Chapter 886: Chapter 715: Liking You Since the First Glance 56_2
In reality, it’s impossible to refuse someone so assertive, isn’t it?
Bo Qin walked towards her wardrobe, followed by Jian Dan, "Uncle Qin, what are you looking for?"
In her wardrobe, there shouldn’t be anything of his, so what was he looking for when he came to her wardrobe?
Bo Qin ignored her, took a knitted woolen hat out from a compartment in the wardrobe, which he had brought back for her years ago on a business trip to Northern Europe.
Jian Dan looked at the hat and suddenly realized, "This is the hat you bought for me, Uncle Qin. It’s been so long."
She grabbed it from his hand and put it on her head. She had small features, an oval face, and smiling eyes. With this knitted woolen hat, she not only looked several years younger but also had a peculiar kind of softness, making one want to pinch her cheeks.
But Bo Qin held back. He looked down at her smiling eyes, "Wear this hat, although Greece isn’t quite cold in winter, a hat is still necessary."
"Okay."
She eagerly returned to her suitcase with the hat, put it inside, and looked around the room, feeling as though she had packed everything but did not intend to close the suitcase.
Bo Qin looked puzzled, "Did you forget something?"
Jian Dan shook her head, "I can’t remember now. Maybe I’ll recall something when I’m about to leave tomorrow, and then I’ll pack it before closing the suitcase. I dislike the hassle of opening it. It’s too troublesome."
Bo Qin was incredulous, "What’s so troublesome about it?"
"Uncle Qin, you wouldn’t understand."
Bo Qin: "...Indeed, I don’t quite understand. Well, get some rest early, and I’ll wake you up in the morning."
"Alright."
Early the next day, Bo Qin was at Jian Dan’s room door knocking. Jian Dan groggily got up to open the door, clearly still half-asleep. Seeing Bo Qin all dressed up at her door, she blinked and instantly became more awake, "Uncle Qin, you’re up so early?"
Bo Qin raised an eyebrow, looking at the time, "Your flight is at ten, and it’s seven thirty now, is it early?"
Jian Dan’s expression changed, "It’s not early, not at all. How about, Uncle Qin, you go to work, and I’ll have the driver take me, or Aunt Lin can take me too."
"I’ll take you."
Bo Qin insisted.
"Aunt Lin has prepared breakfast, you can eat downstairs. What would you like to eat?"
"What has Aunt Lin prepared?" Jian Dan asked, feeling a bit sad at the thought of leaving for so long and not being able to eat Aunt Lin’s cooking. Seeing the young girl’s thoughts, Bo Qin raised his eyebrows slightly, "Do you need me to persuade Aunt Lin to go to Athens with you?"
Jian Dan quickly waved her hands, "No, no, no, Aunt Lin wouldn’t want to leave her grandson. I can’t do something so heartless; neither should you, Uncle Qin. It’s too unkind. I just miss the taste of her food, but it’s okay. I’ll be living on my own and can cook myself. I’ll have Aunt Lin’s pancake. You go ahead. I’ll be down shortly."
"Egg pancake?"
"Any pancake Aunt Lin makes, I’m fine with them."
Bo Qin chuckled and went downstairs. Aunt Lin saw Bo Qin come down and brought out chicken soup and egg-stuffed pancakes from the kitchen, feeling a bit sad, "Sir, I’ve been taking care of Miss for so long; she loves eating these. I won’t be able to take care of her from now on, and it just doesn’t feel right."
Bo Qin’s eyebrows twitched, "She’s only gone for two years and will be back after that. Aunt Lin, Jianjian is going out to study, and you should stay here. I’ll occasionally come back to eat, and you can go home when I’m not here. I’ll call you beforehand if I come, and your salary will stay the same."
Aunt Lin was surprised, "How can that be, I..."
Bo Qin interrupted her, "Aunt Lin, please accept it. It’s better than finding you again when Jian Dan returns; she might feel too embarrassed to ask you back. But for now, don’t tell her about it, just keep it to yourself."
Aunt Lin understood very well and nodded, "Sir, you still care for Miss a lot."
This comment was double-edged, and she wasn’t sure if Bo Qin understood, but his expression didn’t change. He just looked at the warm-colored chicken soup and smiled, "Aunt Lin, you wake up really early."
"This is the last meal I make for Miss before she leaves, I wanted to make it special," Aunt Lin chuckled, "The things Miss likes are quite limited. Every time I make them, she praises how good they are. Even if I make them every day, she never gets tired. I can’t even stomach them myself, but when I offer alternatives, she still asks for them."
