Chapter 413: 409, where are you taking me?
The flashy sports car sped all the way to an unknown destination for Titus Zane. Although she was inexplicably kidnapped, there wasn’t much fear in her heart.
The man in front of her was a stranger, but he seemed to be a rich heir by appearance. Such men may appear dissolute, but they actually possess strong self-esteem and are unlikely to demean themselves by forcing women.
Therefore, Titus Zane didn’t have to worry about being violated for the time being. What she cared about was—
"Where are you taking me?"
"To my place."
Alder Locke turned his gaze towards her, his peach blossom eyes appearing frivolous when he smiled. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, and from this man’s "windows," it was easy to tell he was a playboy.
"We don’t know each other. Why should I go with you!"
Titus Zane furrowed her brows in displeasure, articulating her point of view.
"You don’t have a choice in this." Alder Locke raised his handsome eyebrows, his peach blossom eyes barely concealing his triumph.
"Stop the car, I want to get out!" Seeing the unfamiliar road, Titus Zane turned to Alder Locke and snapped coldly.
"Are you sure?" He raised his eyebrows again, followed by Titus Zane’s exclamation.
"Are you trying to kill me?" Titus Zane gritted her teeth. This jerk, relying on the nearly empty road, suddenly took a sharp turn before continuing forward.
If it wasn’t for the car door, she would have been thrown out of the car.
"Don’t worry, darling, I wouldn’t bear to." Alder Locke turned his gaze, flashing another flirty look.
"Reckless driving!" Just now, she was yelling to get out of the car, but now, Titus Zane wouldn’t dare to insist anymore, because not only was the road ahead unfamiliar, there were no vehicles in sight far away.
Along the road, besides the rapidly retreating trees, there were endless fields. It was deep autumn, and most of the crops had been harvested, leaving empty fields that looked even more terrifying without a soul in sight.
"Got it!" Alder Locke raised his eyebrows, clearly pleased with himself. Looking forward, one hand rested on the steering wheel while the other tapped unconsciously on it, "My beauty has spoken, I shall make sure you are satisfied."
The flashy sports car turned off into a side road, slowing down, "Darling, let me give you a heads-up. The name’s Alder Locke, twenty-six this year, occupation, currently a vice-president on the company’s board, hobbies, clubbing, and women."
Titus Zane glanced coldly, "I’m not interested in knowing!"
"No, no, no!" Alder Locke said several times, looking ahead, "You must know this, for if the old man asks, and you say I forced you, he would definitely shoot me."
"An exaggeration!" Titus Zane snorted coldly, looking forward disdainfully, "That’s your problem."
"No, no, this concerns both of us." Seeing buildings faintly visible ahead, Alder Locke further slowed down, "Please, Sister Titus, it’s just a favor to help a brother out. Family pressure to marry is intense, I was truly left with no other choice."
With strong-arm tactics failing, Alder Locke shifted to a more coaxing strategy, turning to Titus Zane with a puppy-dog look.
On both sides were towering trees, the road was not very wide. Following that earlier episode, Titus Zane was really worried this jerk would crash into a tree.
Gripping the car door’s handhold tightly, she turned her head and yelled, "Watch the road!"
"OK, your wish is my command." Alder Locke appeared nonchalant, but then he really turned his head to watch the road ahead.
