Chapter 333: I can breathe in space!
"Don’t think this can stop me, little brother! I’m still far stronger than..."
Kai flew in with a concussive punch to the face, knocking Aion away. "Shut the fuck up!"
He followed him as Aion skidded across the ocean, launching blasts of destruction at him that kept Aion skidding.
Kai wasn’t able to sense where the locket was, but that didn’t matter. He would beat that information out of him.
"You’re a horrible older brother, just letting you know!"
"I don’t give a fuck!" A spear formed in Aion’s hand, leaping toward Kai.
Kai smiled, summoning his chained blades. He flew past Aion on purpose, throwing his blade backward to strike his brother in the back.
His attack failed, blocked by Aion’s great awareness, and he shot a beam from his spear while charging at Kai.
Kai blocked the attack by spinning his blades from the chain, and when Aion’s spear was near, he wrapped the chain around it, dragged Aion in, slashing at his chest, then kicked him away, still having the spear wrapped in his chain.
He then took the spear, feeling source energy coursing through it, and threw it at Aion so hard that the water beneath him started to boil from the heat his throw generated.
The spear struck Aion in the chest, and before he could do anything, Kai appeared behind him, blasting his brother with heat vision while stabbing him with both blades in the chest and stomach.
"Give me the locket," Kai demanded
"How dare you make demands in my presence!"
"Have it your way then." The sky crackled with lightning, and Kai struck them both with the bolt.
"Arghhhhhhhhhh!!"
"Give me the locket!"
"I’ll fucking kill you!"
The longer the time passed, the less time Kai had to get the locket. He knew he wouldn’t be able to hold on for long, so he had to think outside of the box, literally.
"Fuck. I hope I don’t die!" He took off into space, taking Aion with him. He sent five more clones to aid the two that were fighting Narwhal to keep him pinned on the planet.
"What are you doing?!" Aion punched Kai’s face, drawing blood, but his grip never loosened.
"Since that locket is preventing Leo from seeing what’s happening in the world, I just have to get the planet out of the locket’s range.
"Dammit!" Aion didn’t think Kai would pull a stunt like this. He wasn’t worrying about being seen by Leo since he still had the locket, but Narwhal was a different story.
"UNHAND ME!"
"Make me, bitch!"
Kai kept flying, moving as fast as he could as he exited the atmosphere. He didn’t even get the chance to appreciate the darkness of space as he kept flying. He crashed into asteroids, comets, felt the rays of stars, and the coldness of the void. Still, he kept flying.
"Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!" Aion continuously beat Kai, but the guy wouldn’t let go, and finally, the planet was out of range.
Back on the planet, Nawahrl was beating up most of the Kai’s, but in the process, he was taking a lot of damage. He was bloodied all over, but the condition of the clones was worse.
"Fucking bastard." Narwhal cursed.
"Yes. Fucking bastard indeed."
Narwhal froze, not expecting to hear the voice of this person behind him.
"Heh, ’bout damn time, dad." The clones merged into one being, not needing to fight anymore.
"P-P-P-Progen-"
Kai took advantage of the moment and rammed his hand through Narwhal’s chest, crushing his heart, killing the bastard.
Then, Leo erased Narwhal’s body from existence.
"Where is your main body?"
"In space. Check the area where you can’t see. That’s where I am."
Leo took off.
"Hahaha! Dad is back! And he’s on his way!" In his excitement, Kai alerted Aion of Leo’s presence, which prompted Aion to create a rift that sucked him into it, teleporting him away.
"Ahh, I probably shouldn’t have said that."
Just then, Leo appeared. "There was someone with you here? Where did he go?"
"A rift opened up here and took him away." Kai pointed at the spot.
Leo literally grabbed space and ripped it open, reopening the rift Aion had taken. But as he looked into it, he closed it back.
"I can’t see where he went."
"My bad. In my excitement, I told him that you were coming."
Leo smiled and rubbed Kai’s head, messing up his hair. "It’s okay. I’m just glad you’re alright."
"I wasn’t going to be alright if it wasn’t for this demigod protocol. I even pumped all my points into myself, and that wasn’t enough. Aion fucking stabbed me in the heart, then I became a demigod."
"Wait. What do you mean, Aion stabbed you in the chest?"
"Huh? Uhh, the guys who attacked me were some loser named Narwhal, and the other guy was Aion. But according to him, he wasn’t in his main body, but was using the body of a titan to project his mind into."
Leo looked in a specific direction, seeing Aion still trapped in his prison. When he peered through the veil, he saw Aion smiling back at him.
"Hmm. What did he want you for?"
"To, uhh, take my essence. And I was like, dude, that’s fucking weird. I’m not even into men."
"Kai."
"Sorry. He said that he wanted to absorb my essence, just like he did with my siblings who didn’t side with him."
"Hmm. So that’s why he killed all of the people in the universe who still worship and follow me. He took their essences, the part of my power I gave them."
"Oh yeah. He also has this thing called the Lion Locket that can block you from seeing where he is. That’s why you couldn’t see what was happening in this world. Also, your name is Nemean? What the fuck, dude?"
Leo nearly burst out laughing. "Hahaha! Yeah, that’s what I called myself back in the day."
"Back in the day, he says, as if that wasn’t billions of years ago."
"On Earth, Nemean is a lion, one that was named after me, by the way, and when I came back, they named a constellation after me, calling it Leo. Thousands of years later, I just kept going by that name. I liked it a lot."
Kai stared at his dad in disbelief. "So you’re just casually dropping the fact that you influenced Greek Mythology."
Leo shrugged. "I influenced a ton of religions. Hell, even gods pray to me."
"Must be fucking nice. Anyway, let’s go back to...whatever that planet is called. My girls are probably worried sick."
