Chapter 206: Why are you here?
The sun had barely cleared the horizon when Liam opened his eyes. Unlike most mornings, there was no grogginess.
Last night, he had some fun with Vanessa teasing some fine cocktails, and enjoying the pool. Later, he visited Harper and Alice, but they were too tired for sex. Because of that he slept way more then he was used to.
He rose with quiet determination and pulled on his best clothes: a finely pressed navy suit, a crisp white shirt, and a tie in a shade of burgundy that added just enough flair.
He adjusted his cufflinks carefully, admiring how the silver gleamed in the morning light. He wasn’t one to fuss over his appearance, but today was different, he needed to be ready for a war.
The meeting Leo had invited Vanessa to was at 11 o’clock, and when it came, he’d make sure to wipe that smug smile right off Leo’s face, replacing it with a look of pure frustration.
When he stepped out of his room, Harper was already waiting in the hallway. She beamed the moment she saw him, her golden hair catching the sunlight. Alice appeared a second later, her usual calm expression softening into a smile.
"You look amazing, Liam," Harper said warmly.
"Like a man ready to conquer the world," Alice added with her dry wit, then she took a picture. "It’s the first time I see you all dress up like that."
A slow, confident chuckle escaped Liam’s lips, "Both of you are also stunning."
His eyes dared on the cute dresses they were wearing.
His eyes traveled from the elegant line of Harper’s neck, down to the daring dip of her cleavage, displaying her huge tits for his pleasure. The dress was tight, hugging her narrow waist and flared over her hips.
Then his attention shifted to Alice, lingering on the body-hugging silk that left nothing of her slender, toned figure to the imagination.
He stopped closer to Harper, his left hand resting on her narrow waist and pushing her closer, pressing her body against hers.
"Yhe dress really asserts your curves," Davi whispered in the blond’s ears.
His hand slid lower, his fingers splaying to cup the curve of her hip, pulling her firmly against his side.
At the same moment, his right hand found Alice, his palm settled on the swell of her rear, a bold and unmistakable claim.
He dipped his head first to Harper, whose breath hitched in anticipation. He captured her mouth with a deep kiss.
While she melted into the lovely kiss, Liam’s craved his hand on her large ass, which caused envy at everyone that had the luck to see the scene.
Before Harper could even process the end of the kiss, Liam turned his attention to Alice. She grab her ass, forcing her body against his, kissing her passionately.
The effect on the room was immediate. A conversation at a nearby table stuttered to a halt. A woman across the room raised her eyebrows, whispering behind her hand to her companion.
A few men watched with blatant envy, their eyes flicking between the two blushing women held securely in Liam’s embrace. But Liam’s dominant gaze was enough to intimidate all men, forcing them to look away.
"Please, don’t make me this horny so early," Harper murmured.
"You are too much..." Alice let out a soft whisper that sounded like a moan.
Together, the three went downstairs where breakfast had been laid out. The smell of fresh bread, warm butter, and spiced tea filled the air.
Harper insisted on piling his plate with food, while Alice was happily recounting how good the massage was.
The atmosphere was light, filled with some sexual jokes, but mostly just fun. It was too early in the morning for anything more than that.
When it was time, he kissed both girls again, but this time he was less aggressive with the grouping. Then he went to meet with Vanessa, who was elegantly dressed.
"Oh! I think this is the first time I will not need to fix your tie. You really look good."
"Thanks," he smiled softly. "You look good as always." He said admiring the woman that was wearing an elegant suit.
"Fleatering will not lead you anywhere, boy," she said with an affectionate smile.
Vanessa’s affectionate smile lingered for a moment, but then she adjusted her blazer, her expression shifting back into sharp professionalism. "Let’s go. We can’t keep them waiting."
They walked through the halls and Vanessa walked at his side, a quiet aura of authority radiating from her.
When they entered the meeting room, Leo was already there, but his parents were not, the man decided it would be best not having anyone in the way.
He leaned casually against the table, arms crossed, his mouth curved into an arrogant smile that oozed self-satisfaction.
"Well, well," Leo said smoothly, his eyes flicking briefly toward his sister before landing on Liam. "I was just telling Father... perhaps it’s time we make this interesting."
Vanessa’s eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?" She was not afraid of her brother anymore, Liam at her side gave her confidence.
Leo straightened, his smug grin widening. "Simple. Each of us presents our own proposal to the client. Let’s turn this into a wager. Whoever secures the contract... will be named heir to the family business."
The air in the room seemed to tighten at his words. Vanessa’s lips parted, but she didn’t even have the chance to protest before Liam stepped forward.
"I accept."
His voice was steady, confident, carrying no hesitation. He walked right up to Leo, his hand extended.
For a moment, Leo only stared at him, as though savoring the scene. Then he clasped Liam’s hand firmly, pulling him slightly closer.
"You’ve got guts," Leo whispered, his tone laced with venom. "That will make it all more fun when I destroy you."
Leo rarely showed his true colors, but seeing how resolute and confident Liam was, he couldn’t resist the desire to mock him.
The thing he loved the most, was to torture and destroy people that would fight back, and Liam looked like someone who would fight up to his least breath.
And then the door opened.
The sharp click of high heels echoed as a striking woman entered the room, her expensive jewelry catching the light. Her bodyguard, a towering wall of flesh and muscle, followed a step behind.
"Forgive my lateness," Lee Hua said, her tone cold and imperious. She moved with such authority that it felt as though the room itself shifted to accommodate her.
Liam froze for a moment, surprise flickering in his eyes. He had not expected her.
On the other hand, Lee Hua blushed, her usually cold expression melted for an instant, and her heart raced. She was not ready to meet with Liam right now.
