Chapter 117: 117: Yeah, I’m Gay.
As soon as Eden stepped into the library, he made his way to the shelves and began scrolling through it with his eyes and fingers.
His mind was bent on one particular detail while he searched; he was looking for all files relating to the Grand Duchy of Enor.
That was what he had concluded with Lenny before coming here.
He had thought that since he was looking for something in relation to Leo, that category would be best fitting.
And so he looked through files that were related to the Grand duchy of Enor.
His eyes ran through the files and their possible information. Going through the pages of those which he found interesting and dropping down titles he didn’t.
He went through the years while tracing back to see if he could possibly find the one which was dated years back.
Eden figured he’d have to find a file that was dated back to 20 years or something. Around the same time when Leo’s parents died.
That file could possibly contain some information relating to their death. Not directly though, but he could at least get something from it.
Something suspicious or something that could help him further or extend his research.
His fingers scanned through the files as his eyes followed suit. He had a stern expression as he tried not to miss any details.
He was focused, muttering the titles and dates while making sure he was on the right side of his search.
He had to find something.
He had to get somewhere today. He didn’t have much time to waste. He had to find something that would benefit him.
A week wasn’t enough, and he knew. So he had to be fast with his research...
"Eden...."
He paused as soon as he heard Lysander call his name. His attention now shifting to Lysander.
Eden looked up at him "Huh?" His eyebrows raised.
Lysander hesitated. Both hands placed at his sides as he stared at Eden. He looked nervous. Extremely nervous.
Like a child who has caused a huge trouble and was about to come clean for what he did. Like someone who was about confessing his feelings to a crush of 10 years.
He looked extremely nervous and Eden could tell.
"What’s wrong?" Eden asked, his finger still on a book on the shelf and his eyes on Lysander "Is something wrong?"
Lysander was quiet for a while as he stared at Eden "You..." he shuttered "You... What do you like...?"
It was a random question. One that Eden didn’t think he expected "What I like? How?"
Lysander hesitated again "I saw it" he muttered again.
"You saw.. what?" Eden now asked.
Lysander looked down and then managed to meet Eden’s eyes "You.. I saw you being close..to those guards outside.."
Eden paused. There was a long awkward silence between them as Eden slowly nodded "Oh.."
He didn’t know what to say. But luckily Lysander continued. "They were men. But you.. you were touching them.. you.."
"Flirting with them?" Eden smiled, his hands folded as he stared at Lysander.
Lysander nodded.
"Anything wrong with that?" Eden inquired, staring at his flushed cheeks.
"It’s just.. it’s just that I.." He was finding it hard to get the words "You should be careful so ... So they don’t misunderstand that you like...do that with guys...."
"But I do" Eden was plain and direct with his words. And on the side of his lips, hung a smile.
Lysander certainly wasn’t expecting a direct answer like that.
He instantly stiffened, his eyes almost wide open as he stared at Eden "Huh? You.."
"Yes" Eden tilted his head "But I like men" He continued "That’s it"
Lysander blinked "You... But..." He was confused. With Eden’s words and with himself "But you’re a guy... And.."
He thought and then said "Guys are supposed to like girls. And not like their fellow men.. that’s how it’s always been.."
It came more in a confused manner. As though Lysander was trying to fumble through his brain to pick up the knowledge he believed he once knew.
As though he was trying to figure It all out.
But Eden smiled "And who says that?"
"I don’t know... It’s just there..." Lysander said.
"Don’t worry. You can like whatever you like. Be it a lady or a man" Eden had returned his eyes to the shelf, now running through the years and titles.
Lysander paused for a while "But..."
He still seemed confused.
"How can a guy like another guy..?" It was more of a genuine question of confusion "Have you before..?"
"Yes. Many of them. I’ve only been in love with men" Eden was plain with his answers "Never with women"
Lysander blinked. He was still digesting this new knowledge.
He has never been in love with a woman though. But he brushed off the idea of it waiting for the right time.
"But how can you do anything romantic.. with a man then.." He was now thinking aloud.
And Eden casually smiled.
Eden turned to him and now walked up to Lysander "Are you that curious?" He smiled "I’ll show you"
Lysander stood there. Stiff and confused as Eden walked close to him. Very close.
He placed a hand over Lysander’s chest, running his fingers through his chest in a flirty manner.
Lysander stiffened, his heart racing as he gasped softly. His Adam’s apple sailed.
Eden’s eyes met his face. His flushed face.
His eyes met Lysander’s eyes that were on his chest where Eden’s fingers were moving.
Eden’s hand slowly came up to Lysander’s neck and up to his chin. He held Lysander’s chin and then they stared into each other’s eyes.
"It’s not that hard to do it with a man. I’ve done it with countless men" Eden was dropping information that casually left Lysander speechless.
"All you just have to do is let the passion for wanting each other flow. And you’ll find all the right places to touch with your mouth.." He smiled as his fingers met Lysander’s lips.
