Chapter 309: I’m so sorry

Chapter 309: I’m so sorry

Kai woke up in bed, his body completely sore and his head throbbing. He could barely remember anything other than the fact that it started to rain white, but other than that, his head was blank.

Around him were all of his girls, each of them cuddled next to him as he slept, claiming one part of his body as their own. He smiled, looking at how cute all of them slept, but then the memories came rushing in.

He remembered touching the white substance, and his mind went blank. But because his subconscious recalled everything, Kai managed to recall everything he did to everyone.

"I-I...What did I do?" Tears started streaming down his face. He wasn’t balling, but he was extremely sad. He felt horrible. He hurt his girls, the women he cared about. He nearly killed them; no, if it wasn’t for him giving them immortality, they would have been dead.

"It’s not your fault." A familiar voice called out to him.

"Mom?" His voice cracked, raw emotion spilling out of him as he saw his mother standing above him, rubbing her hand on his head.

"It’s okay, my sweet. Everything is fine. Your loved ones are safe. Your father and I stepped in since we saw that you weren’t acting like yourself. We noticed that you were in contact with Progenitor Decay."

"Progenitor Decay? What the hell is that?"

"Come, let’s speak in a more private setting." Cassie took Kai to the void, a place he was already familiar with. Leo wasn’t there, but it didn’t matter.

"Heh, this place."

"Progenitor Decay is a type of energy your father created specifically to deal with your siblings. Because you all were born from his seed and not created by him, such as myself, you all were born with a small piece of Progenitor Energy."

"Let me guess, Leo would have to absorb our essence to get rid of us, or create a new energy to do so." Kai assumed. And based on the fact that Progenitor Decay exists, he was assuming it was the latter.

"Correct. Progenitor decay removes the identity of anything with progenitor energy. If Leo absorbs something that has an identity, that identity is ingrained into his being. Now, he can choose to have it affect him or not, but he did not wish to have the identity, or memories, of his children within his being."

"So he reduced them to the most basic form of energy and then absorbed them?"

Cassie nodded. "Correct. This is how all of your siblings died, all except for one, Aion. He managed to overcome the effects of the decay and even use it. Because of this, your father imprisoned him in non-existence."

"Non-existence?"

"The area where nothing is, but will be. It doesn’t exist until the universe expands and exists there. Kind of. It’s a crazy place. Even I can’t exist there for long periods of time."

Kai did not understand one thing what she said, but he went along with it.

"Speaking of being mind-controlled, first off, I didn’t even know I could. Guess being in contact wth the decay made that so. And second, I met a man named Narwhal, ring a bell?"

Cassie’s entire demeanor changed. The void rumble, and she had an extremely worried expression. "What did he say? What did he do? Are you okay? Did he hurt you?"

"Hey, hey, I’m okay. He simply asked me if I knew who some clown named Nemean is. I told him that I didn’t know who he was. But he told me space whales exist. That’s really fucking cool."

"Kai, Narwhal is a Titan, and he was Aion’s best friend."

Kai...truthfully had no idea what he would do with that information. Like sure, the guy who fucked with him was the best friend of his older brother that he didn’t know, but that didn’t matter to him.

The only thing Kai wanted to do was kill the guy since he was the one who made him attack his loved ones, at least that’s what he assumed.

"What was he after, besides being related to Nemean?"

Kau shrugged. "He said I was weaker than he expected, but when he realized that he had no connection to this Neamen fellow, he examined me again and confirmed that I didn’t, then sent me away."

Cassie scanned Kai’s entire being, mind, body, and soul, and found nothing wrong with him. Sighing with relief, she spoke.

"Tell me or your father about any weird experiences you have, okay? This is a serious matter and cannot be taken lightly. You are not your true self yet, and because of that, you are susceptible to the influence of higher beings, such as mind control."

Kai did not want to go through that again. "I understand."

"Good, I’ll be off now." She sent Kai back to his ship and returned to her main body.

’Man, it’s kind of weird and cool having three moms. The one who raised me, the fake one from this world, after taking over the memories of the Kai from this world, and now my real mom. Sweet.’

Soon after Kai returned, some of his girls woke up. At first, they were scared because they saw that Kai was missing from his spot, but when they saw him standing in front of a window, shirtless, they sighed with relief.

"Baby." Gwen was the first to get up, hugging Kai’s back with her chest exposed.

He didn’t face her or hold her back; he was too ashamed.

"I hurt all of you."

"No, no, don’t say that."

"He did, though. That shit hurt! My ribs were shattered." Kyana walked over to Kai, her bare boobs bouncing, and kissed him on the lips. "But I still love you and I always will."

Amaya, while she hated fighting Kai, did enjoy her battle since she was able to go all out. "You really put us through it, hah. I didn’t know you were that strong. It felt like I was fighting against a god, and I don’t even know what that feels like."

"Husband! I’m so glad you’re okay! Please don’t go crazy again!" Karumi cried, thinking her baby maker was gone, but she was so glad Kai came back to his senses.

"Heh, sorry." Kai was so happy that he made them immortal. He didn’t know what he would do if he learned that he was the reason why they were dead.

For the rest of the night, Kai cuddled with all of them. He just wanted to hold them all and feel their warmth.

"I love you all."

"We love you too."
