Chapter 158: 158: A warm bath
The bath was prepared for Eden at the guest house set out for him.
Leo and Damien led him to the room where the bath was ready.
"You can enjoy it here. When you’re done, you can come out and have the meal prepared. I’ll be waiting," Leo informed.
"Is that so?" Eden had his eyes on the vintage-looking bathroom—one that looked like a classic antique itself.
Classy and clean. And in the middle was a huge bathtub filled up with water.
Eden walked in and ran his fingers through the water. It was warm and soothing; the petals placed into the water had a fragrant scent that tingled his nostrils.
"This is good. Good job," he smiled, turning to look at Leo and Damien, who were at the entrance.
"If there’s nothing, then we’ll be taking our leave." Leo was about to leave when Eden said,
"And..."
Leo and Damien stopped and turned.
"I want chicken for dinner."
"Huh?" Damien raised an eyebrow.
"I want to eat chicken. So prepare it for me," he smiled.
"And why would we do that for it?" Damien was speechless.
"Because I want it."
"Who do you think you are to order the lord around? Do you think you can demand what you want? The nerves!" Damien snapped.
"What? I’m just feeling at home here. Right? My lord?" Eden smiled at Leo.
Leo had his cold expression on, both hands behind him as he glared at Eden.
"Right? You’re going to make some for me, right?" He smiled.
"Shut up now! Do you think you can order—"
"Get it prepared for him," Leo interrupted him.
"..." Damien blinked, shocked.
"My lord? Do you mean...?"
"He wants to eat some meat, doesn’t he? So let him have it." Leo still had his cold expression on while he spoke.
Eden smiled. "That’s more like it. Can’t wait for the meal then. You two can leave so I can take my bath."
Eden paused, eyes on the boys who were casting him murderous glares.
"Or do you want to see me undress?" he questioned. "I don’t mind getting nude before you..."
"The audacity!" Damien snapped.
"Then leave." Eden folded his arms.
"Let’s go." Leo turned and left the room.
The two of them were soon gone, and Eden smiled to himself. "Boys."
He turned and stared at the bathroom again, admiring the aesthetic beauty of the place. "Looks royal enough."
"This isn’t going to be enough to excuse not answering his questions," Lenny spoke.
He now appeared on the bed in the bedroom, taking his cat form.
"I know. So I’ll have to think about something else while taking a refreshing bath."
"Something like?" Lenny asked, licking his paws.
"Hmmm, let’s see. Something like flirting with him," Eden smiled.
Eden soon dipped himself into the water and drowned his whole body in. The water covered his face for a while before he brought out his head.
His blonde hair was wet as he brushed his hands through it, breathing in and out with a smile. The flower petals clung to his porcelain skin as he gently brushed them off.
He smiled.
"He seems like one to cut off your hands if you try flirting with him. He certainly only needs the answers to his question and nothing more. So how sure are you that he’ll be patient to hear any excuses you have?" Lenny questioned.
"I’ve studied the arts of seduction, so I think I can stall him with it for a while," he smiled. "Besides, I want to give it a go."
"Huh?"
"I’ve been quick to judge him from what I’ve read in the book—that he doesn’t like skinships and stuff, and that he might be immune to flirting. But I don’t think I’ve put effort into trying."
"Trying?" Lenny raised an eyebrow. "You want to try ending your life, or what?"
"I’ll try reading his reactions to sexual tension and all, and I’ll see how I can follow him up with it."
Lenny blinked. "You’re bold. Good luck with that. Just make sure you escape from his attempt to cut off your head if you don’t tell him the truth."
"I will for sure. And you should also be ready to fly me out of here if he decides to lock me in." Eden ran his hands through his skin while soothing the warm water through his body.
"Don’t worry about that. I’m already energized, all thanks to the detailed sex you had last night," Lenny laughed.
"Shut up," Eden snapped, a smile slipping through his lips as he cleaned his body in the warm bath.
---
Leo was walking through the hallway with Damien following him behind.
"Are you going to let that madman boss you around, my lord?" he questioned him.
"I’m not letting him boss me around," Leo replied, both hands behind him.
"Then you should make him know his place. We shouldn’t let him have whatever he demands." Damien was pissed.
"Let him play all he wants," Leo said. "That’s the least of my worries. All I need is the reply I wait for when the time comes. If I can get that from him, all the tricks he plays don’t matter to me."
Damien sighed. "Then he should tell you what you want tonight at dinner, right?"
"He probably should. Else I’ll just have his head." Leo was cold with his words.
"And if he tells you? Do you plan on keeping him alive?" Damien inquired.
"Why should I?" Leo said. "He’ll be of no use to me when he tells me all he knows. And then I can have his head and still get what I want, just in case."
Damien nodded. "That’s more like it. I thought you’ve grown softer with him this time around."
"Softer," Leo mumbled with a scoff. "Go get the meal ready for him. The meal should be served hot when he arrives."
"Yes, my lord. I’ll go and get it prepared," Damien nodded as he left.
