Chapter 1474: Just Say It

Without realizing, we had spent over half an hour talking and eating with Alma...
I really needed to go fetch Emily and Sofia, and maybe Martina too!
But I ended up giving all my attention to my cute new girlfriend.
Well, I don’t really regret it.
As I cleaned the table and then got ready to depart with her, she hugged me again.
"Another hug for the trip! Grandma always say that it was good to hug those you love... So they can feel your warmth... And, um, feel loved..."
"Haha, your grandma is a lovely woman, Alma. I’ll love to meet her one day!"
"Really?! Then once we’re done here and vacations come, we could make a trip back home...!"
"You live I Switzerland, right?"
"Yep! Oh, I’m so happy you remembered!"
"Of course, how could I ever forget that? I’ve always dreamed about visiting that country. I’ve heard it’s beautiful."
"It is! W-We can go together, and... met grandma, and then I’ll show you the farm! And the chickens! And the piggies and the goats, and you’ll love it, I’m sure!"
Aw, she was so excited!
She’s so cute and precious.
"I would love to! Alright then, it’s decided. We’re making a trip there once we’re done saving the world, alright?"
"Yaaay! I love you!"
She hugged me cutely, jumping over my chest, as I ended holding her.
Then, she stole a few kisses from me.
"I love you too, Alma..."
"Nuh-huh! I love you more... eheheh..."
"Nope, I love you much more~"
"Nah, I love ya more!"
Alma was too lovely; she ended playing with me like that for another minute...
If it wasn’t for all the things we have to do now, I would definitely just spend the whole day with her.
On our way to find Sofia and Emily, and Martina too, Alma wouldn’t stop talking about her farm, her grandma, the village she came from, and the animals of her farm.
I ended up learning a lot more about her childhood and such, and it helped me understand her better too.
Knock, knock!
As we knocked the door of Sofia’s room, Alma wouldn’t stop holding my hand tightly...
Did she want to show we had a relationship with Sofia?
Well I didn’t really mind but...
Or maybe she wasn’t thinking about it that much.
"Sofia? Are you there? I came to pick you up with Alma..."
"Ah...! Maria? Yes, I’m almost ready... Come in."
Sofia opened the door smiling as she noticed Alma by my side.
"Good morning Alma, Maria. I... Hm?"
She quickly noticed us holding hands, however...
"You two... are holding hands? Why?"
"E-Eh?! Ah!"
Alma gasped, as she quickly separated her hand from my own.
"It’s... Uh, a bit complicated." I said with a bit of embarrassment.
"..." Sofia raised an eyebrow.
"W-Wait, Maria, is it fine to tell her?" Alma panicked.
So she was indeed not even thinking about it, huh?
This girl...
Well, it’s already too late, and there’s no point in hiding it.
"What’s going on?" Sofia asked, looking concerned.
I looked back at Alma, who was dying of embarrassment...
But might as well just say it, right?
As I held her hand again, Sofia looked back at us.
"W-We... Um..." Alma muttered, very shyly. "W-We started something? Together... L-Like..."
"We’re girlfriends," I said.
"...?!"
Sofia remained in silence right there, but her eyes widened a lot in that split second.
She raised an eyebrow in disbelief as well.
"M-Maria! Did you have to say it like that? I-It’s embarrassing..."
"Well, I am not embarrassed of my love for you, Alma..."
"Geez..."
As Alma blushed cutely, I used this opportunity to give her a few kisses.
"E-Eh...?"
Sofia was still processing it, looking at the two of us kissing.
I guess she never could have imagined this...
"EEEEEH?!"
Yep, there it is, finally, her shock was here.
"T-This is crazy! I never thought...! What the hell..." Sofia muttered.
"I-I’m sorry Sofia... But I had a crush on Maria for a while and... w-when I accidentally confessed she also said she loved me back! C-Can you believe it?! A-And then one thing came after another..." Alma was desperately trying to explain things, but she stuttered all the time.
"I didn’t know you were into girls, Alma, you usually just never open up at all..." Sofia muttered. "I... uh, don’t know really how to react to this... A-Ah... But I am...! Even more surprised of you! Maria, aren’t you in a relationship with Jonathan?! Are you cheating on him with Alma? Y-you’re really the worst!"
As she said this, she was constantly blushing. Honestly, I can’t really understand what she’s even feeling right now.
"W-We talked about that..." Alma said. "M-Maria is in an open relationship with him, so she said it was fine... J-Jonathan won’t mind, according to her..."
"W-What...?!" Sofia gasped. "Is Jonathan that open minded?! Wait, Maria! I had no idea you were into girls too... Wow, one revelation after another...! For goodness’ sake!"
She was blushing a lot while talking, perhaps embarrassed to learn about these things too.
"Sorry... I know it’s shocking," I nodded. "I thought I had to say it so we wouldn’t create further suspicions or something."
"A-Aah... I guess... I guess that makes sense..." Sofia sighed, looking slightly sad for some reason. "I’m... I’m happy for you two..."
"Thank you Sof!" Alma smiled cutely. "I’m so happy too! Heheh!"
As Alma hugged me again, Sofia quickly nodded, getting ready.
"Alright, I’m ready... Can you two stop being so lovey-dovey though?! I-It’s a bit intoxicating..." Groaned Sofia, acting all grumpy.
"A-Ah! Sorry...!" Alma quickly walked away from me, getting as red as a tomato.
Cute...
"Yeah, sorry, we’ll try to not be weird about it..." I nodded. "Alright, so how do you feel today though?"
"I’m fine..." Sofia said. "I’ve been thinking about a lot of things lately. Also my Spirit’s evolution has been a bit of a mystery, I’m still trying to process everything."
"I see... Makes sense, well, you don’t really need to come if you don’t want to, we’ve reached the second layer of the hollow earth labyrinth already and..." As I explained to them two what had happened, they continued gasping with surprise.
