Chapter 1469: Brother And Sister Bond By Hunting Beasts
-----
"Let’s see..."
Meanwhile, behind me, Emeraldine pointed her bow into the skies, her two Divine Spirits floated around her, with Root as the third, who her two original spirits glared at strangely every time he appeared.
Root had not only made a contract with me after all, thanks to his great powers, he was able to also bond with Emeraldine, becoming her Familiar Spirit as well.
It was not common for this to happen usually, but yes, beings could become the familiar of multiple masters, if their "vessel" to take on their master’s soul connection was big enough.
Root was, naturally, enormous, and very strong, so it was an easy task for someone of his caliber.
"Gyuuuh! Let me help, master!" Root said, as he enchanted her bow and her arrows. "That should do it!"
"Thank you Root! Let’s help everyone then!" Emeraldine smiled, she was friendly with Root, making her original spirits a bit jealous of him, it didn’t help they didn’t consider him one of them.
They were honestly very picky spirits, all things said. They still kind of dislike me, but at least they don’t fear me like before.
"{Spiritual Yggdroot Arrow Rain}!"
Did she say Yggdroot?!
FLAAASH!
A giant arrow was divided into hundreds of them, raining down upon the enemy, and easily avoiding her friends, as they quickly impaled dozens of foes every second.
Most were non-fatal wounds, but the arrows would instantly explode into countless branches and roots, growing through the bodies of their hosts, tearing them apart from the inside out.
And once they had grown enough, they would detonate into a large spiritual explosion of light, dealing even more additional damage...
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"Woow! That was a big attack, haha!"
She giggled while seeing the destruction she brought, she was quite rejoiced about it, indeed.
She had changed from her shy self... Well, she’s still very shy and all, and nice and cute and kind.
But Emeraldine has indeed begun to enjoy hunting a lot more than before, and she saw it as a way to release stress and feel better.
"Hehehe! Don’t run! Come here, dinner!"
RUMBLE!
And as I looked at my cute elf wife, I noticed a giant spider rushing through the forest, destroying trees and everything.
The Nightmaresaurs were so terrified of Arachne’s size and aura that they started running away!
Yeah, the territorial beasts realized it was pointless to fight her and ran.
However, she didn’t let them.
"I said come here!"
With an angry roar, she fired a lot of spiderweb everywhere, creating a giant net that blocked their escape route.
"Hehehe, now stay there!"
As the Nightmaresaurs fired Nightmare Magic attacks and their breaths while trying to escape, she reached them and quickly attacked them fiercely.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!"
Her sharp and long as spears legs impaled their bodies, and then she started tearing their flesh and eating them right there.
Unlike other spiders who used their poison and enzymes to turn the interior of their prey into a soup to drink it all up, Arachne had a more developed jaw, devouring her prey.
She had really grown up a lot too!
"Sister... Hey, sister! Are we going to fight? Or are you going to let your Familiars do everything?"
"Hm? Oh!"
I hadn’t realized I’ve been just looking while doing nothing myself.
My Undead had already been summoned automatically, armies of giant skeletons raised one after another from my Shadow Realm.
As the old ones died, they had been progressively replaced by the new Nightmaresaurs Skeletons and Zombies, and also of other Nightmare Beasts.
They create Nightmare Undead, which are much stronger than the usual Monster Undead!
And well, there’s also all of my Spirits, who I once more temporarily evolved using Nightmare Power, and they were wreaking havoc as usual.
There was also Thorn protecting me with her endless thorny vines everywhere, so I felt quite safe.
"We could go for a round, sure, let’s stretch our legs! Arthur, you wanted to hunt with your big sis? How cute~!"
"I-It’s nothing like that; I was just wondering...!" Arthur said. "Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s go!"
"Yes, yes~!" I smiled, following my little prince-like brother, he was as cute as I remember him even when he had grown up quite a lot since then.
The two of us charged forward, I brought out my Great Sword as I swung it against the incoming Nightmaresaurs and other smaller Nightmare Beasts, such as massive crimson mosquitoes the size of cars that began appearing, or the Plant-type Nightmare Beasts.
Meanwhile, my brother used his spear, techniques, and the power of his evolving Aura to unleash devastating attacks, his Aura of Yin and Yang constantly shifting and spinning around, darkness and light converging within him.
We moved together like a powerful meteor of light and darkness, zigzagging around from one place to another, devastating as many monsters as we came across!
Our attacks using techniques and skills were potent, leaving behind large explosions as well~
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"You’re getting pretty good at hunting, little brother!" I praised Arthur, as I saw him impaling the head of a giant monster.
"I am still nothing compared to you, sister... Back then you were only a magician, but your abilities have improved and expanded so much!" He said. "You’re a master of weapons and magic now... command undead, what can’t you do?"
"Hahah! I feel flattered, but it wasn’t like I got such power handed to me easily... It is only the result of our tragedy..." I sighed. "But let’s not think about these things, alright? Oh! I was thinking about something, do you want a Familiar?"
"F-Familiar?" He was a bit confused about my question, but I noticed he had some interest. "Like a Spirit?"
"I don’t think I can create Spirits like the ones we know about yet... But I can assign you a special named Undead that will evolve and develop alongside you!" I said. "Do you want some?"
