"Is everything you said true?" Both Silk and Vortex were unwilling to believe that something so sinister had been going on right under their noses.
They had also not imagined that the so-called catalyst core that Commander Qui wanted them to get at all cost was actually meant to make zombies stronger.
If the zombies become too strong for humans to combat, what would happen?
The answer was very simple and it was open. All humanity would die.
But why would he do that? Wasn’t he human?

He didn’t like these people doubting her brother and sister-in-law.
Silk and Vortex looked at the teenage boy sitting with everyone else calmly and appreciated his mentality.
Other teenagers were either crying in despair since their perfect lives had been turned upside down or showing off their superpowers. But this one was sitting with everyone and discussing strategies to overcome the apocalypse.
They liked him already.
Silk smiled at him and said, "We are not doubting your sister-in-law. It is just hard to imagine that the people we had faith in as leaders are the ones persecuting humanity." He sighed as if he was very tired after that.
They didn’t doubt what Leng Pan and Lu Zhen said because they could just go and investigate for themselves and they would find out the truth. So, they didn’t think the two would lie about something that could be discovered easily.
"Well, some people value power more than anything else. You care about protecting the ordinary citizens as a soldier, but your superiors are too busy looking for ways to become stronger.
Others don’t even realize that they are being used in the name of gaining more power to fund the growth of zombies.
They are selling earth without knowing it." Leng Pan was so angry that she leaked some information that even her family didn’t know.
Lu Zhen helplessly looked at his wife who was hoping mad and smiled. She wasn’t even aware that she had let issues of their past lives leak.
However, this information could actually be useful in making the people who join them more resolute in their actions. So, he said nothing.

In that case, this was not some top secret information. So, it wouldn’t hurt letting others know.
"Maybe we should call out other teammates for this. Tao, go call the others and ask them to come here. We are going to share something sensitive." Leng Pan said to her brother-in-law who didn’t ask questions and simply covered himself with layers of clothes before heading outside.
He came back in twenty minutes followed by Juan Ke, Xu Man and his wife, even Janna was there.
"Good morning everyone." Juan Ke greeted everyone before removing the layers of clothes he was wearing and finding a seat.
The others followed in his footsteps and greeted everyone before sitting down.
They had noticed the two strangers and assumed that they were friends of the Lu family. It wasn’t until they were introduced that they realized that they knew that new people were joining the team.
After everyone was offered a cup of tea or coffee, whatever they chose, Leng Pan was ready to talk.
"The reason we asked you to come was first to introduce the new members to you, and also share something important with everyone.

Then, she closed her eyes and tapped into the memories hidden in the meteorite in the space bangle.
Everything about the past started to play on the water screen like a movie.
It showed how meteorites fell on earth. How people mutated and others became zombies. How humans formed teams that eventually became big armies to fight the zombies. How aliens later invaded and joined forces with the zombies to eradicate humans so that they could take over the earth.
It also showed how some humans, driven by greed for power and yearning for survival, turned traitors and joined the enemy to deal with their own kind. And among the leading traitors, Commander Qui was the leader.
