Chapter 249 Captured and Taken Away

Just then, several people got out of the business car. The leader introduced himself as the manager of the planning department of Chen Lu's family's real estate development company, and he had brought surveyors.

Before, when I called Chen Jianguo, I mentioned wanting to develop this abandoned village, and he immediately sent people. He even brought Lu Qianxun with him, which I hadn't expected.

"Mr. Wu," the manager gave me a new title, "Didn't you say this was a mountainous wasteland? How come the land is already leveled? That was fast."

"You can wait for your young lady to explain things to you," I deflected. Just a few minutes ago, it was a mountainous wasteland. I couldn't explain to him that this project was achieved with one palm strike from Long Yue. It did, however, save us a lot of money for our tourism development project, otherwise, we would have had to do the land leveling work.

"Qianxun, you'll stay with your mother Yaoyao. Daddy has to go on a business trip and might not be back for a while," I said goodbye to Lu Qianxun.

"No!" Lu Qianxun pouted. "I want to go with Daddy!"

"No, Daddy is very busy and can't take you—" I was patiently explaining when Lu Qianxun's gaze drifted past me.

The planning department manager's eyes suddenly widened, and he actually collapsed. The other people also stumbled back in fright.

"What's wrong?" I turned around. It was Yaoyao, riding Mengmeng down the mountain. The other demons were also in their animal forms, all looking emaciated and gaunt. They must have all exhausted their energy guarding Yaoyao. But even so, this lineup of ferocious beasts was enough to scare a grown man unconscious.

"Don't be afraid," I quickly reassured the people from the Chen family. "These are just our circus animals; they don't hurt people."

Mengmeng walked over. Sha Wuji immediately knelt on the ground to act as a mounting block. Mengmeng grabbed the bear's fur, stepped on Sha Wuji's back to dismount from the bear, and walked weakly towards me. I stepped forward and supported her shoulders. "Yaoyao, why did you come out?"

"You... you go ahead and don't worry..." Yaoyao said softly. "In a little while, I'll be able to save you..."

"How will you save me?" I frowned. "Ah, it's fine. Since she's not killing me, she must have a use for me. Nothing will happen."

"She won't kill you, but she'll skin you alive. Who would use you as kindly as I do?" Yaoyao gave a bitter smile.

"Use?"

Yaoyao called Qianxun over and changed the subject. "Qianxun, you can't go with your father Chengfeng. You have to stay with me. We have to cooperate to save Daddy!"

"Save him? Who's going to capture Daddy?" Lu Qianxun, though a little dim-witted, understood what Yaoyao meant.

Yaoyao wanted to point, but I stopped her from extending her hand. I was worried that Lu Qianxun might act impulsively. If she could unleash even thirty percent of her combat power now, and Long Yue discovered her potential, she would likely crush her ruthlessly, nipping this little Yangtze alligator, this potential threat, in the bud.

"Qianxun, be good and learn well from these mothers!" I pointed to the horde of wild beasts.

"Okay..." Lu Qianxun said, looking wronged and about to cry, unsure if she was worried about me or if her backside still hurt.

I once again bid farewell to everyone and then, with righteous indignation, walked towards the Audi.

The pilot had been picked up by three Purple Qi experts and placed in the co-pilot's seat, while they three got into the back.

Long Yue was driving.

"...Then where should I sit?" I asked, dumbfounded.

"Just squeeze in with them," Long Yue raised her eyebrows.

"Alright..." I reluctantly opened the rear door. A Purple Qi expert got out. Perhaps afraid I would jump out the window midway, she had me sit in the middle seat. After I got in, she got back into the car and squeezed me in tightly before managing to close the door.

On the dirt road, Long Yue executed a tire-screeching start and drove us away from the abandoned village. I saw the navigation she had set, which was directing us straight to Si Ping City, the headquarters of their Mohe people. I couldn't quite make out the exact location, unsure if it was the small castle in the vineyard...
