Xuan Yuan had not expected that a moment of carelessness on his part would not only lead to the loss of his four virtuous wives and mothers but also almost alienate him from his own children.
On Kunlun Mountain, Taishang, upon learning that the human race had abolished tribal structures, suddenly sent a telepathic message to Xuandu, who was in the midst of his cultivation:
“Xuandu, come see me at once!”
Upon hearing Taishang’s summons, the Grand Master Xuandu dared not delay and immediately entered Taiqing Palace to face Taishang.

“Master, from what you say, do I have another junior brother and two junior sisters out there?”
Taishang nodded, looking at Xuandu. “Yes, why? What’s wrong?”

Having spoken, Xuandu hurried out of Taiqing Palace and headed straight for Bai Yao in the medicinal fields.
Upon finding Bai Yao, Xuandu saw him being accosted by Jin Jiao and Yin Jiao. Seeing this, Xuandu quickly made the three stop and then addressed them:
“Little junior brother, remember that what I give you must not be known by anyone, understand? Jin Jiao and Yin Jiao, you too, must not tell anyone!”
Jin Jiao, Yin Jiao, and Bai Yao looked at Xuandu with confusion. “Young Master (Eldest Senior Brother), why is this so?”
Xuandu’s face creased with hardship. “Just now, Master told me he has three more disciples outside, and my two junior sisters will be returning soon. If they find out I gave you a spiritual treasure, they will demand one from me too. If they ask for a Primordial Grade spiritual treasure, I couldn’t refine two such treasures even if I dismantled my own bones. Remember, you absolutely must not tell anyone!”
With that, Xuandu departed Kunlun and headed directly for the human sacred land, Fire Cloud Cave.

“Your Majesties, may I know who this is?”
Just as Fuxi and Shennong were about to introduce him, Xuandu spoke himself.
“This humble one is Xuandu!”
Upon hearing the name Xuandu, Xuan Yuan felt a sense of familiarity, though he could not recall it immediately.
Seeing this, Xuandu had to add:
“Grand Master Xuandu, disciple of Taishang, your Eldest Senior Brother!”
Hearing this, Xuan Yuan was immediately enlightened. The name Xuandu had been mentioned to him during the time Taishang was teaching him, but so much time had passed that upon hearing the name Xuandu, he only felt familiarity without recalling where he had heard it.
Xuan Yuan immediately bowed to Xuandu: “Greetings, Eldest Senior Brother!”
