Chapter 1694: 566. Work Report of the Pioneers Who Lost Their Ambition to Indulgence – Additional Content for the “Huo Zheng Ting Hao” Brothers [8/30]_3
Unfortunately, this diary was just written by an apprentice of the Twilight Organization, and there’s not much substantial information in it.
She quickly finished reading the diary, then picked up the folded chart given by Lord Qin. Upon unfolding it, Mengha, sitting in the car, was almost shocked out of her seat.
To the untrained eye, this chart appeared to have various impressive-looking blocks and connecting lines, resembling some sort of mind map.
But in Mengha’s eyes, this was no simple mind map; it was a roadmap for a mega-scale biological experiment! According to this roadmap, the mysterious organization’s genetic modification of the Ratmen was already in its final stages. They were only three steps away from fully enhancing the Ratman race.
The steps were “Spiritual Energy Endowment,” “Wisdom and Clan System Enhancement,” and “Absolute Leader Selection and Cultivation.”
Meng HaHa had been involved throughout the Ratman eradication, and she understood their tactics and numerical advantages very well. She also knew that the current Ratmen were merely a “semi-finished product,” and faced with a well-trained army, they were bound to be slaughtered. But if these three projects were to be completed, the now rather weak Ratmen would definitely be transformed significantly.
Combined with the Ratmen’s terrifying numerical advantage, if they were to be released into the Dark Mountain Range in the future, they might fully expel the Wolf People in a very short time after iterations, and take over the ecological niche of the Wolf People in the Dark Mountain Range.
They would become the new “Black Disaster”!
An even more terrifying, powerful, destructive Black Disaster.
“Damn it!”
The usually rational Mengha, in this rare moment, swore, and angrily shouted:
“This world is truly going to perish; how could such crazy creations have been made, and how come the big shots of this world are so blind? They actually allowed such lunatics to operate in the shadows. They should have been eradicated as soon as they showed themselves!
Damn it!”
Mengha was startled by the future she imagined and deduced.
She couldn’t afford to think about Lord Qin’s identity at this moment. She jumped off the carriage, summoned her Earth Wolf, and ran toward the carriage where the Young Lady and Lady Adel were, ignoring the Vampire guards’ obstruction, banging on the door loudly.
The Young Lady and Adel, who were discussing Shadow Valley affairs, were taken by surprise. They opened the door to see Meng HaHa so agitated and invited her in for a talk.
The physicist spent a few minutes explaining her conjectures and even took out the diary and chart to explain the hidden dangers to the two “medieval vampires.”
Her eloquence wasn’t the best, but the consequences of this matter were truly terrifying. Although Adel didn’t quite believe that the currently weak Ratmen would become a greater threat than the Wolf People in the future, considering that the Ratmen had already attacked the Blood Fear Clan, becoming enemies of the vampires, after discussing with the Young Lady, she decided to establish an additional “Ratman Task Force” under the Shadow Intelligence Bureau.
Meng HaHa was promoted to the head of this group, tasked with recruiting members to conduct a more in-depth investigation and summary of this danger.
Once Mengha found more evidence to support her conjectures, Lady Adel would grant her more authority.
Although not entirely satisfied, Mengha couldn’t say much upon receiving such a result. All her conjectures were based on the limited information she had, with no solid evidence.
Upon receiving an additional triggered mission, she returned to her escorted vehicle, finally having time to ponder the issues she considered earlier.
Why did Lord Qin hand these things to her…
Could it be that the old gentleman also realized the threat behind the Ratmen’s emergence? Wait a minute! She seemed to have heard from Loyal Brother that there were not only their personnel “lurking” in Transylvania.
Could it be, Lord Qin was a member of a brotherly organization?
Uh, but which organization would send such an old agent into Transylvania?
Meng HaHa’s mind was full of questions without answers, but as they were about to return to Shadow Valley, this young scientist agent started to catch a hint of something.
What if!
Suppose this continent truly existed, and the “Creation Truth” described in this diary had nothing to do with Spiritual Energy, purely a technological means, wouldn’t that imply a super technological civilization capable of casually “rewriting genes” lay hidden beneath this continent?
If the “genetic engineering” described in this diary was knowledge in line with her understanding of genetic science, could the technology crazy enough to create Ratmen be brought back to the real world as a reference?
They could even create biological weapons.
This level of scientific advancement surpasses the real world by more than one notch. If her conjecture was correct, it would mean the personnel lurking in this mission would soon make an astounding “discovery.”
“No way! I can’t handle this alone!”
Feeling a bit fearful at the thought of it, Meng HaHa immediately thought of “passing the buck”… uh, requesting higher-up support, and soon received a brief report offline by Loyal Brother, who was still busy at the Andma Hills Arms Factory.
Although all of Mengha’s planning was based on conjectures, Loyal Brother, after a brief thought, decided to follow up on this matter.
Otherwise, their “Transylvania Task Force” really wouldn’t have much to do! They couldn’t possibly let their intelligence personnel in the group idly enjoy the game fun, could they?
Darn it!
Everyone holding special funds must achieve something, or how would we write the report?
They couldn’t submit a report on the development of the Arms Factory to the higher-ups each time, could they?
Moreover, Loyal Brother, an experienced agent, also understood the significance of Mengha’s conjecture. If it was truly confirmed that Transylvania hid a technologically high-powered super civilization, the current small-scale operations would quickly escalate into formal actions.
As a leader, he also had to plan a future for his subordinates.
So, let’s do it!
