Chapter 316: 312, take a flying taxi to meet a woman
A sudden weight on his butt, accompanied by a stern voice, "Dreaming of spring, are you? Hurry up and get up!"
It was Nathan Moore, sitting at the edge of the bed, looking at Felix Shaw, who was lying on the bed, hugging and gnawing at the quilt, writhing his body, and giggling foolishly. Nathan knew for sure he was dreaming about a woman.
So with a slap, he woke him up, to save him from further embarrassment.
With his lovely dream interrupted, Felix was in a foul mood. His peach-blossom eyes, upon opening, flashed with displeasure. But when he met those domineering eyes, his spirit immediately deflated.
"Big bro, I was handling Tingting in the dream!" Felix spoke with grievance.
The possibility in reality was long gone, and just when he had finally had his way with her in the dream, it had been disrupted by his brother, what a pity.
"Alright, wait until the cooperation is confirmed then go home and handle it!"
Seeing that Felix was still sprawled on the bed, not moving, Nathan urged impatiently.
The client Felix was meeting tonight in Banyan City was no small fry; by then, asking him for a favor – to find out which company Titus Zane was working at – would surely be a piece of cake.
Nathan had his plans all figured out, but Felix was clueless about his intentions. Reluctantly, he got out of bed and headed to the washroom.
However, he made up his mind that, once he was back, he would do just that: to rile that woman up so much that she couldn’t resist him any longer!
Wesley Foley’s attitude towards Titus Zane seemed to have improved after a lunch together.
He carefully served Titus, even picking out fish bones for him as if he were caring for a child.
What touched Titus the most was when he ordered a glass of ice water. Before he could reach for it after it was delivered, Wesley had taken it away and instructed the server to bring a glass of warm water instead.
Titus couldn’t help but be moved by Wesley’s attentiveness; after only spending one night at the apartment — and drunk at that — he was clearly aware that she was...
As Titus’ gaze still rested on the ice water that had been taken away, Wesley spoke with a gentle voice.
"If it’s not convenient, don’t drink cold water, otherwise, you’re the one who will suffer."
Something spread in her heart, slowly, and it was very warm.
Once, only Logan Ray cared for her this way, and now, although somewhat shy, the feeling of being cared for really was quite heartwarming.
Before leaving work, Wesley instructed that he would personally pick her up at the apartment for the social engagement, and told her there was no need to dress up deliberately, casual would be just fine.
At the time, Titus was a bit puzzled, but after meeting this client, he suddenly understood Wesley’s intention.
Felix Shaw’s lecherous reputation was well-known in the circle; any woman he fancied, he thought about getting her beneath him.
As a business partner, Wesley naturally knew about Felix’s preferences, which is why he instructed her not to dress up too deliberately, to just be casual.
Perhaps it was out of concern that Felix might take a fancy to her, Titus thought, while also chuckling to himself.
But—
To Titus’ surprise, Nathan Moore was also there. They had just spoken on the phone this morning, and now he was actually going to have dinner at the same table, which was quite unexpected.
Wesley Foley and Felix Shaw shook hands and exchanged pleasantries before taking their seats and began introducing the companions by their side.
As the host, Wesley started the introductions, stretching out his arm, "This is my..."
"We’re acquainted." Felix interrupted Wesley before he could finish the introductions, his peach-blossom eyes not leaving Titus, his smile filled with profound meaning, making Titus feel somewhat uneasy.
He finally figured out why his brother was so eager to come along spontaneously, as it turned out, he was here to meet his woman.
