Chapter 363: Not Human

Chapter 363: Not Human

Jeff felt a lot of things as he was being stared down by Amon with that smug but confused look on his face.

Jeff felt terrified, wondering what was going to happen to him, but also insulted as he knew Amon was doing this on purpose, just to get some sort of sick twisted pleasure out of his misery.

Jeff didn’t understand why Amon was doing this to him. In his mind, he did nothing wrong.

Reading his thoughts made Amon laugh. He couldn’t believe Jeff is still delusional enough to think he was not in the wrong here.

Not only did this idiot start stalking Megan after getting enamored by her beauty and start obsessing over her, but he also started daydreaming and fantasizing about being with her. He then tried to drive a rift between Amon and Megan, only to fail miserably as he realized that Megan knew about Amon’s other lovers all along and got off to it.

He then tried to get Amon killed.

But in Jeff’s head, he was the good guy; he did all this for the greater good, so he could not be at fault.

Jeff was clearly delusional. In fact, his mindset was no different from those of radical terrorists who are so blinded by their cause that they start killing innocent people who had not wronged them in any way.

Jeff, of course, couldn’t see this about himself.

Maybe his past self, one that didn’t know Megan, would have definitely seen how crazy he was being, but what’s done is done.

Jeff is already off the edge; there is no saving him.

Amon could, of course, help Jeff here, make him forget, and send him back to being the guy he was, but why should he? It’s not like it’s Amon’s fault for Jeff getting so obsessed with Megan.

If anyone is to blame, it’s Jeff. He should never have obsessed over a woman this much. There are other people who see Megan daily, and they all have very explicit fantasies about her, but they are not obsessed with her like Jeff.

"Come on, Jeff, tell me, do I look like a demon to you?" Amon asks with an innocent smile on his face. If a stranger saw Amon like this, they would immediately believe Amon is the innocent one, one hundred times out of one hundred.

Jeff grits his teeth in anger. He can’t believe how good Amon is at playing innocent.

’No wonder he has my goddess wrapped up in his fingers, this man is not just a demon, he is the devil himself,’ Jeff thinks.

Amon smirks, hearing Jeff’s thoughts, so he leans in to whisper something into Jeff’s ear.

"You got it all wrong, Jeff. I am no devil... I am way, way, way more scary," Amon says.

As soon as these words came out of Amon’s mouth, Jeff’s eyes shot wide open as she slowly turned to look at Amon. Now he is petrified because, how did Amon hear his inner thoughts?

"Yo... you...." He stutters with his words as he meets Amon’s eyes. The coldness and intensity in them are chilling.

For the first time, Jeff feels a feeling way worse than terror. Cosmic Horror.

He realizes that all this time, calling Amon a demon, a vile creature, was a mistake; in fact, Amon is way worse. A being beyond comprehension walking among humans.

Jeff didn’t have any proof, but he could feel it. He felt how insignificant, useless, and meaningless his existence is as he stared into Amon’s cold eyes.

Amon slowly breaks into a smile; it may look gentle, but there is nothing about it that makes it look gentle; it’s the most bone-chilling smile Jeff has ever seen.

Even the goons who are standing behind Amon feel chills run down their spines, even though they don’t know what Amon and Jeff are talking about.

"Looks like you now know how fucked you are," Amon says.

Jeff shudders.

"Did you really think you could follow my precious little plaything around and nothing’s going to happen to you? Did you really think an insignificant worm like you even deserves to breathe the same air as one of my playthings?" Amon asks.

Jeff wants to scream; he wants to yell at the world and tell everyone that the man before him is not human, he is something else entirely, something scarier than even the devil.

And he, a normal, insignificant man, tried getting close to someone who belonged to this being; his goddess was nothing but an object to this being, but it is still his to have. Jeff made a terrible mistake.

"P...please...." Jeff tried to beg for mercy, but before he could even speak, Amon smacked his face with enough force to send his whole body, along with the chair, flying.

Amon made sure that his head didn’t explode like a balloon, but he also made sure that Jeff felt all of it.

The goons who stood behind Amon felt the slap in their bones. Their bodies involuntarily started shivering in fear as they saw their big boss smack the living hell out of Jeff.

The same thing happened to one of them, and he was left headless.

Amon slowly gets up, making the gang members flinch and take a step back. Amon chuckles seeing their reaction, but doesn’t say anything. Instead, he walks towards Jeff, who is now a few meters away from him, trying to crawl away.

The chair he was sitting on has shattered into pieces because of landed hard against the ground. It is to be expected, as it was a very old chair, but its arms and legs are still tied to Jeff’s hands and legs.

Jeff tries his best to crawl away, half of his face is caved in, and he is drooling blood. The pain he felt was so intense that he had gone medically insane. There is no normal thought inside Jeff’s head right now, only pain and the instinct to run away.

Jeff might have gone mad, but his brain and body are still trying to keep him alive, telling him that he is in danger and he needs to get the hell out of here.

Amon smirks. He bends down next to Jeff as he tries to squirm away and grabs him by his hair and lifts him.

"GuuHaaattttcc." Jeff’s mad words aren’t even coherent, as one side of his jaw is completely shattered.

But the cosmic fear in his eyes as he sees Amon is very present; his broken body starts shaking and squirming, trying to break free, but how can a mortal escape the clutches of an immortal?

Amon smirks. Suddenly, Jeff’s body begins to heal. His insanity gets fixed, but he still remembers everything that has happened to him.

"Don’t worry, I have way worse things planned for you than death. Do you think you could just get away after the inconvenience you caused my Megan?

You stalked her all day. You wrote her a love letter that disgusted her to her core; she would rather have had someone throw acid into her eyes than read that filth you wrote. For the inconvenience you have caused her, you are going to suffer," Amon says.

Jeff can’t speak at all. He is petrified.

"Plea..." He tries to beg for mercy again, but Amon smashes his head into the ground, breaking his frontal skull but preventing him from dying while also keeping his brain intact so he can feel the pain.

Amon then heals Jeff again, before smashing his face into the ground again. He gets his face healed before getting his face smashed again.

While Amon does this over and over again, the gang members watch all of this happen with terror in their eyes. They see how Amon is smashing Jeff’s face into the ground with enough force to kill him, but then they see Jeff’s face return to normal.

It’s magic. They can’t believe they are witnessing magic right before their eyes.

Now, everything starts making sense, because how can a human just slap someone and pop their head like a balloon? It’s not possible. This question has been haunting all of them since the moment they saw it.

But now they have an explanation. It’s their Big Boss. He is not human at all. He is something else.

This terrifies them to the core, as they realize that they have gotten themselves involved with something that is not human.

They silently want as Amon breaks and rearranges Jeff’s face over and over again. None of them dares to run away, fearing that Amon might come after them.

Amon only stops once Jeff goes limp.

He has given up struggling as he realizes that he cannot escape Amon’s wrath.

But as soon as Jeff gave up, Amon lost his source of fun, so he stopped. He heals Jeff one last time as he needs to be sent somewhere else as his final resting place, where he will spend the rest of his time, getting what Amon believes he deserves.

"Boys," Amon calls as he stands over the limp Jeff. He is completely healed; there is not a single bruise on his body, but he has lost all his will to fight back, so he continues to be a dead weight.

"Yes, Boss!" All of them, gang members, shout in unison, now their voices filled with fear, along with the respect they had before.

"You big guy, what was your name again?" Amon asks.

"It’s Bob, boss," The boss, named Bob, says.
