Chapter 87: It’s a trap.

Chapter 87: 87: It’s a trap.

Skilled in swordsmanship, Lysander had sliced the tiger’s arms with his sword. It was an unexpected attack that led to an unexpected hit.

Lysander now stepped forward, facing the second tiger that was coming for him and Eden, looking more vicious than the first even with a cut in its arm.

Lysander stood in front of Eden, protecting him against the beast that had now jumped forward for an attack. Lysander engaged in a fight with his sword.

And so Eden stood there at the back, alone. Watching as Lysander and Elvis occupy themselves with killing the tiger that was viciously on their necks.

He guessed he’d have to stand there and watch while hoping they ended these beasts soon. Because Eden didn’t think he had whatever it took to fight a tiger!

He was still learning how to kill the rat at his little apartment, talk more of a freaking tiger!

And while he stood there at a distance, watching them fight the tigers while praying that another didn’t bounce on him anytime soon, something else happened.

He suddenly felt a hand over his mouth. Completely covering his mouth while aggressively dragging him away.

Eden wasn’t prepared for any of this. So he didn’t know how to fight against the hand over his mouth now which was silencing him.

He couldn’t shake off his mouth from the hand, neither could he shout for help. All he did was watch himself be dragged away by someone into the woods against his will. While watching Lysander and Elvis fight tigers without noticing that Eden, whom they were protecting, was already gone.

Soon, Elvis had placed the last strike on the tiger, sending it to the ground, dead. He turned to help Lysander kill off the tiger that was shaping up to become more vicious than the one he himself killed.

And soon, the two of them stood there watching the two tigers on the floor, dead.

Lysander sighed "That was wild..." He panted softly as he turned to Eden "Don’t worry, you’re safe..."

He paused "Where is Eden?"

Elvis turned too, his eyes searching the environment.

Lysander began moving around the scene, looking for Eden in the bushes there and at the back of the tree as though he was playing some hid and seek.

But Elvis stood there, knowing that he wasn’t close by anymore.

He didn’t need anyone to tell him that it was all a plan. And that someone had sent the tigers to distract them while they pursued their ultimate aim.

Kidnapping Eden.

And soon, Lysander noticed that too "Oh, no" He said "It was all a trap to kidnap Eden"

********

Eden almost choked on the hands over his mouth as he was dragged through the woods that night. Like a slave who tried to run away.

He was aggressively dragged through the woods for long before he was finally let go. He was thrown to the floor as soon as they arrived at the spot.

Eden coughed as he rolled on the floor where he was thrown to. Trying to catch his breath from the hand that disrupted his breathing.

He was too busy catching his breath and himself that he didn’t notice the people that gathered him. And when he finally did notice those around him, he stiffened.

Eden sat on the ground, softly coughing now as he stared at the horses that stood before him. Horses with men sitting on them.

It was dark, so it was hard to see their faces. But with the stick of light held by some of the men around, he was able to catch the face of one who appeared to be the leader. The face of the one who sat on the horse right in front of him.

It was Leo. The Grand Duke of Enor.

Eden sighed, almost rolling his eyes. He should have predicted that one or the male leads were one to pull this. Especially someone like Leo. Or even Adrain.

"I should have known that the tiger attack wasn’t ordinary" Eden had his eyes on him " You set it all up"

Leo gave no reply. His eyes rested proudly on Eden.

Eden coughed as he added "What’s it now? Why are you kidnapping me this time around?"

"Isn’t it obvious?" Leo questioned, sitting majestically on his horse.

Eden looked around him. Leo’s men had circled him. All on their horses and with their weapons. It wasn’t too hard to guess that Leo wanted him dead tonight.

He stared at Leo "I’m too tired and hungry for this. Let’s play some other time, huh? Okay?"

"Does this look like a joke to you?" Leo questioned. "I’m here to steal the opportunity and win the glory for myself. Not here to play games with you"

Eden hesitated, staring at him. He knew Leo wasn’t one to back down easily, so if he didn’t do anything to escape, he would probably die tonight in his arms.

"Your Grace, You know you’re breaking the rules of the game? Right?" Eden looked around "You weren’t supposed to come with your guards, but you came with more than that"

Eden added "And you should be haunting the animals with tags. Not endangering the lives of humans. That is two rules broken"

But Leo scoffed, mocking his words "And do I look like I care?"

Leo approached Eden with his horse as he looked down on Eden who sat on the bare ground.

He smiled "And I’m not endangering humans at all.. because you’re not a human. You’re a monster instructed to be killed off by the Emperor. So what makes me in the wrong for executing the Emperor’s commands?"

Leo had a sharp smile on now. And it made Eden realize that speaking logically with him wasn’t going to work.

He needed to think fast. He needed to find something else. Something that he could use against Leo while stopping him from ending him tonight.

Something that Leo thinks he only knows. Something that even Leo can’t resist.

And potentially something that would automatically pull him closer to Leo from this day onwards.
