Chapter 219: Ambush...

Chapter 219: 219: Ambush...

It had been over an hour since Elvis and Eden had been on the horse, moving through the woods.

"Are you sure you didn’t come with anyone? No guards?"

Elvis said nothing.

Eden had his hands over his stomach. "Because I’m hungry. I need something to eat."

"You’ll get something when we get to the neighbouring village," Elvis said. "We’re almost there."

"But I want one now," Eden turned to him.

Elvis sighed. He stopped the horse and then got down from it.

Eden watched him head to the nearest tree with his words. He was about to pluck some fruit from it as Eden smiled.

"He’s actually a darling."

Just as he sat there on the horse, watching Elvis get some fruit, an arrow was suddenly shot from within the woods.

The arrow flew towards where Eden sat on the horse. And as it approached him, Elvis instantly turned.

He released his sword from his grip as his sword flew towards the arrow and sliced it into two.

Alert, Eden turned to see a man in black jumping out from the bush. He had his sword with him in attack. And as he drew closer to Eden in a flash, he pulled out his sword to strike but Elvis quickly intervened.

Even without his sword, Elvis kicked the man by the neck and pulled his sword from his hands. The man flew backwards and landed on his feet.

Elvis held onto the man’s sword as he turned and stared at the man in black who now got out another sword.

The man had his face covered in a black piece of cloth so that only his eyes could be seen.

Elvis could easily tell that he was an assassin hired by his father to kill Elvis. And he had actually seen this coming.

The man in black didn’t hesitate. He attacked with his sword and was engaged with Elvis in a duel. Their swords clashed and moved rhythmically and they struggled to take the other down.

Eden could only sit there watching him. He hated that he had run out of powers else he would have helped.

"Lenny. Is there anything we can do?" Eden asked.

"He’s already taking care of it. Trust him. We’ll only help when it’s needed," Lenny replied.

The man in black had skillfully pulled a move. He moved his legs and confused Elvis. And soon landed his feet on Elvis’s chest.

Elvis flew backwards and fell on his back. Blood over his lips now as he coughed, struggling to get up on his feet.

He still haven’t recovered fully from the last time. So he wasn’t too well to fight with someone as skilled as this masked man.

And Eden noticed. "I don’t think he can make it."

The man in mask didn’t look in Elvis ways now. He turned to Eden as he threw a pin towards him.

Eden dodged and jumped out of the horse. He couldn’t go far as the man in black went after him.

The man struck his sword in his direction and Eden instantly turned, his hands stretching towards the man who was behind him. And immediately a white snake crawled from his hands and circled his sword.

The snake crawled onto the sword as the man in black pulled backwards. Alert, the man struggled to shake the snake off. But the snake crawled up in his hand.

He began shaking. Shaking his body to get the snake off. But before he could finish, Eden ran up to him and kicked him by the chest.

He fell down on his back as Eden stepped on him by the neck. Brutally stepping on his neck. "Aren’t you scared of the wizard of EL or what..."

Before he could finish his question, the man in black had suddenly pulled him by the feet and dragged him down.

Eden fell down on his face and the man instantly got up, the snake now on the ground, he pulled out his sword to attack Eden.

But suddenly someone smashed a wood over his head from behind. A huge tall wood. And he stiffened and soon fell down to his face - instantly unconscious.

With the man down, Lysander stared at his back. He held the wood in his hands as he looked at Eden who now slowly looked up at him.

Eden smiled. He couldn’t believe Lysander actually came out of nowhere to his rescue, when he least expected.

It wasn’t in his prayers for salvation but at least he’d do with that.

And he also couldn’t believe how much he had actually missed his adorable "boyfriend."

Lysander dropped the wood and instantly went on his knees before Eden. He was worried as he took Eden’s hands and stared at the bruises on them. "Are you okay? What happened to you...? Why are you hurt...? Are you okay...?"

He looked extremely worried as he stared at the bruises in Eden’s hands and blew it with some air.

Eden stared at his worried expression and smiled. "You don’t have to be dramatic, I’m completely fine. It’s just some bruises. Besides, I’m not a kid anymore." He smiled.

But Lysander wasn’t having it. He kept blowing his hands. "Does it just?"

"Don’t worry. I’m fine," Eden assured him.

"No you’re not," Lysander said. "It’s my fault. I let you off and didn’t take care of you. And you went missing.. and now you’re hurt because of me..."

He seemed sad and Eden blinked. "Well... it’s not your fault.. don’t blame yourself..."

"It is," Lysander said, now staring at Eden. "It’s because of me that you got hurt. You’re my lover.. and I should have taken better care of you.. but I didn’t. And now you’re hurt. I’m a bad lover.."

"..." Eden blinked.

"I’m sorry..." Lysander said.

Eden brought his hands to Lysander’s cheeks and patted it. He smiled. "You don’t have to worry about me at all. Really. I’m fine." He assured him again, even though he knew he would still be sulky about it.
