Chapter 1540: The Very Last Fragment

The Original Nightmare Curse suddenly found himself turned into a flattened, pancake-like form, unable to return to normal. He stumbled around without balance, falling and rolling on the ground.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!"
This was the power of her Hammer, Egolatra, a strange ability that manifested by turning reality into a cartoon, imposing "funny" physics and trapping foes in bizarre forms, confusing them to no end.
It was the ultimate expression of Martina’s true personality, a prankster and a girl filled with determination to change her life and perhaps even the world in her own way.
An evolution of her Illusion Magic!
"Yeah, you like that, shithead?!"
"RAAAHHH!"
The pancake-shaped avatar roared, his aura surging from his body, forming dozens of giant ethereal soldiers that charged against Martina and Sofia. They struck from every angle with their spears and used their shields to push the girls down to the floor.
"Uuuggh!"
"Aaaagh!"
"DID YOU THINK YOU COULD JUST STOP ME EASILY?! I AM MUCH MORE THAN YOU COULD POSSIBLY IMAGINE! I AM A GOD!"
Both girls released their Dream Auras, holding hands while pushing the power of their Dream Weapons to their limits, roaring in unison.
"We don’t care!"
"God or whatever, you’re just a Nightmare!"
The girls roared, clashing against the Original Nightmare Curse’s ideals, defying him even when he showcased his godly power. This was what infuriated him most, how people denied him as their supreme ruler and even insulted him. He believed that his strength meant he could do and say whatever he pleased.
FLUOSH!
Sofia’s golden mechanical armor glowed, suddenly beginning to envelop Martina’s body. The power of her Mechanical Heart was shared, giving Martina the boost she needed to break through the swarm of ghostly soldiers.
"HYAAAH!"
She swung her hammer, destroying them completely with a thunderous blow. A shockwave of pink energy struck the Nightmare Curse, pushing him back. His body was beginning to slowly return to normal, but...
"Martina! Take my power!"
Sofia roared. Her mechanical armor suddenly shattered into pieces and then concentrated on Martina’s hammer, holding it together and reinforcing it, transforming her hammer into a gigantic holy hammer of gold and white steel.
"{Dream Weapon Fusion Technique}: {Heavenly Ban Hammer Of Justice}!"
Indeed, it was a Ban Hammer, with a big "BANNED" word on it made of red jewels! This hammer was not a simple one. It was imbued with Sofia’s indestructible sense of justice, her annoying righteous self that had made her a secretly hated moderator in various online communities, which she now infused into this power.
"W-WHAT?! WAIT...! WAIT A SECOND!"
The Original Nightmare Curse panicked as both girls held the hammer with all their strength. Their clothes were torn, their bodies covered in bruises and dried blood, their hair and makeup a mess, but they were not giving up, despite how much this affected them.
"GO...!"
The hammer rushed down, crushing his entire body once more with immense force! His Divine Ki overflowed, trying to push back as it formed thousands of ghostly hands. However, it was futile.
"FUCK...!"
The massive hammer continued crushing him. Its "BANNED" word glowed bright red, infusing the hammer with even more weight. The Original Nightmare Curse’s Avatar felt strange. His body was being restricted, his abilities... banned!
"YOURSELF!"
Both girls roared as loudly as they could, until their throats could barely take it. The hammer further crushed the monster, his screams reverberating everywhere.
"THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE...! NO...! NOT AGAIN...! NOT...! TO THESE VERMIN!"
RUMBLE!
However, to his agony, the hammer never stopped crushing him, flattening him more and more, shattering every piece of his body as it began to create a gigantic hole in the city. His entire form broke apart into countless pieces.
"GUUUAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"
Through the immense pressure, his Soul Fragment shattered into tiny pieces, generating an immense explosion of black nightmare flames.
BOOOMMM!!!
Both girls stood there in silence, completely in disbelief at what they had accomplished. They thought they were only going to buy time, but they went out of their way and...
Just fucking killed the guy!
"I can’t believe we beat him..." Martina sighed. "Haaa... I’m exhausted, not even a little bit of Dream Essence left... fuck..."
"Me neither..." Sofia sighed. Her armor disappeared as she and Martina dropped to the floor, exhausted.
They held hands, smiling lightly at one another, even as they were suddenly surrounded by hundreds of Nightmare Monsters, slowly crawling toward them to avenge their master...
"I can’t move... is this how we go?" Sofia wondered.
"No... I am sure they’ll be here for us," Martina said, closing her eyes.
The monsters drew closer, their sharp jaws about to bite and tear them to shreds...
"RAAAAARRRR!"
And yet, a draconic roar echoed as a giant black dragon descended. Her claws tore apart the monsters one by one, her breath pulverizing them by the dozens.
"Nyx?!" Sofia asked.
"It’s her... told you so," Martina said.
"You girls did it! But you’re too wounded. Come with me!" Nyx said as she quickly grabbed them and flew back to the other team.
Meanwhile, the moment Nyx left to check on the girls who had defeated one of the Avatars, the other group was rapidly beginning to overwhelm the dinosaur one.
However, as he was at his limits, tiny soul fragments from his destroyed Avatar flew toward him like shards of glass, merging into his body.
"This power...! Yes...! YES! HAHAHA!"
Although they killed the Avatar, the soul fragments remained, fusing into his last Avatar. His wounds rapidly regenerated as a shockwave of nightmare energy sent Arthur and Emily flying away, stopping them from harming him any longer.
His body grew to a ridiculous size, mimicking the Kaiju-type Nightmare Beasts within the Hollow Planet’s Core. His massive size of over three hundred meters was enough for his footsteps to make the entire city tremble.
"BURN TO ASHES, INSECTS!"
Everyone else watched in disbelief as his jaws opened, unleashing a devastating Atomic Nightmare Breath against them.
