Chapter 119: Bringing Him Dinner

Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Bringing Him Dinner

He didn’t know when he appeared there, but when he saw the two of them looking at him, he then walked forward.

"Hello, Mr. Coleman."

"Cillian! You came at the right time, I just needed to talk to you. This red envelope, could you please pass it on to Warren Prescott?"

Mr. Coleman handed over the red envelope.

Cillian didn’t take it but looked at Ashley Shaw and asked, "Aren’t you going to take it to him?"

Ashley Shaw then remembered she had to deliver dinner to Warren Prescott, hesitated for a moment, and then nodded.

"I’ll take it to him."

The last glint in Cillian’s eyes dimmed.

But he maintained his smile, saying, "Alright, you take it to him."

Mr. Coleman was puzzled.

"So this red envelope should..."

"Give it to me," Ashley Shaw reached out and received it, asking Cillian, "Why are you here?"

Cillian then remembered the reason.

"Mr. Coleman, I came to inform you that the media at the school gate have all left, in ten minutes everyone can go home."

"That’s great, everyone is getting restless."

"Okay, then I’ll be going."

Cillian nodded to the two of them and turned to leave, his back looked somewhat lonely.

Ashley Shaw vaguely guessed the reason, but she said nothing, just quietly returned to the classroom.

If she wasn’t a bit heartless now, Cillian would just continue to be stuck here.

He’s not worth her wasting time and energy on.

...

As soon as Ashley Shaw sat back in her seat, her classmates gathered around talking excitedly, asking about her situation.

Once they learned she was fine, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"We actually wanted to be friends with you before, but May Lee... you know, she doesn’t really like you, and we didn’t dare upset her, because her emotions are quite unstable."

"Yeah, if it weren’t for her, we would have been friends with you a long time ago."

"May Lee is really crazy, she actually took your identity, and after being exposed, she still blamed you. Blaming you was bad enough, but she even tried to throw acid at you! That’s terrifying!"

"Good thing you’re okay. Ashley, can we add each other on WeChat? Although I can’t get into Aethelgard University, I plan to go to one of the universities in Aethelgard."

In just a few minutes, Ashley Shaw’s WeChat gained more than a dozen friends.

But there were also others who said.

"Ashley, May Lee is pretty pitiful too, since you weren’t hurt,"

"What are you talking about? Why should Ashley forgive her?"

"I’m not saying she should forgive May Lee, just that she’s quite pitiful. With no parents and now having to go to jail, no one knows if she’ll survive after coming out."

"That’s her own fault! It’s the so-called ’Pitiful people must have some hateful aspects.’"

Ashley Shaw said nothing.

Because she was not the one hurt, the person hurt was Warren Prescott, she had no right to forgive May Lee on his behalf.

Soon the class teacher interrupted everyone’s discussions.

"Alright, students, the media outside has left, you can leave orderly."

"The teachers here wish you all bright futures and the best of luck going forward!"

"May every step you take in the future be firm and powerful, making the most of your time and living up to yourself, never regretting any choice you make, and seriously considering every decision in life."

"Goodbye, students!"

Mr. Coleman paused, and suddenly shouted, "Class dismissed!"

The class president quickly reacted and stood up: "Everyone, stand up!"

"Goodbye, teacher—"

As soon as the goodbye was spoken, everyone’s eyes turned red.

Ashley Shaw descended the stairs with tears in her eyes.

She’s different from others, she’s taken the college entrance examination twice, this farewell was particularly poignant for her.

Because she knows for certain, many people after today, she won’t see again for a lifetime.

And the words spoken by Mr. Coleman resonated more with her than anyone else.

This lifetime, she will earnestly make every decision in her life, not letting herself down!

When Ariana Grant came down and saw Ashley Wyatt with red eyes, she immediately panicked.

"Ashley, are you hurt too? Let me have a look!"

"No... I’m just feeling a bit emotional about graduating."

Ariana Grant breathed a sigh of relief and patted her sturdy chest.

"You nearly scared me to death with my little frame!"

Ashley Shaw chuckled out loud.

"What’s so funny?!" Ariana Grant feigned anger, chasing away Ashley Shaw’s sadness instantly.

"No more laughing, it’s my fault, I have a low bar for humor, please bear with me."

Ariana Grant chuckled and draped her arm over Ashley Shaw’s shoulder, bending Ashley’s back slightly.

"Let’s go! You got a scholarship, let’s go eat something good, and calm our nerves!"

Ashley Shaw put her smile away, somewhat awkwardly saying, "How about we cook dinner at home tonight? I’ll treat you tomorrow noon."

"What’s wrong?"

Ashley Shaw mentioned about delivering food to Warren Prescott.

Ariana Grant sighed.

"That’s right, if it weren’t for him, the one lying in the hospital would have been you. Let’s go buy some groceries, and I’ll go with you to deliver it."

Ashley Shaw rubbed her hands awkwardly.

"Um... I have a favor to ask."

"Tell me!"

"Can you come with me to the hospital, and help me deliver it?"

Ariana Grant widened her eyes.

"Me? You know I’m most afraid of him!"

"Please, Ariana, I really don’t want to see him..."

"You haven’t gotten over it?"

"No, it’s just... I simply don’t want to see him."

Ariana Grant was silent for two seconds and raised one finger.

"One hundred bucks, plus a milk tea."

"Deal!"

They clapped hands.

Three hours later, Ariana Grant appeared at the ward’s door.

She bit her lip in regret.

How did she just get carried away for a hundred bucks?

Her stout waist shouldn’t have bent so easily.

After hesitating at the door for a while, the ward door suddenly opened from inside.

The person coming out of the ward and Ariana Grant both jumped in fright.

"Who are you?" Mrs. Chase looked at her in confusion.

Ariana Grant forced a smile, holding up the thermos saying, "I’m Warren Prescott’s classmate, here to deliver food."

Mrs. Chase paused, about to ask more, but then heard Warren Prescott’s voice from inside—

"Mrs. Chase, let her come in."

Hearing this, Mrs. Chase immediately stepped aside.

"Please come in."

"No, no, no, I won’t go in, could you please help me deliver it inside?"

Mrs. Chase smiled softly, but didn’t take it.

"Miss, you’d better deliver it yourself. I need to get to the nurse station and ask the nurse to take out the needle."

With that, Mrs. Chase moved with seemingly heavy steps and quickly walked away.

With no other choice, Ariana Grant had to carry the thermos and brace herself to walk inside.

As soon as she entered, she felt an icy gaze lancing at her like a cold arrow, stiffening her legs and making her almost walk in an awkward gait.

Warren Prescott saw Ariana Grant come in alone, with no one behind her, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, realizing something, his face immediately turned grim.
