Chapter 831: Victoria

Imperial Capital, Central district, this was the political core not only of the capital itself, but of the entire nation.

The six Elders, the seven Champions, the eighteen Type Elites, and the top twenty trainers on the Elite Ranking—all of their offices were located here.

Of course, these individuals weren't stationed here every day. Aside from the Six Elders, who remained here for extended periods, the others spent relatively little time in this place.

They mostly returned only occasionally.

Julian was one of those who came back only once in a while.

Although most of his paperwork was handled by Ella, some important documents were beyond her authority, and Julian had to return to deal with them personally.

Like the one in front of him now—a file issued directly from the Elder Council, handed to him by James.

"Ella, are you familiar with the Dawson family of Victoria?" Julian asked.

[T/N: Victoria is Hong Kong.]

Julian didn’t know much about Victoria, though he was aware that its cultural industry was quite developed. He rather enjoyed their films, music, and the like.

"The Dawson family? The one ranked first among the Four Great Families of Victoria?" Ella asked.

In Victoria, there weren’t many people with the surname Dawson to begin with, but for a Dawson to come to Julian’s attention, it undoubtedly referred to the leading Dawson family among the Four Great Families of Victoria.

"The current family head is Eric Dawson."

"Then it’s that Dawson family," Ella nodded.

Julian read the contents of the document, his brow shifting from relaxed at first to now deeply furrowed.

Ella stood quietly to the side, not asking questions, knowing very well which matters she was qualified to know about and which she wasn’t.

This document hadn’t passed through her hands but had been delivered directly to Julian by the Elder Council. Clearly, the document was classified as top secret.

Unless Julian granted permission, she had no right to read it.

So, she turned her attention to Celebi playing on the sofa and the unfamiliar yellow Pokémon beside it.

The appearance of this Pokémon had sparked much speculation in the outside world.

Julian had identified it as a Steel-type Mythical Pokémon, Jirachi.

He hadn’t disclosed whether it possessed any special abilities, but simply labeling it a Steel-type Mythical Pokémon was enough to highlight its extraordinary status.

Her younger brother, Dylan, had told her that Julian recently gave him a Pokémon egg of a Duraludon with Cyan-grade potential, along with a set of training instructions.

That gesture made Ella deeply grateful. Even though the Eastbrook family had already become a subsidiary of the Walker family, the value of a Duraludon was undeniable. In terms of rarity, it was comparable to a Pseudo-Legendary.

At present, only members of the Walker and Drake families possessed them.

Julian read the document from beginning to end, then handed it to Ella, saying, "Here, take a look. After you're done, give me your thoughts."

Ella was taken aback and didn't immediately take the document. Instead, she asked solemnly, "Commander, are you sure I'm allowed to read this document?"

Julian waved his hand dismissively. "It's nothing major. Just read it. Don't I trust you?"

With the Seven-Aperture Stone, Julian could clearly sense whether someone had ulterior motives against him.

Ella's loyalty to him was unquestionable.

"Yes, sir."

Ella, visibly moved, accepted the document.

Meanwhile, Julian took out his phone and leisurely started scrolling through TikTok.

The women on the app were as captivating as ever.

With such great figures, it'd be a shame if they didn't push the boundaries a little.

"I ain't got K, I ain't got K, dinosaur resist wolf resist wolf—"

"What the hell is this supposed to be?"

Julian muttered under his breath and swiped past it.

"Like a seaweed, seaweed, seaweed drifting with the wind; seaweed, seaweed, seaweed dancing among the waves—"

The background music was fine, but the chubby figure twisting in a grass skirt was highly questionable.

Julian checked the account name: JuCeJi.

What kind of ridiculous username was that?

The video had already garnered over five million likes.

Julian looked at Celebi playing happily on the sofa with Jirachi. He never knew this little guy could dance—and with such flair, too.

Life wasn't easy; Celebi had to perform for a living.

Julian opened the comments section. Celebi's popularity was undeniable—the comments were nearing ten million, almost rivaling some A-list celebrities.

【Is this about earning money to support Champion Walker?】

【Clearly, it's about earning money to buy fried chicken legs.】

【Now that Champion Walker has another cute Pokémon by his side, Celebi must be feeling the pressure.】

【Look at that belly jiggling—those chicken legs definitely didn’t go to waste.】

【Is the account name an abbreviation for Julian, Celebi, and Jirachi?】

【Seaweed is expensive; where I'm from, it sells for 500 grams per stalk.】

As always, the comments section was where the real talent shone. Sometimes the video itself wasn’t that interesting, but the comments made it hilarious.

Clicking into the profile, Julian saw there was only one video. Clearly, it was a brand-new account.

"Celebi, why did you create a new account?"

"I made this for Jirachi," Celebi replied.

"Then why isn’t Jirachi in the video?"

If Jirachi had appeared, it would definitely have been even more popular.

After all, it was human nature to always crave something new.

Compared to Celebi, people were far more curious about Jirachi now, and in terms of appearance, Jirachi was miles ahead of Celebi.

Though, to be fair, a normally proportioned Celebi would actually look quite adorable.

But the problem was, Julian’s Celebi had already turned into a "Cele-pig." Cute was no longer a word that could be associated with it. With its greasy look and that bulging little belly, adorable? At this point, not calling it wretched was already being generous.

Compared to "Cele-pig," the adorable Jirachi had naturally become the new generation’s mascot of cuteness.

If Jirachi opened a TikTok account, its follower count would probably surpass Celebi’s in no time.

"Jirachi is shy and too embarrassed to appear. But it's fine—I'll step in!" Celebi crossed its arms, wearing a cool expression on its face.

Julian poked its chubby cheek, feeling a slight greasiness under his fingernail. He wiped his finger on the sofa with clear disgust.

"Didn't you use the facial cleanser I bought for you?"

"Do you even know what kind of facial cleanser you bought me?" Celebi fumed at the mention.

"Huh? I saw it was for Pokémon, so I bought it. Was it not effective?" Julian asked, puzzled.

"You bought the facial cleanser specially made for Steelix! Does Steelix even produce oil? How am I supposed to use that?!" Celebi huffed.

Julian: ⊙0⊙

Julian genuinely hadn't known that facial cleansers for Pokémon were so specifically tailored to individual species.

But honestly, did Steelix even need facial cleanser? That guy didn't produce any oil at all! A polishing paste would have been more useful than cleanser.

"I'll buy you a new one later. As for that cleanser, let’s just give it to Steelix," Julian said, trying to smooth things over.

Since it was already bought, it’d be a waste not to use it. Maybe it’d even make Steelix’s face shinier.
