Chapter 1326: Chapter 1326: Big Brother’s Tenderness (Part 8)

From the city to Changling, the weather was good and the road was easy to travel. It took about three hours to arrive, and when they got there, it was not yet four o’clock. There were still more than three hours until the train’s departure time, so there was a bit of extra time. Ruan Jianguo first drove to the nearby Ruan Family Restaurant.

This place was managed by the third uncle of the Ruan Family.

They knew the family was coming, so dinner had been prepared ahead of time.

The three uncles didn’t know the details about Jiaojiao’s situation; they only knew she went to Beidu for medical treatment.

They had been worried, without daring to ask too much for fear of further upsetting the family. Today, seeing them all smiling, unlike how they’d appear when sad, the uncles were immediately relieved, knowing that Jiaojiao was probably fine.

Over the years, the third uncle of the Ruan Family truly became increasingly stout, but he remained as genuine as ever. Although the Ruan Family was now financially stable, and Jiaojiao was lacking nothing, he still bought a bunch of nutritional supplements insisting that Ruan Jianguo take them to Beidu for Jiaojiao.

Among the four brothers, aside from the first branch of the Ruan Family doing best, the third branch had always lived quite well. However, a couple of years ago, Du Qing’s mother fell seriously ill, spending a lot of money, causing the third uncle to live the worst among the four brothers now.

Fortunately, Ruan Jianguo was always supportive of his brothers. Here in Changling, he had opened two storefronts, one of which was pretty much half-given to Ruan Jianjun. As long as he was willing to work, the future would be promising.

The family had dinner here, a bit past five o’clock. During the meal, Du Qing saw the little kitten held carefully by Xiu Xi and felt a bit puzzled, but didn’t think much of it.

They finished dinner by six o’clock, and Ruan Jianjun personally drove them to the train station. During their stay in Beidu, the car would be kept at the restaurant until the family returned to pick it up.

A little past seven, the train arrived on time. Since it was evening, it was relatively quiet. Security checks weren’t as strict during this period, so people were allowed to bring chickens, ducks, and similar animals, making the Ruan Family not draw any attention for bringing a cat on board.

Jiaojiao was escorted onto the train by Xiu Xi.

Since she was currently a young kitten, unable to drink milk, the biggest concern for the trip to Beidu was her food. Although the family had plenty of goat milk, they couldn’t turn it into milk powder. Fortunately, some days ago, Shu Wen asked a friend to urgently send over two cans of it, solving Jiaojiao’s food problem.

At the restaurant earlier, Jiaojiao had already drunk goat milk once. Held in Xiu Xi’s arms, she dozed off and on during the journey. When on the train, she became more alert.

The train hadn’t departed yet. The lights on the train were still on. Jiaojiao laid in the small basket specially made for her by the Ruanlin Family, her eyes rolling around, curiously watching the people passing by.

"Sweetheart, do you want to sleep with daddy tonight?"

This time, Ruan Jianguo managed to buy a compartment sleeper ticket. Ruanlin Family and Shu Jiao would sleep on the lower berths, while the three men would take the upper berths. As he settled the luggage in the upper berth, Ruan Jianguo touched Jiaojiao’s little belly and asked.

Jiaojiao was ticklish, rolling back and forth under his hand, but she was too plump to climb out. Even with a flurry of kicks from her hind legs, it was no use. She eventually could only look to Shu Jiao and Ruanlin Family for help.

Ruanlin Family reached over with a slap, glared at Ruan Jianguo: "You’re a grown-up, stop teasing her!"
