Chapter 313: Captain Sweatii
"What’s the Arena?" Kai asked one of the prisoners.
"What’s the arena, he asks. Are you fucking dumb? It’s a place where you fight and in this case, hopefully die." The prisoner who responded to Kai had a bad attitude and was clearly upset by something. He even spat at the ground and cursed Kai for being stupid.
"Damn, bro, I just wanted to know what goes on in the arena. You didn’t need to be a dick about it." Kai contemplated just killing the guy, but he decided not to.
"Yeah, sure. A child knows what happens in an arena, so you just asked a dumbass question."
"For all I know, the arena could be comprised of cooking contests!" Kai argued.
All of his companions face-palmed from his response.
"A cooking contest? Really? If I could get out of this cell, I’d kill you for saying something that stupid."
"Do it pussy!"
"MOTHER FUCKER! DON’T THINK THIS CELL WILL STOP ME FROM SLITTING YOUR THROAT!"
"Heh, look at this guy, so easy to ragebate. Anyway, I’ll be back. I’m gonna see what’s up with this place." Kai made a clone to replace him and left.
"Okay, be safe." Though Nadya was talking to his clone, she knew the main Kai could still hear her.
The Pirate base was huge, not the size of a city or town, nowhere near that big, but it was around the size of a large fort.
There was an entire civilization in the base. Restaurants, shops, merchants, houses, and even schools were present in the base. The schools, however, weren’t the typical schools that you might send your child to.
It was more of a learning hall where you were taught new hands-on skills, sort of like a trade school. But children did attend this school so they could be useful when they grew up.
Speaking of children, there were a lot of them here. Not as much as a town, but enough where people would be living in this place permanently.
Of course, every single one of them was a child of pirates, so this meant that they would grow up in this environment and become pirates themselves.
Kai visited all these places, getting a good look at them and understanding the layout of the base better and better.
’This place is actually pretty nice. Some areas are outdated and out of commission, so I’ll need to fix or replace them, but other than that, this base rocks. I wonder where the pirate captain is.’
As if the universe was listening to Kai, one of the pirates approached him. "Hey, you, come with me to meet the captain. I need to inform him of the prisoners we have captured."
"Me?" Kai asked. "Why?" He was currently in a disguise, so people thought he was one of them.
"Why? Because I’m scared, that’s why. You know how the captain is!"
Kai shook his head. "No, I’m new, just arrived around 4 months ago. I have no idea what the captain is like."
"Lucky bastard. I wish I were in your position. Well, sorry, but today I’ll have to be traumatizing you."
"Cool. I’ve always wanted to meet the captain."
The pirate simply sighed. "No, kid, you don’t."
Kai followed the Pirate as they headed to the Captain’s quarters. They greeted people along the way and even helped some of them here and there.
The pirate Kai was with wouldn’t stop shaking as they drew closer to the captain’s quarters. It was clear that he was scared of the guy and wished he didn’t have the honor of speaking with him.
Eventually, though, they made it to the doors, and the pirate just stood there.
"You okay, bro?" Kai asked
"No. I’m scared. Don’t tell the others I said that, though."
"What are you so scared about? He’s just the captain. It’s an honor to meet with him. Besides, you captured the bastards who killed our brothers and sisters. Surely the captain will reward you for your efforts."
The pirate slowly nodded, getting a boost of confidence from Kai’s words. It made sense, too. There was no reason to be scared, only to be proud, and he was proud of capturing the people who killed their brothers and sisters.
"You’re right. There’s nothing to worry about. Thanks for the pep talk, kid. I needed that."
Kai patted the guy on the back, placing a time bomb of mana inside him. "No problem. Even the younger generation has to look out for our seniors."
"Heh, you’ll be a fine man when you grow up. If you become a crew leader, I bet you’ll be one of the best."
Kai smiled. "Thanks, that means a lot. Now, let’s meet with the captain."
The pirate nodded and knocked on the door.
"Captain, I have important news to share with you." He said, still shaking but a lot less this time.
"Enter." A deep voice that carried power responded.
They opened the doors and were greeted by a luxurious, dimly lit room. Sitting in the dark with only shots on was a large man with purple eyes and black hair with purple highlights.
There were horns protruding from his head, and he radiated demonic energy like crazy.
On the bed were 10 naked women who were passed out from having sex, and by the captain’s feet were eight unconscious women and two who were still awake, clinging to his legs.
"If what you have to tell me isn’t worth my time, I’ll kill you both." That wasn’t a threat; it was a statement.
"Captain Sweatii." The pirate kneeled, and Kai did the same. "We have captured the people who killed our brothers and sisters."
"Oh?" Sweatti raised an eyebrow, intrigued by this information. "Wasn’t there a hero among them?"
"Yes, but not only did we catch them off guard, we made sure to use powerful weapons and had an entire armada on standby in case our initial attack didn’t work."
Sweatii nodded, standing up and pushing the girls aside. "Good work. You will be rewarded for your troubles. I shall meet with these prisoners."
He got dressed and then left the room.
"Yes! Thank you, Sir Karlmine, for letting me report this!"
Kai alerted everyone through his clone about what was going on. Then, after splitting up with the pirate, he decided to check out the arena.
