Chapter 602: 493 Do you understand?_2
"Magic ceremonial attire?"
Yes, these two rings are magic ceremonial attire.
Morgan, seemingly noticing the surprise in Reiger’s heart, spoke from the side.
"These are ceremonial attires that I have crafted with my own hands. Although not as precious as the ’Tower’ and ’Garden’ level of grand magic artifacts, they can still be considered second only to that tier, one of my proudest creations."
As she spoke, Morgan did not follow any ritual of exchanging rings; instead, she simply reached out with her hand adorned with lace gloves, picked up the two rings, wearing one on her finger and helping Reiger slip on the other.
"Now, it is yours."
Morgan, with an inexplicable emotion, uttered these words, plunging Reiger into silence.
He could feel that the ring on his hand held an extraordinarily powerful force.
Magic ceremonial attire, much like magical artifacts, are items that possess magic or magical effects and are broadly categorized into two types.
One type is used by magicians to assist themselves during magic usage; they can either reduce the consumption of Magic Power, shorten the casting time, or enhance the effect and power of the magic, highly valued by most magicians.
The other type is like magical artifacts, having certain magical effects or capabilities in themselves; once used, they can manifest that effect.
Reiger’s Meroe God Ring, the origin ring, Flying Dragon Talisman, Giant Gloves, and even the treasured artifact of the hero lineage bestowed by Liz—if categorized as above, all belong to the latter type.
The ring now given by Morgan belongs to the former type.
Its effect is simple, much like ’Magic Guidance’; it provides various support to the wearer’s magic, either by increasing the magic’s power or reducing the consumption of Magic Power.
And as a magic ceremonial attire considered by Morgan to be second only to grand magic artifacts like the ’Tower’ and ’Garden,’ the ring’s supportive effect is indeed powerful. To Reiger’s senses, it could rival the ’Magic Guidance’ at his D stage.
With it, the power of Reiger’s magic would not necessarily double, but an increase of about a half was definitely within reach.
This caused Reiger to involuntarily turn toward Morgan, his look towards the ruthless queen changing slightly.
Morgan, however, seemed oblivious to this, touching Reiger’s ring with her own.
In that moment, Reiger keenly felt the mysterious connection established between him and Morgan due to the appearance of the ’Stake’ suddenly strengthen significantly.
It was as though a ritual had been completed, making the bond—already stronger than a servant’s contract—even deeper and more resilient.
At the same time, a flood of knowledge poured into Reiger’s mind.
It was a type of magic.
It was the power Morgan had decided to trade to Reiger in exchange for his one month stay in Camelot until the completion of their marriage ceremony.
Now, the marriage ceremony between Reiger and Morgan was completed, and the two had become husband and wife, at least in name.
With the ’condition’ met, Reiger naturally acquired the power Morgan had agreed to exchange with him, gaining a grand magic that could be considered the ultimate weapon in Fairy Country Britannia.
"You..."
Reiger’s gaze upon Morgan changed yet again.
He knew the power Morgan was exchanging with him was extraordinary, and it could even possibly be one of the grand magics Morgan prided herself on, like the ’Mirror,’ ’Tower,’ ’Garden,’ or ’Coffin.’
Yet, he hadn’t expected the power Morgan was bestowing on him to be this.
This power was indeed one of those grand magics.
But within those varieties, it was also undoubtedly an ace.
Morgan had actually given him this strongest ace directly?
"There’s more to it than that."
Morgan, as if she could see right through Reiger’s thoughts, spoke in an indifferent tone.
"You should feel it again; there ought to be another change that has occurred."
Upon hearing this, Reiger first paused, then his gaze shifted toward the throne in front of him.
This throne, which gathered all the magic power that the fairies of Fairy Country Britannia had offered with their command spells, was now also connected to Reiger.
In other words, Reiger could now use the throne and summon the magic power within it.
What did this imply?
Reiger, well-versed in the original story, found his gaze towards Morgan incredibly complex.
To this, Morgan merely smiled.
"I’ve told you before, you too are a king of this Britannia."
As a king, one has the right to sit upon this throne and to make use of it.
"...Do you know something?"
Reiger asked, entertaining a suspicion.
He wondered if Morgan knew about his eventual ending in the original story and hence left a contingency in place by giving him the rights to the throne, making him a fallback plan for when she was no longer around.
Morgan, however, said nothing and turned her back.
"I just wanted to tell you that even now, I have no regrets."
The queen’s tender voice, unheard by others, reached Reiger’s ears.
"This Britannia is mine."
"I am the king destined to rule this Britannia."
"Even if I do not save the fairies, I will save this Britannia."
"This is my resolve, unchanging."
Having said that, the queen turned again towards the assembled officials below the throne, declaring thus.
"If Britannia is fated to have a true king, then that king is either me or my husband, not some ’Child of Prophecy.’
