Chapter 773: First Date

Click.

The villa door was suddenly pushed open, and a blond man in casual clothes walked in carrying shopping bags. His long golden hair was casually tied and draped over his shoulder, sleeves rolled up to reveal slender forearms, the shirt collar unbuttoned to show a swan-like neck and elegant collarbones.

Ashe glanced over and asked curiously, “Why are you dressed up as Felix?”

“How else could I go out shopping if I didn’t look like him?” Igor closed and locked the door, pulled the curtains beside him, and with a casual swipe, his appearance instantly reverted to his originals.

“You think you won’t be recognized just by dressing up as him?”

“Even if I am recognized, he’ll be the one to suffer first. At least it gives us some buffer time.”

Only then did Igor have time to notice the necromantic spectacle of insects and ants swarming in the first-floor hall, and he couldn’t help but frown. “This is someone else’s house, Harvey, what are you doing?”

Great!

Upstairs, Felix let out a heavy sigh of relief. Hearing Igor’s scolding, she was so happy she instantly forgave Igor for disguising as her, thinking at least there’s still one normal person!

That’s right, she remembered Igor went straight to take a two-hour bath upon arrival, clearly a severe germaphobe-how could he possibly tolerate Harvey’s filthy, rotten Necromancy Ritual Track?

Quick, insult him, stop him, trample him, start a fight!

The Con Artist strode over, stepping over centipedes and spiders along the way, and slapped the necromancer on the back of the head.

“Eat your breakfast at the dining table. If you eat like this and leave crumbs everywhere, who’s going to clean up? This isn’t our place, show some manners.” Igor instructed seriously.

Felix was so angry that her rage burned from her soles to the top of her head, her toes curling and gripping her slippers hard, silent curses stuck in her throat, not daring to come out-who told you to care about such trivial details, ahhhh!

Harvey was a bit impatient, but still picked up his tray and went over to Ashe. Passing by the coffin, he tossed a sunny-side-up egg inside and said, “Felix made this for you.”

Within a second, the egg was devoured by the Whirlpool of insects and ants. The figure inside the coffin slowly raised its right hand, countless maggots, centipedes, and cockroaches entwined and devouring each other within the arm, and waved amicably at Felix upstairs.

Crack.

In a daze, Felix felt a string snap in her mind, and then she lost control of her body. She watched clearly as her mortal flesh quickly lost elasticity and tension, pupils dilating, losing control of her bladder and bowels, muscle groups stiffening, colored marks of blood pooling under the skin, forming bizarre livor mortis with a morbid beauty of death…

Igor went upstairs to take away the breakfast and saw Felix’s pupils unfocused, her whole body exuding a grayish-white hue, leaning against the railing in a daze, as if her soul had been dragged into another chaotic world. The Con Artist wondered if he’d gone too far-after all, she did make breakfast for them.

“Huh?”

When Igor sat down at the dining table on the first floor, the three of them were immediately distracted by an emergency notice on the Holographic Screen.

The news channel popped up a wanted notice, but it had nothing to do with the three of them.

“…An intruder is roaming the eastern region of Galaxia. If you find any clues, do not pursue or investigate. Please report immediately to the police. No specific information on the intruder yet, but this person is a legendary sorcerer, extremely dangerous. A reward of 500 gold coins for valid information, 500,000 gold coins for capture. The Starburst Guard has already been deployed. Citizens are advised to go out less, stay aware of your surroundings, and if you encounter a criminal, do not resist-comply to protect yourself…”

Legendary wanted notice!

Besides the three of them, there was actually another legendary sorcerer who broke into the Stars Kingdom during this period!

“Is it Vichy?” Ashe immediately thought of this source of all evil, resurrected monster, Demigod scum.

“According to what you said, the Specter Seer only showed Sanctuary-level strength, right?” Igor ate his pavni and said, “But for a monster like that, starting over with a new account, it’s not strange to climb Ruby Mountain again in a short time.”

“If I had to say, I hope it’s not the Specter Seer, and the more intruders like this, the better.”

Harvey said, “So the Stars Kingdom won’t have time to worry about us three Sanctuarys?”

“No, it’s to force Stars to change its policy.” Igor twirled his fork and said, “Every policy is about enforcement cost. When the cost far exceeds the benefit, Stars Kingdom has no reason to keep it up.”

“If enough upper-tier sorcerer intruders appear, Stars will surely realize that the era of mass time trave is an unstoppable historical trend. The official attitude will naturally shift from ‘no room for negotiation’ to ‘peaceful development and win-win cooperation.’”

Igor glanced at Ashe, “By then, you might have a way to become an honorary Star, and get a long-term residency permit for the Stars Kingdom. Wouldn’t that make you happy?”

“Not really…” Ashe was a bit shy, “I’m a legendary sorcerer now, after all. How could I be so unreserved as to insist on joining the Stars Kingdom? It should be Stars begging me instead!”

“If the Stars Kingdom issued you a pardon, and you could become an honorary citizen just by handing us over, what would you do?”

“Igor, what do you mean!?” Ashe was angry. “Do I look like the type to betray friends for glory!? Our unbreakable friendship was forged in a Prison Break together!”

Igor picked up the thread: “So…”

“So you haven’t forgotten your special skills, have you?”

Ashe blinked, “I don’t mean anything else, just that you’ve all been to Blood Moon Prison, Gospel Prison, Senlo Prison. If you don’t challenge Stars Prison, your adventure feels incomplete…”

Harvey forked up the sunny-side-up egg and swallowed it in one bite, nodding heavily. “Indeed, prisons and the Four Pillars Cult are the only two achievements we can’t miss on our journey.”

Ashe watched them eat most of their breakfast before giggling, “By the way, your breakfast was made by Felix.”

“Hmm?”

“But I forced him to make it for you. He said even if he didn’t dare to poison it, he might have spit in it.”

Harvey glanced at him, then expressionlessly finished all the remaining breakfast. Igor leisurely sipped his coffee and said, “I took the breakfast Felix made for himself.”

Upstairs, Felix finally recovered from her fear of death and was eating breakfast in the kitchen. When she heard this, she froze for a moment, pouted, and looked a bit upset.

Igor snapped his fingers, and a Miracle of Silence rippled out, enveloping the dining area. These little miracles for daily mischief and mayhem were all in the Con Artist’s wheelhouse. “Enough nonsense, Ashe, what’s your plan next?”

“Well,” Ashe said casually, “the sword Princess will come see me tonight, and then in three days I’ll send you two back to Gospel. As for how I can send you back to Gospel, don’t ask yet-you’ll understand then.”

“Oh?” Harvey suddenly turned to look, “Her name is sword Princess?”

“She’s coming to see you tonight?” Igor raised an eyebrow.

“Shouldn’t your focus be on going back to Gospel in three days?” Ashe said. “So we won’t be going to Stars Prison, nor will we keep tangling with the Four Pillars Cult. We’ll return to a peaceful life together. Everyone in the Gospel Kingdom is waiting for us to go back.”

“Stuff like that doesn’t matter.” Igor tapped the table hard with his index finger. “The point is your meeting tonight!”

“What’s so special about tonight’s meeting?”

“Before tonight, have you ever met her in real life?”

Ashe froze. “…No.”

“So tonight is your first date in real life!”

Igor glanced over Ashe, face full of disdain. “Can’t you tidy yourself up a bit? Are you really planning to greet your first date looking like this?”

Ashe stared wide-eyed at Igor, his heart feeling tightly squeezed, unable to breathe for a moment, endless grievance and bitterness welling up, so sad he couldn’t speak.

How could Igor say that to him? That was just too much!

He had clearly already tidied himself up!
