Chapter 364: Powers

Bob slowly approaches Amon as he is called closer. He is nervous, wondering what Amon wants from him.

Now that he knows that his Boss is not just some simple human. He is some kind of magical freak that can do magic and kill people with a single strike.

Bob would never dare to think about rebelling against Amon, now that he has seen Amon's true colors.

Amon turns to look at Bob with the most innocent of smiles. Bob even flinches a little seeing Amon like this. He would rather see Amon with a frown or an angry expression.

"Why do you look scared?" Amon asks.

"No, Bo..boss, I am no...not scared!" Bob says.

"Indeed, why would you be? It's not like you saw something weird happen now, did you?" Amon asks.

"No, boss! Nothing weird happened. I didn't see anything!" Bob says, his pitch getting very high from fear.

Seeing this, Amon suddenly burst into laughter. "Hahaha, relax. I won't do anything to you.... Unless," Amon says, going from smiling to looking scary, which turns Bob's skin tone ashy.

"I would never think of ever betraying you, Boss!" Bob screams.

"Good," Amon says, patting Bob on the shoulder. "And what about you?" Amon asks, looking at the rest of the bunch, who started aggressively shaking their head left to right, telling Amon they would even dare to think of such.

Amon smiles and snaps his fingers. A light envelops all of them in an instant, catching them by surprise. They look down at their hands and feet as they feel a sense of warmth traveling through their bodies.

"Boss?" Bob looks at Amon, confused.

Amon then suddenly conjures a gun out of nowhere into his hand and aims it at Bob's chest. Bob immediately panics, but before he can even do anything, Amon pulls the trigger.

"ARRRRGGG!" Bob screams and clutches his chest, thinking he got shot, but then he notices something weird.

He doesn't feel any pain at all. Instead, he only felt an itch when the Boss pulled the trigger.

Bewildered, he takes his hands off his chest and sees a hole in his shirt, and then a flattened bullet drops down to the floor.

Bob can't believe what he just witnessed, and neither can the rest of the goons.

Bob looks up at Amon for answers. His face is full of bewilderment as he gets overwhelmed with emotions.

Amon smiles and speaks. "You are now bulletproof, also you have superhuman strength," Amon says.

"Bulletproof... Superhuman strength?" Bob repeats Amon's words and looks at his hand. He clutches his fist a few times and realizes that he is bursting with energy he has never felt before.

Amon then looks at the other goons. "As for you lot, you all only have enhanced strength, no bulletproof abilities, but if any of you managed to impress me, then I might think about it," Amon says.

The goons also realize that there is overwhelming energy coursing through their veins. They all start getting excited.

"BOSSSS!!!!" Bob immediately gets down on his knee and slams his head into the concrete, cracking it in the process. "I will forever stay loyal to you, boss. I will do anything you ask of me. If you tell me to kill myself, I will do it without hesitation!" Bob declares.

Seeing their boss go down on his knee, the rest immediately follow suit, pledging their utmost loyalty to Amon.

Amon chuckles. "Get up," Amon orders. They all get up. Their faces now filled with devotion and respect for Amon.

"I didn't just give you these powers for nothing," Amon says.

"Just tell us what we need to do, boss!" Bob declares.

Amon smirks. "I want you bunch to expand your numbers, take over the other gang territories, take over their business, leave nothing behind. I want you lot to be the biggest criminal gang in this city, do you understand?" Amon says.

"Your wish is our command, boss!" Bob shouts excitedly.

Bob has always wanted to be one of the biggest crime bosses of this city, but the best he could do was become a local gang leader. But now with Amon supporting them, his having superhuman strength and being bulletproof, that dream is no longer just a dream.

"Also, one more thing. You will not participate in any kind of illegal sex rackets, human trafficking, or organ trafficking. I despise those things. Do you understand?" Amon orders.

"We will do as you say, boss!" Bob shouts.

"Good. Here, take this," Amon says, handing over a pen drive to Bob. Bob takes the drive and looks at Amon, confused. "What's this, boss?" He asks.

Amon smiles. "Evidence," Amon says and then points at Jeff, who is still lying on the floor. "Take him and hand him over to the police with that drive," Amon says.

"That's it?" Bob asks. "That's it. I am leaving. Keep me updated on your progress," Amon says and walks away as the gang watches in silence.

They still can't believe what just happened. A few minutes ago, they got introduced to magic, and now they have become products of it.

As soon as Amon is out of their sight, the gang starts going crazy over their powers. Some of them start running around and realize how fast they can run now because of the explosive power in their legs.

Some of them jump very high up in the air, and some of them punch walls and see cracks form on them.

They can't believe how strong they have gotten in a matter of seconds. The thrill of having access to this power puts them in a special kind of high they have never felt before.

Even Bob is overwhelmed with curiosity. He tightens his fist and feels overwhelming power in it. He looks down at the concrete floor and thinks about driving his hand through it, and then he does it.

Bob punches the floor with all his strength. Suddenly, there is a huge boom sound that scares the shit out of the other goons who were lost in their own high.

All of them turn their heads to look in the direction from which the sound came and see a huge dust cloud, and as the cloud settles down, they see their boss on one knee, with his hand halfway down into the floor while the floor surrounding him had caved in, forming cracks in the shape of a spider web, spanning three meters in circumference.

They couldn't believe their eyes. How can a mere human have so much strength? Of course, they all have enhanced strength and can probably punch through a wall if they punched at it a few times, but it's nothing compared to what they are seeing. Their boss's strength is on a completely different level.

They realize that their boss is no longer human.

"Hee" A sound escapes Bob's mouth, and then "HEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." He stands up and starts laughing like a maniac.

"With this power, I am going to become the biggest, most powerful crime boss in the world!!!!!" he shouts, declaring his intentions.

Hearing this, the rest of his goons raise their hands in unison and cheer for him. Discover more novels at novel⚑

Bob grins ear to ear.

"Boys, grab that asshole and let's head to the police station, it's the big boss's orders," Bob says. The rest of the gang nods. One of them approaches Jeff and is surprised to see Jeff completely healed. There is not a single scratch on him.

All those bones that they broke and the muscles that their bruised are all healed up. The goon shudders, thinking how Amon, their big boss, can heal the worst of injuries with just a thought.

He starts believing that this boss is a literal god, and he is not far off with his speculation.

He then picks Jeff up and is surprised by how light Jeff feels now, compared to before, now that his strength is enhanced.

The gang then walks out of their hideout, gets in their car, and drives to the nearest police station.

At the police station, when the officers notice a local gang drive in, they immediately become alert. They see Bob, a known repeat offender.

They wonder why Bob is here. Is he here to mess with them? To take revenge? Start a fight? The officers get nervous.

But to their surprise, Bob hands over Jeff to them, saying it's the guy who murdered that rich dude in the parking lot, along with proof.

When asked where he got all of this, Bob made up a story about how Jeff came to them with a hit job, but Bob and his gang are criminals with morals. They would never kill. Instead, they caught Jeff, checked his possessions, and found the drive on him.

The police were not buying Bob's good guy act, but they could not ignore the evidence they had in their hands.

The drive had multiple videos of the murder that day.

How Jeff approached that rich old man and stabbed him multiple times till he died, then videos of him running away from the crime scene, the videos of him taking off his helmet, revealing his face.

The evidence couldn't be denied, and it also made sense. When the police tried to find this video footage, the files were either already missing or corrupted. Now the police believe that Jeff might have gotten to them before they could.

Jeff was then locked up, his files processed, and his court hearing fixed within a matter of hours.

Never has the police worked so efficiently; it is as if a higher power is making them do it.
