Humanity was still in a primitive state, already knowing how to borrow natural caves to shelter from the harsh weather. It was time for him to give them a push, to bring Youchao Shi into existence sooner.
After a moment of contemplation, Taishang transmitted his voice to Fuxi and Hongyun on Sanqing Peak, saying:
"My Lords, please come to Yuqing Peak. I have an important matter to discuss!"
Fuxi and Hongyun heard this with confusion. Taiyi had said that Saint Taishang and Saint Yuanshi were in seclusion, practicing profound arts. They had no idea why the Heavenly Master Taishang was summoning them.
However, since Taishang had invited them, they dared not delay. They headed straight for Yuqing Peak.
Taiyi, at the foot of Yuqing Peak, saw their arrival and frowned. Yuqing Peak was sealed. He wondered why Fuxi and Hongyun were here.
Fuxi and Hongyun arrived before Taiyi and said:
"Eastern Emperor (Fellow Daoist), Heavenly Master Taishang sent for us!"
Hearing this, Taiyi was about to ask Taishang for instructions when Taishang's voice echoed in his ear:
"Taiyi, let them come up!"
Taiyi nodded and then allowed them to ascend Yuqing Peak.
After Fuxi and Hongyun entered Yuqing Peak, they sensed that Yuanshi was only at the peak of the Great Golden Immortal realm, which puzzled them.
Taishang saw their confused expressions and explained:
"My Lords, to be frank, my second brother is no longer a Saint!"
Fuxi and Hongyun were greatly shocked and exclaimed:
"How is this possible? What has happened to the Heavenly Master Yuqing?"
Taishang said:
"My second brother has encountered some issues, which is why he temporarily fell from the Saint realm. However, he will recover soon!"
Taishang told them a lie, not revealing the full truth.
Yuanshi had merely abandoned the great Dao he had cultivated before and chosen a new one to cultivate anew. Yuanshi had already fallen from Sainthood, so his comprehension of the great Dao remained. Even though he was cultivating a new great Dao, Taishang had confidence in Yuanshi, believing that his return to the Saint realm was only a matter of time.
Fuxi and Hongyun nodded. In their eyes, no one would willingly abandon the noble status of a Saint.
They looked at Taishang and asked:
"May we know why Heavenly Master Taishang has summoned us?"
Taishang said:
"Humanity is currently weak. I wish for you both to enlighten humanity, thereby accumulating merit and achieving Sainthood!"
As Taishang finished speaking, Fuxi and Hongyun looked at him nervously. From Taishang's words, it seemed he had a way for them to quickly accumulate merit.
Ever since Zhen Yuanzi had become a Saint, they had felt a sense of urgency. Now, all those with the Primordial Violet Qi, except for the two of them, had become Saints. They couldn't help but feel anxious.
Although they had been accumulating merit, the amount required for Sainthood was too vast, and their accumulated merit was far from enough.
Taishang saw their nervous expressions and believed they would not refuse his proposal, as it was beneficial to both them and humanity.
Taishang said:
"Fellow Daoist Fuxi, I wish for you to send a clone into reincarnation to enlighten humanity. However, once your clone enters reincarnation, it will develop its own consciousness and will no longer be your clone. You will then have no choice but to pursue Sainthood through merit. What do you say?"
Fuxi pondered for a moment. Although he possessed the Primordial Violet Qi, he had made contingency plans. He was accumulating merit and also attempting to sever his three corpses.
Fuxi said:
"Heavenly Master, humanity was created by my sister. I am, after all, their uncle. Even if I cannot become a Saint, if I can help humanity grow stronger and prevent them from being oppressed by other races, I am willing to give my all!"
Taishang nodded with satisfaction, thinking that Fuxi truly lived up to his title as the Heavenly Emperor of humanity, with such broad vision.
Taishang nodded and said:
"This is excellent. On behalf of humanity, I thank you, Fellow Daoist! By enlightening humanity, you will also gain considerable merit from the Heavenly Dao, which will surely lead you to Sainthood!"
Fuxi, though he wished to become a Saint, was more willing to see humanity prosper than to achieve Sainthood himself.
Since his birth, Fuxi had observed all things in the universe, most of which were belligerent and unreceptive to guidance. Only the humans created by Nuwa were gentle and could live together harmoniously.
Taishang nodded and looked at Fuxi, saying:
"Your righteousness makes you worthy of being the Heavenly Emperor of humanity! However, though I am the Holy Father of humanity, this matter is of great importance. Humanity was created by Fellow Daoist Nuwa, and we must discuss it with her first."
Fuxi said:
"Heavenly Master, please rest assured. I will go to Wa Huang Palace immediately and I am confident I can persuade my sister!"
Taishang nodded and said:
"This is very good. Third Brother, you shall accompany Fuxi to Wa Huang Palace to meet Fellow Daoist Nuwa."
Tongtian nodded and said:
"Big Brother, please rest assured, I will go to Wa Huang Palace with Fuxi immediately."
After speaking, Tongtian left Kunlun with Fuxi and headed towards Nuwa's Wa Huang Palace.
After Fuxi and Tongtian departed, Taishang turned his gaze to Hongyun and said:
"Hongyun, your disposition is kind. I intend for you to guide humanity, thereby accumulating merit. Coupled with the merit you have accumulated thus far, it should be enough for you to achieve Sainthood!"
Hongyun looked puzzled and asked:
"Heavenly Master Taishang, but I have had little contact with humanity, and I am unsure if I am capable of such a great task."
Taishang laughed and said:
"Rest assured, if I intend for you to guide humanity, I will naturally not abandon you! However, the time is not yet right. You may prepare yourself in advance."
Hongyun nodded and asked:
"May I ask, Heavenly Master, in which aspect do you intend for me to guide humanity?"
Taishang looked at Hongyun with a smile and said:
"Given your nature, what do you think humanity should be taught?"
Hongyun pondered for a moment and then said:
"Although humanity was created by Saint Nuwa, their bodies are too weak, and they suffer from many illnesses. Many humans perish because of this. I believe I should teach humanity about healing."
Taishang laughed heartily and said:
"Fellow Daoist, you have truly discerning eyes. However, human illnesses are easily resolved by us. For humanity, this is a significant challenge. You must consider this carefully."
Hongyun, knowing that his line of thought was correct, said:
"Heavenly Master, please rest assured, Hongyun will not disappoint."
Taishang nodded and said:
"The Primordial Great Desolation is vast and boundless, containing many things that would be of great use to humanity. You may roam the Great Desolation, and you will surely gain much."
Hongyun nodded and then bid farewell to Taishang, intending to travel around to various places so as not to let down Taishang's guidance.
After Hongyun left, Taishang looked in the direction of Shouyang Mountain, a smile on his lips, as if he could already see the flourishing of humanity.
