Chapter 64: A Lesson

Chapter 64: 64: A Lesson

Eden had an evil smirk on as he sighed "Say hello to the king of Hades when you all go meet him. Tell him I went easy on you on your collective death"

He smiled as he slowly raised a hand and then closed his palms. He said within his mind "Lenny, now"

Immediately they all heard a heavy roar outside.

That was the first and the start of everything. Everyone began panicking at the sound of that as they began hugging and holding onto each other.

Some had even begun hiding anywhere they could see.

With the loud roar from outside that covered the whole atmosphere, the building started shaking massively.

It was clear that something was outside, clashing itself against the hall where they were in.

"What’s happening?!" People screamed.

"I think we’re doomed! We’re dead!"

"I don’t want to die yet!"

People had begun running around chaotically as soon as the clash escalated.

The clash against the building was massive and things had started falling off. The windows were clashing and the tables were falling. A chandelier or two has also fallen.

Glasses were breaking and foods were falling. People were screaming as they ran up and down trying to save themselves. And even some people fell in the process.

Queen Lea had held her son tightly as some guards had gathered to protect them and the king. Some guards had also gathered Eden who calmly stood there with both hands behind it.

"Stop that monster! Stop this instant!" The King ordered.

But Eden smiled, both hands behind him as he stared at the guards "Do you think these little morals can stop me? They’d be dead too in no time. So they shouldn’t even bother. Because this hall will be coming down anytime soon"

Eden smiled as he asked "And maybe the whole palace will also fall to" he laughed psychotically.

Adrian held himself firmly against a pillar as he stared at Eden. His once confident expression had fallen apart.

Now what was left on his face was shock and confusion. His points and words were all proven wrong at the moment.

Now he knew never to underestimate Eden.

With the place gradually crumbling, the sound of the dragon from outside grew. Everyone could hear it clearly with fear gripping them.

Most had begun crying as they yelled "Oh Please great Wizard of EL! Forgive us this once and set us free!"

Eden smiled at their pleading. He found it absurd that they’d even beg because history already had it that the wizard of EL was merciless. He killed anytime he began and never stopped for anything.

He was just that ruthless. And yet they begged hoping for some miracle.

Eden stood there as he felt a hand on his legs. The weak Elvis had managed to hold him by the leg as Eden looked down at him.

"Stop it..." Elvis muttered, clear enough for Eden to hear.

But Eden had no intention of stopping anytime soon. He wanted to insert that fear in them all, clear enough for no one to even dream of doubting him anymore.

"I’m protecting you. You should be grateful" He replied to Elvis with a smile. Even though he was causing chaos, he was sure he wouldn’t kill anyone at least.

He never planned to.

The chaos continued and soon fire was seen outside. The dragon had started breathing out fire to tear down the exterior that even Eden was surprised.

Fire? He guessed Lenny was getting better!

"It’s fire! It’s over for us!" Some said, hiding under the table.

Even the guards had begun taking shelter. It was obvious that they couldn’t fight against Eden now. Most had decided to begin accepting their fate. Their doomed fate.

And at that moment, Prince Lysander broke free from his mum’s grip and approached Eden.

"Hey come back here! Stay away from him!" Queen Lea tried calling back but he didn’t listen.

Prince Lysander was soon close to Eden as he grabbed his hands, looking softly into his eyes

"Eden, Please stop" Prince Lysander said in a soft and persuasive tone.

Eden could read the fear in his tone. Yet again, he felt the warmth of someone actually calling him by his real name. Which was rare here.

And then, Lenny spoke to Eden in his mind "I can’t keep it up any further...I’m getting weak..."

"Okay..." Eden said to Lenny in his mind "You can stop now..."

And now Eden stared at Prince Lysander as he smiled "Okay. I’ll stop because you asked nicely"

And immediately everything stopped.

The roar had disappeared and so did the fire outside.

All that was left were remains of the chaos. The shattered glasses, fallen tables and stuff.

All was peaceful now as everyone slowly began coming out of their hiding place.

"Did it stop?"

"Am I still alive?"

"Wait, it did stop. Is this a dream?"

"Am I alive or am I in the afterlife?"

"It stopped. We’re alive!"

They were all coming out now as they looked around to make sure they were still in the place they were before the chaos started.

They all now stared at Eden who stood there with a smile and Prince Lysander who held him by the hand.

"Thank you..." Prince Lysander said.

"Anything for you My prince" Eden teased.

"Lysander, come over here right now. Come here" Queen Lea ordered. But Lysander was still there, standing with Eden. He casually let go of Eden’s hands now.

Everyone was slowly calming down as they stared in the direction of Eden.

"He actually did let us off?"

"Is that even possible? How?"

"Wasn’t he the merciless killer? Why did he let us off?"

"We should be grateful that he actually did let us off!"

Eden looked at them all one by one.

"That should be enough warning. Next time if anyone dares question my authority or dares lay a hand on my person, I won’t be this merciful. I’ll send them straight to the King of Hades"
