Chapter 156: A Warm Welcome

Chapter 156: 156: A Warm Welcome

"Must you go with him? Can’t you go alone? Or maybe with me?" Lysander asked.

"Well, not really," Eden explained.

"And why are you concerned? It’s not like you have anything important to contribute," Felix said.

"At least I helped him come out peacefully. You couldn’t even do that," Lysander defended.

"But I’m going to be of more help to him," Felix stated.

Eden rolled his eyes. "I don’t have time for this right now, okay?" He stared at Lysander with a smile. "You could hang around before leaving, okay? I really have to go."

Lysander hesitated before he nodded. "Okay then. Good luck on your outing. I’ll be waiting for ours too."

Eden smiled as he climbed onto Felix’s horse with his help, sitting in front of him as Felix held onto the reins of the horse.

"Don’t worry about him. He has me," Felix said.

Lysander glared at him. "And don’t get too close to him. He doesn’t look like a good person."

Felix raised an eyebrow. "He’s already closer to me. So you should already give up."

"You’re joking. We’re way closer. We know everything about each other already. You can’t even tell how close we are," Lysander stated firmly.

"What a joke. Your closeness can’t even compare to ours. We’re so close that we need each other to— Ouch!"

"Enough." Eden interrupted Felix by flipping his head backward and slamming his head against his jaw.

"Enough talking." Eden guessed he had just panicked, because these two were indirectly speaking about the sex with him.

Now Eden felt extremely awkward, knowing that he literally slept with them consecutively. And they probably didn’t know about it, so they thought they were the only ones who had slept with him.

At that moment, Eden felt like a sex addict or something.

"Let’s save that conversation for another day. I have to go. Now." Eden smiled at Lysander. "Bye."

Felix’s horse took off, and Lysander only sat on his horse, watching them leave while he waved at them.

Soon, Felix and Eden were out of sight.

---

It was a trip that took some hours, but soon they had arrived at The Grand Duchy of Enor.

By evening, their horse arrived at Leo’s mansion.

As soon as they arrived, they were rather welcomed by some guards who surrounded them with swords.

Eden and Felix stared at them, alert.

"What’s wrong with them?" Eden asked.

"They saw the wizard of EL, so of course they’ll wish to strike," Felix said.

"Oh. I almost forgot that the world hates me," Eden sighed. "Well, do your job."

"Huh?"

"Protect me, of course. You can’t possibly let them have my head," Eden stared at him.

"Oh. Sure." Felix was willing to, since his powers were already running through his veins.

Eden comfortably sat down on the horse while watching Felix come down from his horse.

The guards were still around them, their swords set to attack.

"You should take down your swords if you wish to live. I don’t have much time to waste with you guys," Eden said, sitting on the horse.

"Since the wizard of EL decided to visit us, I guess we should take the opportunity and have his head. That would certainly please the Grand Duke."

Eden scoffed. "You fools. Are you even sure of that? How certain are you that he won’t have your heads?"

"Shut up and die!" one of the guards snapped as he shot an arrow towards them.

The arrow flew towards Eden on the horse, but Felix intervened.

Felix stretched out his hands in the air and his staff appeared — a trick he had learnt himself with his powers.

He waved the staff at the arrow, which took a quick turn and flew back to the person who shot it.

They dodged it.

"He’s making use of sorcery with some apprentice," someone pointed out.

"That shouldn’t matter," another said. "Take him down."

Ten attacked at the same time with their swords, approaching Felix, who used his staff as defense. Defending himself from their swords with his staff while slamming the staff at them, sending blue dust through the air.

The blue dust washed the guards away and sent them flying. They smashed themselves hard against the pillars at the side.

More guards attacked, and Felix swung his staff in the air and cooked up a tornado that swept through the air.

"What’s that..."

"Black magic..."

"What do we do...?"

The guards pulled back at the sight of the blue tornado that came their way.

Felix was still swinging his staff in the air, controlling the pace of the tornado that now began sweeping the guards into its playground.

"Ahh!"

"Save me!"

The guards were being swept into the tornado that was building up, spinning in its direction, while some held onto the pillars and some other objects tightly so they wouldn’t get pulled off too.

Eden stared in amusement. "Oh, he’s good. I guess he’s been practicing his magic for real..." he thought, knowing that he hasn’t even taken time to practice using his own better.

He was too lazy to do so, especially since he was already getting some of the male lead’s protection.

Felix swung his staff continuously as the tornado built, also pulling in some objects into its abyss.

"And what’s happening here?" Soon, the Grand Duke Leo walked out.

Eden sighted him. "Stop," he casually instructed Felix, as Felix brought down his staff.

The tornado stopped, and everyone captured by it fell down.

Some were struggling to get up to their feet, while some were already unconscious on the ground.

Eden smiled. "Greetings, Grand Duke."

Leo looked around. "And what’s all this?"

Eden smiled. "Nothing. It’s just that your people weren’t so nice. So I simply reciprocated what they offered."

Leo said nothing. He casually stared at Eden with a cold expression.

Eden smiled some more while still sitting down on the horse.

"I can say they do take after you. A lot."
