Chapter 368: Chapter 368: Slapping Zoe Hayes in the Face
Zoe Hayes suddenly stood up from her seat, walked behind the chief purser, and said, "Did my dad send you here?"
The chief purser was taken aback and hadn’t had time to ask what she meant before Zoe continued, "These two have been picking on me. You should send them to sit in the back or just kick them off. I’m sick of seeing them!"
Ariana Grant’s face turned as black as a pot’s bottom.
"Who’s picking on whom? We just want back the seats that rightfully belong to us. Are you seriously calling us out for that, you serial seat-stealer?"
"Seat-stealer?" Zoe’s forehead showed veins popping: "How dare you call me that?"
"What’s wrong with calling you that? What did I say wrong..."
"Ariana."
Ashley Shaw tugged lightly on Ariana Grant’s hand, worried she might impulsively start a fight with Zoe Hayes again.
Having lived another life, Ashley could see that Zoe was deliberately trying to provoke them.
If they really started a fight, they’d be playing right into her hands.
Ariana caught sight of the restraint in Ashley’s eyes, forced down her anger, and said to Ashley, "I won’t argue with her anymore, it’s a waste of energy! You speak!"
Ashley nodded gently and asked the chief purser, "Is there something you needed from us?"
Zoe immediately interjected, "What’s there to need? Asking you to scram, obviously!"
Even Ashley felt a layer of anger cloud her eyes at this moment.
She had already decided that if the chief purser really was there to kick them out or make them give up their seats to Zoe, then today Zoe wouldn’t be walking away.
Everyone would stay together! After all, she had all the time in the world to waste with her!
And those without family had nothing to lose, whereas Zoe still had to consider her father, the department head.
Conversely, Zoe was thinking that the chief purser was one of her father’s people; she shouldn’t fear Ashley Shaw and Ariana Grant making a scene, right?
However, at that moment, the chief purser put away her smile and said coldly, "Ma’am, I don’t know your father. You must be mistaken."
Zoe was stunned, her heart was suddenly in turmoil.
"You aren’t one of my dad’s people?"
Like an AI, the chief purser replied without any emotion, "I’m sorry, ma’am, I don’t know you, nor do I know your father."
"Then what are you here for?"
Trained professionally, the chief purser wouldn’t generally laugh unless she couldn’t help it, but she truly found Zoe a bit ridiculous.
What kind of person is this? Who knows her dad?
Is her dad such a big deal?
Even if he were, what does that have to do with her?
But ultimately, as a chief purser, she kept these thoughts to herself.
She calmly said, "I was commissioned by our VVIP passenger to upgrade these two ladies to first class. I’m here to invite them to take their new seats."
Upon hearing this, not only Zoe but also Ashley and Ariana were momentarily stunned.
After the chief purser finished speaking, she turned her face toward Ashley and Ariana, smiled once more, and said, "Ladies, our VVIP customer has already arranged for your upgrade. Would you like to move to first class?"
Ariana’s eyes lit up with joy.
They didn’t want to move to the back, but switching to first class... that’s a different story.
However, since Ashley hadn’t spoken, she waited to hear Ashley’s decision.
Ashley then asked, "May I ask who your VVIP customer is...?"
"It’s Mr. Sinclair."
The chief purser didn’t reveal the full name, but Ashley immediately thought of Owen Sinclair.
Shane Coleman had mentioned that Owen might also be on this plane.
Besides Owen, she didn’t know any other Sinclair who would upgrade the two of them.
She felt grateful and didn’t want to argue with Zoe in public any longer, so she nodded and said, "Alright, then thank you. Could you please tell us our seat numbers so we can grab our luggage and move?"
Some of their luggage had already been sent directly to the hotel; they checked in two suitcases, and they had two large bags with carry-on items left.
The two large bags were currently placed in the corridor not far off.
The chief purser smiled and said, "I’ll take you over, and our crew will handle your luggage."
Ashley didn’t insist and replied, "Thank you, then."
"It’s our duty. This way, please," the chief purser gestured with a ’please,’ both polite and enthusiastic, which in Zoe’s eyes seemed almost ingratiating.
Zoe had heard the chief purser just now.
Mr. Sinclair.
Wasn’t that Owen?
The online fans knew that their eligible bachelor, the movie star, already had a child, and the child was in college?
Zoe’s eyes flashed with a toxic ice.
She watched as the two were led away by the chief purser, her anger was anything but small.
Especially after a flight attendant came over to say, "Ma’am, you may continue to sit in this row; all three seats are at your disposal now."
Whether the attendant said this out of ’kindness’ or ’personal motive,’ it sure made Zoe’s expression as unsightly as ever.
She drew in a deep breath and uttered, "Scram!"
Saying nothing more, the attendant walked away, still wearing a professional smile showcasing eight teeth.
She wasn’t ’kind’ at all, just driven by ’personal motive,’ intentionally annoying this ’seat-stealer.’
If she loves taking up seats so much, why not buy her own plane?
Then the whole plane would be hers to sit in!
Meanwhile, in first class.
Ashley Shaw and Ariana Grant were brought before Owen Sinclair by the chief purser.
Two per row here, with very spacious seats.
Owen was sitting alone, with the seat by the window empty.
Seeing Owen wasn’t surprising to Ashley, as it was within expectation.
"Uncle Owen, you’ve helped us again."
Unaware of the prior events, Owen smiled and gestured to two seats across the aisle, "These are your seats, take a seat!"
Ashley nodded and sat down with Ariana.
The attendant quickly brought over their bags.
Ashley thanked them, then Owen spoke, "Would you like something to drink?"
"No, thank you."
Owen nodded and said, "I happened to call Shane earlier and learned you were on this flight too, so I arranged the upgrade for you. I hope it wasn’t an inconvenience?"
Before Ashley could speak, Ariana replied first.
"How could it be an inconvenience? We owe you! Otherwise, who knows how long we’d have been tangled up with that awful woman?"
Owen’s eyelid twitched slightly, "Awful woman? What awful woman?"
Ariana, quick to speak, quickly explained the situation.
Afterward, she said, "You’ve met her before, the one at The Nocturne that day. It’s hilarious; she took someone else’s seat and then tried to claim the moral high ground, saying we were picking on her. How can anyone be so shameless?"
Owen’s gaze darkened momentarily but soon returned to normalcy, "The world’s full of strange things."
After speaking, he stood up, "Why don’t you two rest for a while? My assistant is in the back, I’ll go chat for a bit."
Both nodded.
"Sure, please do."
