Chapter 391: Money Is No Object

Chapter 391: Chapter 391: Money Is No Object

Ashley Shaw could tell that Ariana Grant was having a standoff with the sales associate. As a friend, she naturally had to back Ariana up, not undermine her in front of others before anyone even spoke.

So, she "pretended" to circle around and finally stopped in front of a classic coat.

This coat was priced at sixty-eight thousand yuan, and she actually already had one.

It was something Claudia Jennings bought for her before.

However, when she left the Prescott Family, she didn’t take anything from them, so this coat naturally stayed there.

She chose this coat because, one, it really suited her.

Two, the sixty-eight thousand yuan price was relatively lower at this store, and Ariana Grant could afford it.

But after buying it, she’d find a way to pay Ariana back.

"This one, please take it out for me to try."

The sales associate frowned, as if they owed her eight million, and said, "You guys are certain you genuinely want to buy this, right?"

Ariana retorted, "What, do you think we have nothing better to do than try on clothes here without buying?"

After she finished speaking, she added, "Whether we buy it or not, we need to try it on to see if it fits."

The sales associate pursed her lips but still handed over the coat.

"The fitting room is over there. Be careful when you change, don’t snag the clothes."

She paused, then muttered under her breath, "If you snag it, even pretending to buy will turn into a real purchase."

Ariana heard and her cheeks flushed with anger.

"You—"

Ashley tugged on Ariana’s sleeve, "Forget it, we came to shop, no need to stoop to their level."

After saying that, she asked the sales associate, "You weren’t supposed to serve us tea when we came in? Is this your service attitude?"

The sales associate choked back a response.

She wondered in her mind how they knew customers were supposed to be served tea.

With a stiff face, she said, "We only serve tea to customers. It’s not certain if you’re our customers yet."

Clearly just trying to cause trouble.

Ashley gave a slight, cold laugh, said "Alright," and headed to the fitting room with the clothes.

Once she changed into the clothes and came out, Ariana’s eyes visibly brightened.

"This outfit really suits you!"

Ashley smiled, "Great, then we’ll buy this one."

The sales associate was surprised to see they were actually buying it.

The sarcastic remarks she intended to make were swallowed back down.

"We’ll take it." Ashley said, "And please serve us some tea as well."

The sales associate’s expression turned rigid, but she had no choice but to take the clothes for packing.

Another sales associate approached to serve tea, but Ashley raised her hand and said, "Not you. I want her to serve us tea."

"Alright, miss." With a stiff smile, she returned to the counter.

The sales associate who was packing overheard this and her face turned pale.

But under the store manager’s knowing gaze, she had to swallow her anger.

First, she paused the packing to pour two cups of tea and served two chocolate pastries.

"Anything else you need?" she asked, her voice slightly trembling, as if suppressing something.

With a smile, Ashley said, "No, just pack it up, and be quick. We’re pressed for time."

The sales associate took a deep breath and stepped towards the packing area.

At that moment, three fashionable and beautiful girls walked in through the store entrance.

Each girl had a luxury brand bag slung over her shoulder.

The one standing in the center had an orange Hermès Kelly bag with a textured finish, and she was wearing the same coat that Ashley had just had packed.

Noticing the three girls, the sales associates buzzed around them like flies to honey.

"Ladies, what would you like to see? We don’t have many bags here, but there are plenty of clothes. We have most styles in stock."

The girl in the same coat as Ashley spoke up, "I want another just like the one I’m wearing."

The girl next to her said, "Our Noelle accidentally got her coat dirty during lunch, so she needs the same one. Just fetch it, no need to pack. Noelle will wear it out."

The hearing sales associate immediately looked troubled.

Noelle glanced at the sales associate’s expression and frowned slightly, "What’s going on?"

The girl beside her spoke again, "Didn’t you say you have most styles? You don’t happen to be out of this classic one, do you?"

The sales associate laughed awkwardly, "It’s not that we don’t have it; it’s just been sold... You see, we’re already packing it."

She pointed to the counter to show she wasn’t lying.

The three girls simultaneously looked over and indeed saw that a coat, identical to Noelle’s, was already half-packed on the counter.

"Who bought it?" Noelle asked.

The sales associates instinctively looked in the direction of Ashley Shaw and Ariana Grant.

Following their line of sight, Noelle first noticed Ariana.

Because she happened to be blocking Ashley’s face.

About to question how someone of her size could fit into that coat, Ariana leaned back into the chair—

And Ashley’s face came into view.

A girl with bright red lips and white teeth, no makeup, no signs of cosmetic surgery, just the kind of natural top beauty you rarely see.

Upon seeing Ashley, the three girls unconsciously felt a wave of apprehension.

They were the last batch of girls "interviewed" by Owen Sinclair, and according to his assistant, Owen was most pleased with their profiles, hence why they were scheduled at the end to meet yesterday.

Who knew, people before them took up so much time, they could only see Owen today.

Among those seen yesterday, Noelle believed no one was more beautiful than her.

But today, this girl...

While she felt tense, Noelle quickly became relieved.

Owen was only scheduled to see the three of them today. This girl wasn’t part of the "interviewed," so she wasn’t a threat.

No threat, but it was still difficult to see her with calm indifference.

In their circle, especially for those aiming for the entertainment industry, the greatest concern was someone more attractive than themselves.

A natural hostility towards someone more beautiful.

With just one look, Noelle showed displeasure.

The sales associate misinterpreted Noelle’s annoyance as being upset about the coat being "snatched away," quickly said, "Miss, if you want, I can order one from another outlet. It’ll take an hour at most."

An hour was enough time before their appointment with Owen, but Noelle still said, "I just want this one. Communicate with her, and give her the transferred one. I’ll compensate for the time loss."

Clearly indicating she’s the one with money to spare.

"Very well, we will go talk to them right now."

Ashley Shaw and Ariana Grant were customers of the short-haired sales associate, so they approached her first to tell her about this.

Hearing this, the short-haired sales associate immediately said, "Sell it to these three! I’ll talk to them!"

Then she walked towards Ashley Shaw and Ariana Grant.
