Chapter 70: Breathing Exercise
The next morning, Lin Xu opened her eyes slightly as she looked around her surroundings. She was still in her room, but beside her, Mo Ying was nowhere to be found.
Standing up, she stretched a little before she felt something was wrong. She slowly touched her body and couldn’t feel any of her clothes. Then she slowly looked down, only to find herself completely, not half, completely naked.
"Ah!" She screamed as she used the blanket to cover herself immediately.
It was then the incidents of last night immediately started downloading as her face was as red as a tomato.
"I-I-I and Mo Ying had s-sex last night..." she uttered to herself.
"We didn’t really have sex, just a little foreplay..." Mo Ying’s voice was suddenly heard as he stepped into the room with a mischievous smile plastered across his face.
He held a tray of food as he placed it beside her bed.
Seeing him, Lin Xu’s face became more flushed as she held the blanket tight.
"Y-you..."
"What? What about me?" He smiled. "We didn’t have sex, unfortunately, but if you’re up for it, I wouldn’t mind... hahahaha..."
He then leaned towards her as she sat on the bed. Lin Xu was still holding her blanket tightly around her chest, her eyes fixed on him, ready to launch at him if he tried anything.
But he was way stronger. Grabbing her by the waist, he pulled her easily towards him as she collapsed on his chest.
The sudden pull caused her blanket to slip off, exposing her red nipples and well-rounded breasts.
"Ahh... Mo Ying, what do you think you’re doing?!" she shouted as she tried to grab the blanket, but he stopped her from doing that.
He held her by the waist as he placed his head beside her neck, her back facing him.
One of his hands held her firmly, and the other held her left breast, squeezing it slightly, and Lin Xu responded with a soft moan.
"Hmm... M-Mo Y-Ying stop it... it’s daybreak, s-someone c-can come in." She tried to push him away, but he didn’t move an inch, his face still buried in her neck.
Lin Xu tried to push him away, but she couldn’t, and so she ended up giving in as she let him squeeze her as much as he wanted till he finally stopped.
Swiftly, he carried the blanket and wrapped her with it like a mummy as she just stared.
Before she could say anything, Mo Ying muttered, "You asked me what I was doing, shouldn’t I have asked you that same question, Lin Xu? Out of nowhere, you..." he pressed her lips, "this lip of yours to play with me... so what’s wrong with me doing the same to you too?"
He smiled as he then stood up from the bed. "Yan Mei already made breakfast; this is yours. I’m at the backyard, see you later."
With that, he turned around and left as Lin Xu just sighed tiredly. She didn’t want to do that to him; it was that stupid system, yet she had to admit that Mo Ying was a little too good with his mouth.
"Susu!" she shouted, and Susu immediately appeared.
"You stinky, annoying, betrayer, stupid machine of a ball... you deceived me once again?" she shouted.
[ Hahaha! Host, I have never deceived you... Even though the special task wasn’t to your liking, I never forced you to accept it... I’m innocent. ]
Rolling her eyes, Lin Xu muttered, "Whatever! I completed the task... now tell me who the heck my children’s father is?!"
[ Affirmative, Host! ]
A bright blue light filled the room as Susu floated up, its small body spinning in excitement.
[ Information loading... please wait. ]
Lin Xu folded her arms impatiently. "It better not glitch this time," she muttered under her breath.
The glowing screen flickered several times before lines of golden text slowly appeared across it. Her heartbeat quickened as the words came into focus.
[ Identity of the triplets’ biological father: Confirmed. ]
[ Name: Mo Shen. ]
[ Status: Eldest son of the current Great General, Mo Tian. ]
Lin Xu froze. Her lips parted slightly as her eyes widened in shock. "Mo Shen... the General’s son?!"
[ Affirmative, Host! The triplets’ father is none other than Mo Shen, heir to the Mo family and the current Great General’s firstborn. ]
Her mind went blank for a second; she knew nothing of the General’s family or even his children. How the heck did the original Lin Xu even meet the General’s son?
"Susu... tell me what you know about the General’s son Mo Shen."
[ For that information, Host would have to pay a price of 30 taels! ]
Lin Xu groaned and rubbed her temples. "Thirty taels? You’re robbing me blind, Susu!"
[ Knowledge comes at a cost, Host! ] the little ball chirped cheerfully, spinning in midair. [ But I assure you, this information is very valuable. ]
She sighed heavily, glaring at it. "Fine. Take it. Just hurry up before I change my mind."
[ Transaction confirmed! ]
The blue light shimmered again, and streams of data appeared like glowing threads in the air.
[ Mo Shen — Firstborn son of Great General Mo Tian. A prodigy in martial arts and strategy. Known for his calm and reserved nature. At the age of seventeen, he was already leading troops under his father’s command. Of recent, at twenty-five, he vanished during a mission and was officially declared missing — presumed dead. ]
Lin Xu frowned. "That doesn’t explain how he’s connected to me."
[ That’s the interesting part, Host! ] Susu’s tone suddenly turned mischievous.
[ Records indicate that eight years ago Mo Shen spent his last known week before the campaign in Maple Town. And according to your body’s original memory... that was the exact week Lin Xu met with him. ]
Her eyes widened. "Wait... you’re saying..."
[ Yes, Host. You and Mo Shen met there. The triplets were likely conceived during that time. ]
Lin Xu sighed in exhaustion and also in relief. She was happy to know that the father of the triplets was dead, so now there was no one who would dare try to take her children away from her.
[ Host, would you like to know the other names of Mo Shen? ]
"No! I don’t need to know... that’s all. Susu, I don’t need you anymore."
With that, Susu disappeared as Lin Xu got down from her bed with a satisfied smile.
Lin Xu sat up on the bed, still wrapped in the blanket. The tray Mo Ying brought earlier sat beside her, steam rising from the bowl of porridge and buns. Her stomach growled, so she quickly pulled the tray closer and began eating in silence.
After finishing, she took a deep breath and stretched her arms. "Finally, some peace," she muttered before getting dressed and tying her hair up neatly.
When she stepped outside, the morning sun was already bright. A soft breeze brushed against her face as she walked toward the courtyard.
Under a tree nearby, Yan Mei sat with Yiling. Yan Mei was focused on her embroidery while Yiling sorted out different colored threads in a small basket. The scene looked warm and peaceful.
"Morning," Lin Xu greeted as she walked over.
Yan Mei looked up immediately, smiling. "Lin Xu, you’re awake! Mo Ying said we shouldn’t wake you up this morning."
Lin Xu blinked, slightly surprised. "He said that?"
"Yes," Yan Mei said, nodding. "He brought food for you himself before going outside. That’s not something he does often."
Lin Xu looked away quickly, pretending to be calm. "He just didn’t want me to skip breakfast, that’s all."
Yiling giggled softly, earning a small nudge from Yan Mei to behave.
Yan Mei went back to her embroidery and added, "Mo Yuen and Fuhan went fishing earlier, said they’ll be back before noon. Mo Ying and Mo Bao are working in the backyard field."
Lin Xu nodded, smiling a little. "Everyone’s busy today."
Yan Mei hesitated before speaking again, her tone full of curiosity. "By the way, Lin Xu... what were you doing last night? I thought I heard some noises from your room."
Lin Xu froze. "N-noises?"
Yan Mei nodded innocently. "Yes. I almost went to check, but I was too tired to stand up."
Lin Xu forced a laugh, her face heating up. "Oh, that... I was just, um, doing some breathing exercises before sleeping."
"Breathing exercises?" Yan Mei blinked. "At night?"
"Yes," Lin Xu replied quickly. "It helps with sleep."
Yan Mei smiled softly. "Oh, I see. That’s good then, you’ll have to teach me later... I would like to learn."
Lin Xu’s face turned red. "Hahahaha... s-sure, later then haha!"
Lin Xu straightened her back and cleared her throat. "I’ll go check on Mo Ying and Mo Bao. You two keep doing your embroidery."
As she turned to leave, she heard Yan Mei whisper to Yiling, "Her exercises must be really hard... she sounded out of breath last night."
Lin Xu almost stumbled, her face turning bright red. She muttered under her breath, "These people are going to drive me crazy one day."
