Chapter 146: Chapter 146(Luxury Car Extra Chapter)
"As long as you study the Supreme Profound Sky Sword Technique with care and apply your own understanding and talent, it won’t take long before you touch the level of ’transforming the world,’" Ebon Azure said calmly.
Ethan’s gaze was steady as he listened.
"When that time comes, you will draw parallels between all your weapon minds—the Scythe mind, the Sword mind—they, too, can reach the level of transforming the world."
The founding ancestor’s voice was quiet but full of conviction.
"Be confident. Those who have lost their way find the way back. This is especially true for the way of weapons. The differences between a scythe and a sword... are subtle, not insurmountable."
Ethan reflected.
He recalled how he’d once wielded the scythe with power, and how his swordsmanship had been refined through countless battles. The two weapons, though vastly different, shared a fundamental essence: the ’mind,’ the spirit behind the weapon.
Today, he had been recognized and accepted by his ancestor—an unimaginable honor. Bowing with deep respect, Ethan folded away the scroll.
"My thanks, ancestor," he said earnestly.
"I have no demands," Ebon Azure replied.
"I hope you perfect the Supreme Profound Sky Sword Technique fully one day and inherit all I have unlocked."
He hesitated, then added thoughtfully, "Also, my Azure Origin Dao Sect... forget it, your end is not just here, and even the entire continent is not your limit. I hope you can take my place and go out of the continent and go to other continents."
"Leave the continent?"
"Have those who’ve reached Supreme Realm power ever remained confined here?" Ebon Azure smiled faintly.
"The Six Continents are vast, far more expansive than I once believed. Among them lie many supreme powerhouses—and perhaps even Emperor Realm cultivators beyond imagining."
Ethan’s mind swirled with the possibilities.
"Lastly, I offer you one more gift."
Ebon Azure stared intently at the stone table near him.
Ethan turned, but the man in black had vanished, leaving the table bare except for a dark mask resting ominously on its surface.
The ghost face mask was a macabre sight, its grimacing visage shifting slowly as if alive—a spectral force trapped in an unyielding shell.
Ethan’s heaven-piercing mind eye flicked open to examine the mask’s aura.
"What manner of power is this?!" His eyes widened sharply.
The aura radiating from the mask was immense and suffocating.
It weighed on Ethan more heavily than the first time he’d met Mr. Burn.
Back then, he was but a mere boy, nearly defenseless.
Now, with his strength approaching the invincibility beneath the Mahayana Realm, this ghostly aura still stirred his heart with unease.
Before he could deliberate further, the mask suddenly lifted, floating on a silent wind.
It spun, twisting into a swirling black vortex, and then lunged through the air—
Right onto Ethan’s face.
"Holy shit!"
He grasped frantically for the mask, but found nothing solid.
"Where... where did it go?"
He looked into a nearby reflective pool and saw his unblemished, handsome face—no trace of the mask remained visible.
Ethan’s eyes darted toward Ebon Azure for answers, but the ancestor had disappeared utterly, his voice now echoing faintly from the vault above.
"You hold my inheritance and this mask. When that day arrives, I hope you will make a difference."
"That day?" Ethan asked urgently.
"You will know when the time comes."
"My final thoughts fade, but before I cease, I offer this advice—if ever you find yourself cornered, hopeless, return here. There might be better choices awaiting."
Ebon Azure’s voice faded slowly into silence.
"Hey! Make it clear, will you?" Ethan shouted into the stillness.
Only silence answered back, a mocking void that drew a bitter laugh from his lips.
"What a trickster..." he muttered, shaking his head resolutely as he retraced his steps.
Emerging from the inheritance place, the valley trembled briefly beneath his feet—then stilled into an eerie calm.
The endless visions of heaven and earth that had illuminated the trials vanished abruptly.
The world felt at peace for the first time in ages.
A figure tinted blue burst free from the mist of the inheritance land.
It was Ethan, victorious, emerging amidst cheers and whispered awe.
Lyralei ordered the Origin Formation withdrawn.
A collective breath escaped from those assembled, tight and shallow.
Obsidian Howl had been right—the formation consumed immense spiritual energy and strength to sustain.
Alongside Lyralei and revered Elder commanders stood Seraphina and other disciples who had arrived early.
"How did it go?" Lyralei asked, scanning Ethan closely.
"I saw remnants of the Blue Void Ancestor," Ethan replied calmly.
Lyralei’s eyes flickered, surprise breaking her calm facade.
Though Ethan provided few details, it was clear he had transcended where she had faltered.
He had reached the very end and seized the ultimate inheritance of their sect’s ancestor.
Seraphina, twitching nervously beside them, inquired softly, "What did the ancestor’s remnants say?"
"Where is the deepest place of the inheritance? What exactly is the ultimate inheritance of our sect?"
Ethan’s patience thinned at her humbling tone.
"If you want to know," he said icily, "go find out yourself."
Seraphina stammered, shocked into silence.
Her lips pressed tight, she seethed but said no more.
"Junior Brother Ethan, are you unharmed?" Althea approached with concern.
"Senior Sister Althea, your complexion looks pale. Is everything okay?" Ethan asked in turn.
Althea explained briefly what had transpired during his trial.
"Obsidian Howl, the Great Elder of Wisteria Cloud Valley?" Ethan mused.
"And Kai—the Pure Spirit Body genius? I’ll remember their names," he added, a sly smile playing on his lips.
"Junior Brother Ethan," Althea pressed again, "how did the inheritance trial conclude?"
"Passed."
Althea nodded approvingly. "Was the spiritual fire you desired their?"
"Indeed," Ethan answered with a warm smile.
"Thanks to Senior Sister’s assistance, I located the spiritual fire within the inheritance place. Truly grateful."
He produced another vial from his storage ring—the precious Heavenly Spirit Pill.
"The heavenly spirit elixir. A top-grade pill that can aid the breakthrough to the Tribulation Transcendence realm from the Body Integration realm."
