Chapter 134: 134: The truth about practice
"I found ways we could perhaps practice and you could teach me without the two of us getting.." he paused.
Eden folded his arms, Staring at him.
Felix continued nevertheless.
He was pacing back and forth in front of Eden, explaining some ancient practice skills he had discovered.
Ones that he suggested that were used for the practice. And ones he said were more effective and "decent"
But Eden blinked at him. He didn’t seem to care at all.
"Who’s the teacher here?"
Felix paused "You?"
"Exactly. So I’m the one who’s making the teaching rules here. And not you" He had his arms folded.
"But..." Felix paused "These are top options though..."
Eden sighed as he thought for awhile. "You know what? Let me break it down for you"
Eden guessed it was time to make him aware of the terms and conditions that came with their powers.
Or in this case, he was only going to use it in the context of "his powers"
"There’s only one way you could get a glimpse of your powers. Or potentially regain it" Eden began.
Felix stared attentively.
"And that’s by having an intimate activity with me. Only then can my power rob off on you. And you’ll get the powers around you. Do you get the logic now?"
Felix hesitated for awhile. He did get the logic of it. But he still didn’t want to accept the logic!
"So..." Eden continued nevertheless "That’s the only way you can taste some powers. And if we continue getting intimate, there might be a chance that you’ll finally get your powers soon without needing to rely on me intimately. Okay?"
Felix was quiet too. He didn’t like the sound of what Eden said. But that was a reality he couldn’t seem to avoid.
"So that’s it. There’s no other way around it. Only the intimacy" Eden blatantly said.
And while he let Felix digest the words, he decided to throw another bomb "And the amount of powers you get depends on how intimate we get"
"For instance. Kissing me generates more longer lasting power for you than merely holding hands or hugging. In the same way that kissing generates less power duration for you than sleeping with me with generates the longest probably"
Eden dropped the bomb and immediately Felix’s eyes widened in shock "Huh? Sleep with you? What do you mean by that?!"
Eden Shrugged "It’s part of the intimacy option. And it has the longest lasting power duration. And you can never tell, it might actually be the one that can hand you your powers since it’s a powerful learning method"
Eden smiled at his own words, but those words traumatized Felix.
Felix stood there thinking about it for awhile. His head couldn’t believe it at all. Sleeping with Eden to get his powers? That was all he could hear.
And that sounded wild to him.
"So.." Eden got up to his feet and walked up to him "Maybe if you want to get a stronger feel of your powers, you could potentially sleep with me and you’ll get your powers..."
Before he finishd his sentence, Felix stepped backwards.
His face was already red with panic. Gay panic specifically.
"What? You don’t want your powers? I guess you’re not that desperate for it. Besides, I’m not even asking you to fall in love with me. Sleeping with me doesn’t mean you’ll like me. Neither does it even make you start liking men.."
That was Eden’s ways of coaxing him.
At the moment Eden figured he’d need a longer lasting power. Because soon, in two days, he will be setting off to meet Leo.
And he needed powers to at least protect himself from The Grand Duke of Enor.
"I have something important to do..." Felix’s face was red. And he was clearly lying.
"Something? What?" Eden questioned.
"Something..." He turned to leave but Eden held him by the hands, stopping him. He knew he was about running away.
Felix blinked "what?"
"You have from today till tomorrow" Eden said.
"Huh?" Felix raised an eyebrow.
"I can’t be waiting for you all year long. If you wish to immediately proceed with effective practice, you have to decide by tomorrow"
Eden continued "By tomorrow you’ll tell me if you’re up for it. And then we can start. Or not, then we can go our different ways" Eden prayed he wouldn’t refuse though!
Felix stood there staring back at him. He didn’t know what to say at all but stared.
"Okay?" Eden confirmed as he let go of his hands "Now go and think. If I don’t see you by tomorrow I’ll take you that you’ve quit. And you can say goodbye to ever having powers as well"
Eden went back to the bed and sat down, crossing his legs and arms while staring at Eden.
"Well..." Felix ran a hand through his hair "Tomorrow then..."
He didn’t waste time but left through the window.
His mind was obviously in a mess at the moment because of the information Eden had shared.
He would have to process it at least to come up with a conclusion.
"Do you think he’s going to come back?" Lenny asked as they watched him leave through the window.
"I think he will" Eden said "He’s too desperate for his magic. And his desperation for magic is actually stronger than his will to remain straight"
"Is that so? Then I guess we’ll know what he does tomorrow " Lenny now turned to Eden "So what did you discover today. Share it with me"
Eden did. He explained to Lenny in details what he saw through the books and the history he unfolded through it.
He took his time and narrated it to Lenny who also listened attentively.
"So that’s what actually happened..." Lenny said as soon as Eden was done speaking "That actually makes sense.."
"Yes. At least it explains a lot of things. Like why Elvis and his mother are like that"
