Chapter 72: A Tea Party Visit

Chapter 72: 72: A Tea Party Visit

"Have you noticed anything?" Elvis asked.

He had asked Mr George to arrange for someone to keep a close eye on Helen.

Eden had poisoned her so he was waiting to see when the poison was going to start taking effect.

"No" Mr George reported "Nothing has happened to her. She’s still as she was. Healthy"

Elvis sighed, one of relief "Then that’s good" He thought "But..."

"It’s been a while now, so why hasn’t it taken effect on her yet?" Elvis thought.

"I also thought as much. I mean it’s been awhile now so the effects should have started showing like yours. Why isn’t anything happening?" Mr George pointed out.

Elvis thought for a while "Maybe it’s more slow? Or it’s not yet time?"

"Or maybe, he didn’t poison her at all? And is using it to get to you?" Mr George pointed out.

Elvis also thought about the possibilities of what Mr George had suggested.

"It might be true. But it’s too early to conclude" Elvis concluded.

"I’ll have them be more cautious in observing" Mr George said

"Sure. Do that" Elvis said "And come help me wrap Up the bandage"

Queen Lea sat comfortably in bed while she enjoyed some tea.

Two of her maids stood beside her, serving her.

Soon, the maid with the tattoo she had sent out had returned to her room.

"So?" Queen Lea asked. "How did it go?"

"I did as you said. And it worked. They didn’t suspect anything at all" the maid informed.

Queen Lea smiled as she took a sip of the tea "That’s good then. At least I can sit back and not worry too much"

She added "That stupid Wizard has ruined my plan of having him punished to the point that he won’t be able to go haunting and can’t even handle the task of the preparation. He had ruined my perfect plan of depriving him of doing the two while ruining his image..."

Queen Lea smiled "But at least I’m smart enough to think fast and come up with something else. This will ultimately stop him from doing any of the two. He’ll be completely useless after taking the drink"

"Then my dear son can step up and save the day" she expressed, proud.

"Congratulations on executing your wise plan" The maid expressed.

Queen Lea smiled "I knew it’d work out. As long as you mention his mother, he won’t suspect anything"

Queen Lea took another sip.

But immediately she heard an unexpected voice.

"I heard Her Majesty was having a tea party, so I decided to come and join" Eden said as he casually walked into the chamber.

The guards outside didn’t even stop him. They were too scared to even touch him. All they did was follow Eden into the room with their spears as though they were gonna attack him.

Truth was, they were too scared to even do anything.

Queen Lea was so stunned that she almost choked over her tea. She handed the cup to a maid as she glared at Eden who had effortlessly walked into her chamber room.

Eden had a bright smile and a familiar cup in his hands.

"What the hell is he doing in here? Why didn’t anyone stop this thing from entering?" Queen lea demanded.

Eden smiled as he looked at the guards who were around him. "They didn’t dare stop me. They love their lives I guess"

Queen lea glared at Eden "The audacity. How dare you enter step a foot into the Queen’s room at will? Don’t you know the gravity of the offense you’re committing?"

She was boiling up. But Eden was calm.

"What’s offensive about paying the Queen a visit? I’m here to join your grand tea party. And look... I also came with my own cup and drink"

Eden smiled as he raised the cup to them. A cup that everyone in that room recognised

Queen Lea and the maid with tattoo glared in shock. They stared at each other and stared at Eden.

Eden observed their expression as he said "What? Am I not invited?"

"Get out of here this instant" Queen Lea ordered.

She didn’t need a god to tell her that her plan had failed. Crown Prince Elvis didn’t take the poison. He was still okay. Rather Eden had caught up with her plan and had stopped it.

And he was here with the drink to torment her.

"My Queen. Don’t you think that it’s rude to send out anyone who genuinely wishes to visit you?" Eden asked as he slowly walked up to her.

The guards followed with their weapons, no one intending to even step forward and stop him.

"What are you doing... What do you think you’re doing?" Queen Lea leaned backwards even while sitting on the bed.

She freaked out while watching as Eden approached her.

And so Eden got closer and took a cup of tea from one of the maid. He drank it all up in front of them, emptying the cup.

And then he began pouring the medicine from the cup he came with into the empty tea cup. He smiled.

"I’m just here to return Her Majesty’s act of kindness. By serving the same drink Her Majesty served to my dear friend while he is ill..."

Eden now stared at the horrified expression on Queen Lea’s face "I wonder why the queen looks pale about that?"

He was done transferring the drink as he now handed it to Queen Lea "Have some, I’d like to see how you enjoy my token of gratitude for your care towards My friend?"

He was smiling as he handed the cup over to the Queen. The Queen on the other hand glared at Eden in fear and disbelief.

She couldn’t believe Eden was that bold.

"How dare you threaten The Queen? Do you have a death wish??" A maid standing at the side snapped.

"Threatening? Am I doing that? I don’t think so. I’m just letting her have a taste of her own medicine"

Eden smiled, staring at the Queen’s horrified expression as he added "Literally"
