Lin Xu frowned, tapping her fingers on the table. "So, you’re saying I have to accept something I don’t even know about?"

Lin Xu raised an eyebrow. "Before midnight? So it’s time-limited too?"

The screen flashed brightly before disappearing.

The voice faded, leaving Lin Xu alone in silence, the faint sound of wind brushing against the courtyard.
Lin Xu sighed, looking up at the sky. "Before midnight, huh? This better be worth it."
After Susu disappeared, Lin Xu sighed and went back into the kitchen. She finished washing all the dishes before she went back into her room.
[ Current time 10:55... Host has 5 more minutes... ]
Susu reminded her as she just rolled her eyes. "It probably won’t be something too difficult, right?" she whispered to herself as she entered her room, only to find Mo Ying seated, his legs crossed, in deep thought.
"You’re still awake?" she asked as she walked toward the wooden cupboard at the side of the room to take her change of clothes.
Mo Ying lifted his head slowly, his sharp gaze catching Lin Xu’s figure as she reached for her clothes. His tone was calm, but there was something heavy behind it.
"You talked with Mo Dan for quite a while," he said, voice low. "He must’ve had a lot to say after all these years."
Lin Xu paused, her hand frozen midair before she sighed and turned slightly toward him. "Yeah... he did."
Mo Ying leaned back in his chair, arms folded. "So, he’s finally back after eight years. You must be happy."
She frowned at the weight in his tone. It wasn’t curiosity, it was something else.
Jealousy? Why the heck would he be jealous though?
"I wouldn’t say happy," Lin Xu replied quietly. "Just... surprised. After all, he just arrived suddenly."
Mo Ying’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t say anything; he just leaned back in his chair.
Lin Xu noticed he seemed somewhat tense and couldn’t help but smirk faintly. "What? Don’t tell me you’re jealous?"
His gaze snapped up to meet hers, sharp. "Jealous?" he repeated, his voice a little too controlled. "Why would I be jealous of a man who left you for eight years?"
"Exactly," she replied simply, crossing her arms. "So why does it sound like you are?"
For a moment, the room went quiet, Mo Ying’s lips pressed into a thin line before he looked away.
"You should rest," he said, his tone distant again. "It’s late."
Lin Xu watched him for a while, a teasing glint in her eyes.
Just then, a flickering light appeared. It was Susu.
[ Host! The eleventh hour has arrived, and here is your task: Special Task (Commit one sexual activity with the opposite sex). You have one hour to do so. ]

"Wh-what? What the heck did you just say? S-sexual activity?! With who?" Lin Xu was surprised.. in fact, she was flabbergasted. How the heck did that become a special mission?

And with that, Susu disappeared, leaving Lin Xu in absolute shock.
With Susu gone, everything around her resumed, and so did Mo Ying, as he stared at her pale face.
"What’s wrong with you?" he asked, a little worried.
Lin Xu didn’t even hear him because she was still caught up in her own thoughts.
Sex? She had had sex before, it wasn’t new to her, but she hadn’t done it in a long, long time, and even if she wanted to commit any sexual activity with anyone, she didn’t know any "opposite sex" to do it with except...
Her head turned to face Mo Ying, who immediately felt her icy glare.
"Umm... What’s going on? Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked, holding onto his chair.
Gulping slightly, Lin Xu braced herself.
It was now or never. If this would mean finding out who the heck got the former Lin Xu pregnant, then it was absolutely worth it.
Walking toward the table beside her bed, she took a little hairpin, which she used to tie her hair in a messy bun before walking toward Mo Ying.
Meanwhile, Mo Ying just stared at her as she approached him, her eyes different than usual, it showed more of a hungry look. Huh?
Before he knew it, she knelt down before him, in between his legs as he sat there, staring at her in confusion.
"Mo Ying, you kissed me to shut me up... see this as me taking my revenge."
