Watching the Bizarre that had become so ethereal it was nearly invisible, the faces of the group, which had been relaxed, gradually grew solemn.
Under such an attack, the Evil Spirit had still not perished, shocking these Exorcists who were encountering an Evil Spirit for the first time.
"Damn it, Samor, how many times has it been?"
"Uh... maybe the sixth... seventh?" Samor shook his head. He wasn't in the mood to record such trivial matters. Solving the Bizarre in front of him was all that mattered.
Finally, with another pillar of light descending, the Bizarre in the crater reached its limit of endurance.
With a loud BOOM, the Bizarre at the bottom of the pit finally burst apart, turning into a sky full of ashes.
"Fuck, it's finally dealt with!"
Seeing that the Bizarre had vanished, Touk and the others, whose expressions had been tense, finally heaved a sigh of relief, and the seriousness in their eyes quietly dissipated.
"'Eye of the Sky No. 2' should be improved a bit more, I feel like some of the Strength was dispersed!" Samor shrugged as he stowed away the sphere in his hands.
"You can bring it up with Manager Taran when you get back. She'll definitely want us to provide some feedback for improvements!"
Touk patted Samor on the shoulder and slowly walked toward the ruins of the villa.
"Some of you, lend a hand, our commission isn't completed yet!"
"Oh~ I hate digging..."
The Exorcists, who hadn't expended much energy, followed Touk's lead to continue their unfinished task.
A little over ten minutes later, Touk and the others looked at the revealed pitch-black hole in the ground and jumped down without hesitation.
The basement of this villa had clearly undergone special modifications. While the main body of the villa above had turned to ruins, the basement below seemed to have been barely affected.
With the Bizarre's disappearance, the black mist that had enveloped the inside of the basement was now gone without a trace, leaving only a charred piece of flesh and blood residue on the dusty floor.
Standing in front of the metal door, Touk suddenly paused, then with a somewhat puzzled look turned back to the people behind him.
"Everyone, does anyone remember the passcode Mr. George mentioned?"
"Uh..."
They looked at each other, all shaking their heads in confusion.
"Was there really a passcode?"
"You guys are really..." Samor, who had caught up from behind, couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth at the sight of the several bewildered figures.
Walking past everyone, he stood in front of the metal door and cleared his throat.
"Los, open up!"
"..."
Some time passed, and the metal door in front of them remained motionless, causing Touk and the others to look towards Samor with eyes full of doubt.
Samor waved his hand, signaling everyone to be patient.
After mentally counting to one hundred, he spoke again.
"Praise God! Praise Heaven! Praise Wealth!"
As this voice sounded, the keen senses of the group finally detected the faint movements of someone inside the metal door.
CLICK... CLICK...
After a succession of mechanical sounds, the tightly sealed alloy door finally began to slowly open.
A timid-looking blond boy instantly appeared before everyone's eyes.
And from the opened door, everyone finally got a clear view of the distinctive room.
The alloy-made walls were inscribed with various Runes, and the six walls combined to form a massive Array.
There were also several basketball-sized crystals embedded in the center of some of the walls, seemingly the nodes of the Array.
The room was fully equipped for living, along with countless Exorcism Items such as crosses and saint medallions arranged on the table at the center of the room...
"Fuck, I can only say that it's great to be rich!" An envious and grudging voice emerged from the crowd, setting off a burst of laughter among the others.
"OK! Task completed!" Samor, carrying the little boy, smiled and shook his head, then turned and headed towards the outside.
When the group reached the ground, they looked at each other as they saw a convoy of cars rapidly approaching not far away.
"Alright, it looks like we won't need to carry him back!"
As they waited for the convoy to arrive, Bayue suddenly twitched his nostrils.
"Everyone, do you smell something strange?"
His question caused everyone to pause and sniff the air carefully.
"I don't smell anything! Bayue, are you pulling some kind of trick again?"
"No! It seems there's a slight..."
"Right, this smell seems a bit familiar!"
"..."
As they were carefully trying to identify the source of the smell, a surprised voice suddenly exclaimed.
"It's sulfur! The smell of sulfur!"
At those words, everyone's faces turned pale and their expressions changed drastically.
"Quick, get this child away immediately!"
"Damn it, what the hell is going on? Did our wealthy client actually offend a Demon God from Hell?"
Samor, holding the blond boy, immediately ran towards the direction of the convoy, his heart filled with urgency as the smell of sulfur became stronger.
Looking at the boy in his arms, he was filled with confusion.
How was it that not only had a Bizarre attack occurred, but now a creature from Hell had also been drawn here? What on earth was the situation with this child?
Finding it hard to believe, and as if struck by a thought, Samor slowly channeled his Spiritual Power into the boy in his arms.
"Fuck!"
The Spiritual Power had barely made a round inside the child's body when Samor cursed out loud.
That damned rich man had actually concealed the child's condition!
As he looked at the rapidly approaching convoy, his eyes blazed with anger.
SCREECH!
With a piercing sound of brakes, George Mancini, holding a necklace, got out of the car and rushed towards Samor.
"Mr. Mancini, you actually hid your child's medical condition!"
George looked startled by Samor's accusatory tone, but his face quickly darkened.
Without changing his expression, he put the necklace he had just retrieved on his son and then handed the boy to the butler at his side.
Once the blond boy was taken to the car by the middle-aged man, George Mancini straightened his clothes and squeezed out a smile.
"I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you're talking about. My son is perfectly normal and there's nothing special about him!"
Watching the man before him, clearly unwilling to admit anything, Samor let out a scoff.
"Alright! If that's the case, then you just wait for our firm's specialist to come and have a chat with you! I hope then you can still be as composed as you are now!"
After leaving those words behind, Samor turned and left, knowing that others would take care of the matter.
Hearing Samor's words, the composure on George's face finally crumbled, his fingers trembled and a flicker of unease passed through his eyes.
Watching the retreating figure of Samor, he hesitated for a moment but ultimately kept his words to himself, his face angry as he walked towards the car.
"Damn it!"
