Chapter 178: Chapter 116: Is Han Lie That Awesome?_2
Wang Xiaotian’s head spun; he was completely stunned by the revelation.
Presidential suite?!
What the actual fuck... Are you messing with me?!
He was dumbstruck for a good while, then a realization hit him—That’s impossible. What was the point of Han Lie bragging about something like that to him? It would be easily debunked and just make him a laughingstock.
The Humanities campus was so small; not knowing each other’s family backgrounds was normal, but it was impossible not to notice the differences in spending levels and attitudes.
Acting? Wishful thinking. You just can’t fake that stuff.
Pretending to be poor is easy, but faking wealth is complete bullshit. Inviting everyone for one meal would expose you.
The presidential suite was right there. How could he keep it hidden forever without letting anyone visit?
So, it had to be real.
That’s just too damn terrifying...
What kind of family is this?!
Wang Xiaotian’s throat felt incredibly dry. He opened his mouth twice but didn’t know what to say.
He considered himself someone who had seen a bit of money. After all, he handled monthly cash flows in the high hundreds of thousands and often spent thirty to fifty thousand per bill at entertainment venues.
But still, he was stunned by Han Lie.
A simple comparison made it clear: Liu Yingjun spent over two million a year, and the hotel room he rented only cost over a hundred thousand. That was already quite wasteful, as it was hardly ever used. And Han Lie? How much would renting a presidential suite for a year cost?! How many times could he even use it?! And what about all the other expenses?! Damn! The more he thought about it, the more terrifying it became...
Wang Xiaotian licked his lips, his back and waist involuntarily hunched down a bit more, his posture so low it didn’t befit a senior.
"Young Master Han, your level is beyond my wildest imagination! The room your family arranged for you... surely it can’t be *that* expensive, right? For people like us, with no special connections, the best discount we’ve ever heard of is 30%..."
Good grief, this guy really knew how to kiss ass... He almost had Han Lie himself believing it.
Do I really have a long-term presidential suite rental? Oh, not yet. But I will soon.
Facing the flattery, Han Lie remained expressionless, offering a noncommittal smile.
"I can’t let you help me for nothing, Brother Wang. I won’t give you money, but if you ever need to impress a girl by booking a room, come get my card."
"Ah? It’s not a room card?" Wang Xiaotian was surprised.
"What do you need a room card for a presidential suite?"
Han Lie patiently explained, "You just need to call ahead. The butler will be waiting downstairs. A dedicated service team of several people will be busy attending to your needs 24/7, so you won’t even need to open the door yourself. Just give me a heads-up when you need it, and I guarantee you’ll make a grand impression in front of any lady."
Wang Xiaotian had a sudden realization, then a touch of gratitude welled up in his heart.
Look at Young Master Han’s character! Not arrogant at all, straightforward in his dealings, and an absolutely great person to befriend! So worth it!
Filled with gratitude, Wang Xiaotian laid on the flattery for a good while longer before finally leaving, completely satisfied.
When he returned to the second floor and told Liu Yingjun and Fang Tongzhi, everyone was stirred into a state of shock and disbelief.
"Damn! For real?"
"FML, what kind of family is that..."
"Damn, the freshmen this year are something else! Zihao, Zhou Ci, Li Xiang, Pan Ge, Li Tongtong... and now Han Lie too. Did we hit a den of tycoons this year?"
"Being rich is one thing, but the kicker is that these bastards are all ridiculously good-looking, one more than the next! Where’s the justice in that?"
"If you looked like you, you definitely wouldn’t dare to aim for Pan Ge~~~"
"Screw off! My family’s not short on cash; I don’t need to set my sights on anyone!"
"Is Zhou Ci short on cash?"
"What’s that dumbass got to compare with Han Lie?"
"No comparison, no comparison. Even if all of us pooled our assets, we’d barely come close to Han Lie..."
"Don’t include me. Squeeze me dry, and I still couldn’t afford a presidential suite."
"I’ve never stayed in a presidential suite in my life, except for relatives’ weddings."
"I stay in them all the time. There’s a so-called five-star hotel in our small county town where my dad and his buddies keep the presidential suite booked year-round."
"How much per night?"
"Five or six thousand, I guess."
"Damn! That’s what you call a presidential suite? More like a village chief’s suite, right?!"
"Hey, don’t knock the village chief’s suite! That room is freaking huge—about 500 square meters! And the waitresses? So gorgeous that if you pinched them... well, you get the idea. Can the Ritz-Carlton compete with that?"
"HAHAHA! Yeah, that definitely falls short!"
"Hey, Old Wang, how big is Han Lie’s suite?"
Wang Xiaotian replied awkwardly, "How could I be so nosy as to ask about the details? But he did promise I could borrow it when I need to woo a girl."
Wang Hong arched an eyebrow. "That young fellow is quite generous, huh?"
"No doubt!" Wang Xiaotian gave a thumbs-up. "He’s truly loaded and doesn’t sweat the small stuff!"
"Pity he just can’t hang with us."
"That’s true," Wang Xiaotian nodded. "He’s too disciplined. He spends his days either studying or monitoring the stock market, and then works out for at least three hours every day."
"Crap! What bloody nonsense!"
Old Hu, a sophomore, scoffed contemptuously. "Then how did he even get into our university?"
Liu Yingjun quickly defended him. "Maybe he didn’t even need to study hard. He could’ve just been busy with his own affairs and casually aced his way in."
Old Hu’s eyes darted around, suddenly egging on Wang Xiaotian.
"Why don’t you borrow that room someday, and we can hang out there for a couple of nights?"
Wang Xiaotian’s first reaction was to decline. "Aren’t the dorms good enough? Comfortable, peaceful, and quiet."
"Crap! You can’t bring girls into the dorms! How can that compare to a presidential suite? We could be playing cards and, you know, playing ’ball’ with some girls!"
"Makes sense, makes sense... BWAHAHAHA!"
