Chapter 276 Deja Vu

Chapter 276: Chapter 276 Deja Vu

Hundreds of eyes bored through my back as I walked past them, but none of them dared to voice disapproval.

We entered the castle, my gaze unconsciously searching the surroundings, hoping Caroline and Lydia would stand by a corner to say hi... but no matter how much I searched they were nowhere to be seen.

The young witch trailed behind me, with her gaze on the floor. Damon walked in front of me, flexing his muscles in front of me.

My steps faltered when I reached the kitchen, I bit my lower lip, my leg unconsciously moved towards the direction... ’They must still be alive right? There is no way they would kill their own kind right? They must be behind the door... Maybe Lydia is making those delicious meals again.’ My trembling fingers brushed the cold handle of the door.

"Master," Damon’s voice snapped back to reality, and a drop of tears rolled down my cheeks. "It’s this way." He added.

My hand hung midway before they curled into a fist, I turned from the door following down the hallway, after a couple of minutes of walking we stopped at the front of a door... a very familiar door.

A glint flickered through my eyes, I stared at Damon. Feeling my gaze on him, he turned to face me. "This is the best room in the castle... the only befitting for you master." His lips tugged in a smile.

My expression turned grim... ’This room... it holds all the memories I want to forget, it is the place where it all started, I can still remember the night we both made love.’ Bile rose in my throat.

Damon’s brow furrowed slightly. "Master... are you sure you are alright? I can feel your emotions through the bond." He raised his hand showing the braided black rope around his wrist.

I blinked. "Open the door, let’s see if it is really the best room in the castle," I said, monotonously.

The door creaked open, and the cold dark room welcomed my view. Everything was exactly as it was. Strangely, my heart hammered in my chest... just like the first time I stood in front of these as a low Omega and a breeder.

My fist clenched tightly, my knuckles turned white. He had the guts to bring me back to this place, after everything he had made me go through.

I stepped inside the room, with the little witch trailing behind me, and Damon stood by the door, holding it wide open for me.

"Shut the door," I commanded.

Damon shut the door behind him. My eyes fell on the King-size bed in the middle of the room, and its linen was the usual dark shades of blue.

Memories of my body entangling with his on the same played at the edge of my mind. Reluctantly, I tore my gaze from the bed, and they landed on the large grey couch on the left side of the room, memories of him tending to my wounds while he strapped me to his thigh flickered through my head.

Tears welled in my eyes... I thought he truly loved me back then, that he just didn’t know how to show it... my knight in fur. I chuckled inside my head bitterly, what an irony, the same knight in white fur sent me to my death.

My gaze hardened, I kept browsing through the room, my eyes fixated on the brown polished table and black comfy chair... I was framed for having stolen what was kept inside it.

I let out a shaky breath, the emotions inside me building up like a storm. I lowered my gaze, staring blankly at the polished oak wood floor, with a black fur-like spread around the middle of the room.

"What a boring room," I muttered under my breath.

I turned around, however the little witch was the only one beside me, I searched the room for him, only to feel a heavy presence by the window. Slowly, I turned towards the window, only to find Damon casually leaning his back on the wall, his hands tucked inside his pockets.

’When did he put on his clothes?’ My gaze scanned him up and down.

"You think the room is boring?" He asked, with his head tilted to the side, his lips curled up into a smile... one that looked too pure for him.

’Why not say what I’ve always wanted to say all this while?... and why is he reenacting the same position he did the very first time in this room?’ My eyes narrowed at him.

I scoffed. "Your room lacks vibrancy and it looks so old-fashioned with no appropriate taste, which is making my eyes bleed out and killing me with boredom. In other words, your taste is not superb." I gave him a thumbs down.

He chuckled, "Is that so?" He asked, his narrowed gaze staring nonstop at me. My lips tugged into a smirk, does he really think he could make me fidget under a burning gaze again?

I walked towards him, and I stopped a few inches from him. It was annoying that I had to tilt my head up to meet his gaze... it was kind of intimidating that he looked down to meet mine.

I didn’t let that affect me. I tilted my head to the side, glaring at him. "Don’t you have eyes... don’t you see how bad and distasteful the room is?... Don’t tell me I need to give you one of mine." I shook my head in disappointment.

Then, I leisurely placed my hands on the wall, trapping him between the wall and me, with nowhere to go.

His gaze turned to one of amusement. "Master, should I change the room decor to the one that suits your taste?" A mischievous glint flickered through his eyes, it was too fast for I missed to discern what it was.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance... I’ll do what he had done to me. I walked closer to him, his back pressed against the cold wall.

"Must I tell you everything Damon... don’t you know your job as a pet?" I raised one brow at him.

He blinked, puckering his lips into a pout... He was also reenacting what I did when he cornered me into a wall... this guy. He tilted his head slowly, blinking nonstop.

"Stop that," I warned. Seeing him act like this made my face flush with embarrassment... ’Was it this bad when I did it?’

"Why?" His eyes drooped.

My lips tugged up slightly. ’Why not give a taste of his medicine?’

"Because you look like... an Incredible Hulk doing a butterfly dance." I deadpanned.

’What a minute... that didn’t land hard as I wanted, did it?’
