Chapter 548 Morning Training

Chen Lu pouted and shifted her foot closer to my waist. "Still looking for something? After tasting the sea, other waters are but mere puddles!"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"After being with you... isn't the difference immense when you look for someone else?" Chen Lu teased.

"Is the difference that big? I thought everyone was like this." I said earnestly. I'd never discussed this issue with any guy before, mainly because I wasn't in a position to.

"You're getting the best of both worlds and still complaining!" Chen Lu pouted, retracting her leg and standing up. "This one time with you is enough for me to be quiet for half a month! Do you want me to help you wake up the other girls?"

I glanced at Chen Lu's small watch on the table. It was only seven o'clock. Dawn had broken, but it wasn't fully light yet, so I wasn't in a hurry. Everyone had a tough night; let them sleep.

However, I knocked on Chen Ke's door. She hadn't participated last night and had been resting, appearing to be in good spirits.

"Ah Ke, help me disguise myself. I want to go for a run," I said. My time was up, and I'd automatically reverted to my original appearance.

"Are you going alone?" Chen Ke asked.

"Do you want to go?"

"Sure!"

After we both disguised ourselves, we went downstairs. The hotel attendant in the lobby informed us that the buffet on the second floor was open and we could eat. I didn't feel particularly hungry, and Chen Ke didn't want to eat either. We left the hotel. After a simple warm-up, we jogged along the road. Not far ahead, a park appeared.

I had seen this park from upstairs. It was quite large and well-landscaped. I pulled Chen Ke into the park and began running along the paved pathways.

Halfway through our run, I suddenly felt something was off. I had a nagging sense that someone in the park was watching us. However, when I used my Qi observation technique, I detected no unusual auras. In a relatively open area, I scanned everyone else jogging on different paths within the park with my naked eye. After running a few hundred meters, another open space appeared. Comparing the park-goers here with those earlier, I noticed a woman in a gray tracksuit and a white vest was overlapping.

After running another few hundred meters, I still saw her jogging not far from us.

Despite our caution, we were still being followed. Fortunately, there was a restroom ahead.

"Wait a moment, Ah Ke, I need to use the restroom," I said.

"Ah, okay, I'll wait for you," Chen Ke replied, wiping the fine sweat from her forehead and shifting to a stationary jog.

I deliberately took my time inside, at least two minutes. When I came out, I saw Chen Ke jogging back and forth, centering around the restroom. The woman in the white vest had sat down on a bench about thirty meters away, staring into the distance, pretending to be lost in thought.

"Let's go," I said.

Chen Ke and I continued running. In my peripheral vision, I noticed that not long after we started, the woman in the white vest also got up and began running, following us from our rear flank.

After a short distance, I suddenly slapped my forehead. "Oh no, I left my phone in the restroom just now. Let's go back and get it quickly. It should still be there."

"Ah? Then I'll wait for you?" Chen Ke asked.

"Forget it, we've already run about half the way. Why don't we just run back together?" I smiled.

"Okay, whatever you say."

We turned back. As expected, the woman in the white vest also turned and followed. Without a doubt, she was the one tracking us.

I didn't dare tell Chen Ke, fearing she would worry. I ran towards the restroom, pretending to go in to get my phone, and called Yao Yao, asking her to provide backup. I suspected that someone with a normal aura who dared to follow me must be a high-level expert like Chu Qi, someone who didn't need to cultivate Qi but only mastered martial arts!

Yao Yao asked for our location. I said we'd meet at the park entrance. Chen Ke was with me, and she wouldn't have time to disguise herself, so she'd have to figure it out on her own.

"Then let Da Ji go. Not many people know her," Yao Yao said lazily. From her voice, it was clear she was still sound asleep.

"Anyone is fine," I replied.

After the call, I came out and asked Chen Ke if we could increase our pace. Chen Ke said it was no problem, as long as the pace wasn't below five minutes, she could keep up.

My physical condition was excellent right now. Let alone a five-minute pace, I could even try a three-minute pace. If you asked me to run a marathon, I might even set a world record. After all, the true Qi from two great demons inside me served as a power source, supporting this ordinary person. It was like using an electric car battery to power a toy car – endless and inexhaustible.
