Chapter 275 Unwelcomed

Chapter 275: Chapter 275 Unwelcomed

More ferocious growls tore through the air, one of the werewolves prowled closer towards me, his lips peeled back revealing his sharp canine teeth.

"I’ll teach you a lesson on behalf of the Alpha." The werewolf leapt into the air, his wet dark brown fur bristling in the air, his light gold eyes narrowed with bloodthirst and hatred.

The little witch beside me, hid behind my back, trembling and cowering, burying her head on the ground.

My eyes narrowed, my gaze remained expressionless, and gold light whirled around my fingers.

I won’t be a pushover this time around, for every one of their actions I pay it back tenfold.

I raised my hand, however, a figure blurred past me like wind, followed by a crushing sound and growls and whimpers.

The other werewolves stared with shock, their tails tucked between their hind legs, then they bared their neck.

When I turned around, Beowulf towered over the werewolf, his fangs circled his neck. A look of surprise flickered through my eyes.

One of the werewolves with grey fur stepped forward, he changed back to his human form... Elder Dominic.

My jaw clenched as his eyes met mine, he was stunned, almost as if he had seen a ghost.

He walked past me, his eyes still lingering on me. "Alpha..." He turned to Beowulf who was still biting the werewolf despite the werewolf having submitted. "Show mercy... he did it to protect your reputation." His gaze softened.

After seconds of growling, Beowulf reluctantly let go of the werewolf, and then, he transformed into his human form.

Damon’s raven dark hair fell over his face, he ran his fingers through his hair, brushing them off his face.

His chest and abs glistened with blood, his silver grey eyes swept through the crowd, before landing on me.

He walked towards me, his eyes not leaving me for a second. Before he could reach me, Elder Dominic pulled him into a hug.

"I thought you were dead... I felt the bond break." his voice broke.

Damon stiffened his arms. "I’m fine." His voice was devoid of emotion, just like the Damon from before, cold and sharp.

He pulled away from his embrace. "Let me introduce someone to you." Damon turned to me, his gaze softening.

Elder Dominic turned to me. "Ember... She’s alive?"

My eyes flickered with emotions... so they still remembered the name... the name they hated so much?

Damon cleared his throat, his suffocating aura spilled through the air, forcing the werewolves into submission.

"This is Princess Aeris..." Damon began. "She is from the Fae realm... and my master." He said the last part with gritted teeth.

The crowd burst into murmurs, exchanging glances between themselves, as if they could not believe their ears.

Another Elder emerged from the crowd. "A Fae?" He spat with disgust, his eyes burning through me.

"Do I need to repeat myself?" Damon glared at him, furs bristling through his skin.

The Elder’s gaze hardened. "She is a Fae Damon, the same Fae that drove our people to their deaths, and you brought one here and expects us to welcome her with open arms?"

A growl rumbled from Damon’s chest, his aura became very overwhelming that the Elders struggled to keep his head straight, he bared with neck with a growl, his knees trembled from the resistance of kneeling, his body shifted in discomfort, and then, his knees dug into the ground with a loud thud.

"I owe her my life... If we should consider our hatred for each other, then she has the right to take my life." Damon’s gaze turned cold.

"Alpha..."

Damon raised his hand, silencing their words. "You will treat her as you treat me... after all, she is my master." He turned to me, the glaciers in his eyes turned to the breeze of spring.

The pack grunted in dissatisfaction, but they swallowed whatever they had to say.

My lips tugged into a bitter smile, after all Damon had the power to protect me back then, but he chose to turn a blind eye. ’Why did he change now? Is it because I’m a princess now, and he thinks I’m now worthy to stand beside him? He even admitted that I was his master... Damon, you are truly despicable.’

"Master, are you alright?" He asked, his voice soft like a new-baked bread.

What an irony. I glared at him, my hatred for him grew a hundred times stronger.

I turned to the little witch. "Come with me," I ordered, ignoring Damon.

The witch rose to her feet with trembling legs. As soon as she took a step, growls and snarls nearly deafened my ears.

I snapped at them. "Are you all dogs? What with the barking and growling? She is my fucking servant... and if you can’t stomach that, go hit your head on the wall."

My nails dug into my palm, nearly drawing blood from them.

"Aeris..."

I glared daggers at Damon, shutting him up. "You won’t accept her?" It was more of a dare than a question.

"She’s a witch." He spat out.

"I know she’s a witch, one that was purified by me. If you won’t welcome us, let me know so I can leave."

His brows knitted together hearing that I had purified a corrupted witch. "The witches are cunning, this must have been one of their plans to infiltrate the pack." His body grew tense.

"Then, leaving it is. I see you haven’t changed that much." I said, my words dripping with disappointment.

I turned to leave.

"Wait..." Damon’s voice stopped me midway. "You are master... of course you are welcome here, and you made huge achievements during the battle, not only did you cure the werewolves from the witches’ spell, you also created a barrier to protect the pack and with your help we managed to win the battle." He said, indirectly reminding the pack of what I had done for them.

I glanced at him from my shoulder, the werewolves were now speechless, unable to say any words against me.

"Lead the way... Pet." I said coldly, each word cutting through the silence.
