Within the Thirty-Three Heavens, in the Demon Court, Bai Ze was diligently handling the myriad affairs of the demon race when Bi Fang and Ji Meng suddenly appeared before him.
Without lifting his head, Bai Ze spoke, “You two are not busy subjugating those races, why do you have time to come see me?”
Ji Meng chuckled, “Aren’t we just afraid our esteemed Bai Ze would overwork himself, so we came to check on you!”
Bai Ze ignored Ji Meng’s teasing and turned to Bi Fang, asking, “What is it?”
Bi Fang replied, “We discovered two great powerful beings of the demon race in Ziyang Mountain near Mount Buzhou, so we have come to discuss with you what we should do?”
Upon hearing this, Bai Ze immediately put down his work and looked up, asking, “Great powerful beings?”
Bi Fang nodded, “Great powerful beings, one male and one female, seemingly a brother and sister. The elder brother is named Fu Xi, and the younger sister is named Nu Wa. We are unsure of how to proceed, so we have come to consult you.”
Bai Ze understood that if Bi Fang referred to them as great powerful beings, their strength must surely surpass his own.
After listening to Bi Fang’s explanation, Bai Ze said, “It would be best if these individuals could be brought into our Demon Court. If they are unwilling, we should still strive to maintain a good relationship with them. This would greatly benefit our Demon Court!”
Seeing that Bai Ze was no longer teasing and had turned to serious matters, Ji Meng ceased his jesting and said, “Bi Fang and I thought the same. However, it might not be appropriate for just us to approach such individuals, so we were thinking of asking the two Demon Emperors to come out of seclusion! What do you think?”
Bai Ze frowned and shook his head, “That is not advisable. The two Demon Emperors must have entered seclusion for their cultivation to advance. We should not disturb them suddenly! Lest we disrupt their significant cultivation endeavors!”
Upon hearing this, Bi Fang sighed, “While that may be true, if we approach such great beings, they might feel we are looking down on them, and it could lead to unnecessary misunderstandings!”
Bai Ze nodded in agreement, “Bi Fang speaks wisely. It is indeed not enough for just us to go. However, what if all twelve of us Demon Generals were to go together?”
Ji Meng’s eyes lit up, and he exclaimed, “If all twelve of us Demon Generals go together, it would certainly show more sincerity than if just us two went! However, the Demon Court has just been established, and with countless matters pending, everyone is busy. Can we ask everyone to set aside their tasks to invite them?”
Bi Fang nodded and turned his gaze to Bai Ze. As the strategist of the Demon Court, Bai Ze was also entrusted with handling all its affairs when Demon Emperor Di Jun was in seclusion.
Seeing both Bi Fang and Ji Meng looking at him, Bai Ze knew he had to make the final decision. The Demon Emperor had appointed him to manage the Demon Court’s affairs during his seclusion, and now it was a test of his capabilities.
If he decided to send the twelve Demon Generals to Ziyang Mountain to recruit those two elders, and anything went wrong, he would bear the full responsibility when the Demon Emperors emerged.
However, if he succeeded in bringing those two great beings into the Demon Court, it would be a significant accomplishment for him.
After deep consideration, Bai Ze looked up and declared, “Let the other Demon Generals assemble at the Demon Court. This is an opportunity to strengthen our Demon Court’s high-level forces, and we cannot miss it!”
With that, Bai Ze immediately dispatched a messenger soldier outside to summon the other Demon Generals.
Bi Fang and Ji Meng exchanged glances, understanding Bai Ze’s decision, and immediately said, “We will personally go and fetch them! The speed of these junior demons is too slow, it wastes time!”
Bai Ze, knowing their point was valid, replied, “Very well, then I shall trouble the two of you for your efforts!”
As Bai Ze finished speaking, Bi Fang and Ji Meng immediately departed. The moment they left the great hall, they employed their divine abilities and headed towards the east and west respectively!
After Bi Fang and Ji Meng departed, Bai Ze remained alone in the great hall, stroking his chin, lost in thought, murmuring, “Fu Xi! Nu Wa!”
Bi Fang, after leaving the great hall of the Demon Court, headed eastward towards the location of Gui Che.
Gui Che was leading the demon soldiers of the Demon Court in an assault on the Nine-Tailed Fox clan. Just as the Nine-Tailed Fox clan was in a state of retreat and about to be conquered, Gui Che suddenly sensed Bi Fang’s presence, a look of confusion on his face, “Bi Fang! What is he doing here?”
Indeed, shortly after Gui Che sensed Bi Fang’s presence, Bi Fang arrived by his side.
Without stopping, Bi Fang spoke as soon as he arrived, “Gui Che, return to the Demon Court’s great hall immediately. There is an urgent matter to discuss!”
Seeing Bi Fang about to leave, Gui Che quickly asked, “Bi Fang, what’s the rush? Can’t you see I’m about to subdue the Nine-Tailed Fox clan?”
Bi Fang, already moving away, replied, “Temporarily abandon the pursuit. This matter is more important than conquering other demon tribes!”
Hearing this, Gui Che reluctantly ordered his troops to retreat and return to the Demon Court for discussion.
The Nine-Tailed Fox clan, seeing Gui Che withdraw his forces, let out a collective sigh of relief. If the battle had continued, their clan would have been decimated.
This scene was repeated in other locations. Nine-Infant, Chongming Bird, Kai Ming Beast, and other Demon Generals were in the midst of subjugating various demon races when Ji Meng and Bi Fang suddenly appeared, summoning them back to the Demon Court for a meeting.
Although the Demon Generals were reluctant, upon seeing that it was Ji Meng and Bi Fang, fellow members of the Twelve Demon Generals, delivering the message, they knew it must be an important matter and all returned to the Demon Court.
In the Demon Court, the Twelve Demon Generals were gathered. Currently, only Bai Ze, Bi Fang, and Ji Meng knew the reason for the summons. The other Demon Generals were still unaware of why they had been called back.
Seeing that everyone had arrived, Nine-Infant immediately asked, “Bai Ze, you had Bi Fang and Ji Meng summon us back. What is the matter? Don’t you know we were in the process of subjugating the other demon races?”
Bai Ze, aware that the other Demon Generals might be displeased about being called back, spoke promptly, “The reason for summoning everyone here is primarily because two great powerful beings of the demon race have been discovered in Ziyang Mountain, and we intend to recruit them into our Demon Court. However, the weight of just Bi Fang, Ji Meng, and myself is insufficient. As the two Demon Emperors are in seclusion, we have therefore summoned all of you. The intention is for all twelve of us Demon Generals to go to Ziyang Mountain together.”
Upon hearing this, the Demon Generals understood that if they could successfully recruit these two powerful beings into the Demon Court, it was indeed a significant undertaking.
Kai Ming Beast then said, “Since they are two great powerful beings, it is indeed only fitting for all twelve of us Demon Generals to go together. In that case, I, Kai Ming Beast, have no objections!”
“I, Gui Che, have no objections!”
“I, Chongming Bird, have no objections!”
“I, Shang Yang, have no objections!”
“I, Nine-Infant, have no objections!”
“I, Lu Wu, have no objections!”
Seeing that no one had any objections, Bai Ze stated, “Since everyone has no objections, let us prepare ourselves and head to Ziyang Mountain together!”
