Chapter 51: Clearing Up Grudges:

Jiang Huaiyue had finally figured everything out.

So, everything had been part of the trap Shen Wuxiao had set. She looked at him helplessly and said, “So, you’re the one who misled Lin Fan into killing the wrong person?”

Shen Wuxiao smirked with a hint of wickedness and nodded. “Yes. The death of the young master from the Haisha Society was inevitable. I just wanted Lin Fan and the Haisha Society to clash head-on.”

“Even if Lin Fan couldn’t kill him, I would’ve made sure he died. In Zhonghai, my word is final—they don’t get a say.”

Jiang Huaiyue couldn’t help but admire his decisiveness and ruthlessness.

“So ever since the death of Lin Fan’s brother, everything has been part of your plan?”

Shen Wuxiao didn’t deny it. “The moment his brother died, I knew Lin Fan would come back seeking revenge.”

“So I gave him the lead first, made him lose control, and from there, I stayed one step ahead.”

“Every move he made after returning was under surveillance. Even our so-called friendship—it was all orchestrated by me.”

Jiang Huaiyue had nothing left to say.

In this situation, Lin Fan was destined to lose miserably. After all, how could anyone win if every move they made was being manipulated from the very beginning?

Shen Wuxiao gently pinched her delicate cheek. “Now do you believe what I said before? Your man is cunning!”

Jiang Huaiyue pouted. “Yes, you’re cunning, but you’re bold and daring too. Plus, you have a strong background!”

“No wonder you asked me that night—‘If you and Lin Fan became enemies, who would you choose?’ So you were giving me a heads-up!”

Shen Wuxiao smiled slyly. “Isn’t that called caring about your feelings?”

“And I wasn’t lying either. It really was Lin Chen who tried to snatch my fiancée and kill me. So I killed him first.”

“As for everything that happened after that… just as you said, it was all part of my plan to destroy him.”

After confessing everything, Shen Wuxiao felt a sense of relief.

Jiang Huaiyue had no rebuttal.

Strictly speaking, she was an outsider in all of this, and Lin Fan had walked into Shen Wuxiao’s trap on his own.

Now that she had already given herself to Shen Wuxiao, perhaps it was fate—and she didn’t regret it.

After all, she had truly fallen for him.

“Can I choose not to get involved in what’s going on between you and Lin Fan?” Jiang Huaiyue asked.

That was exactly what Shen Wuxiao wanted—her not to interfere. He intended to kill Lin Fan, but he didn’t need Jiang Huaiyue’s help.

“Of course. I just want you to stay out of it. The grudge between Lin Fan and me is personal—it’s a fight to the death.”

“If you get involved, you won’t be able to face your old comrades, and you’ll feel uneasy.”

Jiang Huaiyue was stunned for a moment, then wrapped her arms around him and gave him a deep kiss.

Shen Wuxiao was right. She still had to think about the others. If she killed Lin Fan, how would her old comrades react?

They had all risked their lives together. She would only intervene if Lin Fan truly threatened Shen Wuxiao.

But that clearly wasn’t going to happen—Shen Wuxiao was not someone who would end up at a disadvantage.

“Yue’er, Lin Fan once tried to kill me, and you stopped him. Now that you know the truth, will you still choose to cut ties with him?”

Shen Wuxiao asked her sincerely.

Jiang Huaiyue nodded firmly. “Even though you planned everything, Lin Fan didn’t know. So in his eyes, the person he wanted to kill wasn’t Shen Wuxiao—it was Master Sikong.”

“He never realized you were Shen Wuxiao, nor did he know you had set a trap for him. In his mind, you were the one who helped him without asking for anything in return.”

“But even without knowing the truth, he still tried to kill you. That’s his fault.”

Jiang Huaiyue was unwavering.

Lin Fan had murderous intent. He could have targeted Shen Wuxiao, but he shouldn’t have gone after “Master Sikong”—the identity that had supported him.

If Lin Fan had known the truth, then a new grudge would have made sense. But at that moment, everyone was in the dark, and Shen Wuxiao had only ever helped him.

Because of his anger, Lin Fan tried to kill the person who had been helping him all along. That was unforgivable.

Shen Wuxiao hadn’t expected her to be so firm, but he understood her reasoning.

In Lin Fan’s eyes, he wasn’t Shen Wuxiao—he was Master Sikong. And he still wanted to kill him.

Suddenly, Jiang Huaiyue changed the subject. She hooked her arm around Shen Wuxiao and pulled him up as they both sat.

“What’s wrong?”

She suddenly pinched his cheek and glared. “So, you actually held a wedding banquet already?”

“What’s up with that banquet?”

She was ready to settle scores now.

He actually had a whole wedding banquet? Sure, first come first served—but as his woman, she had a right to know!

Shen Wuxiao looked a little wronged. He wasn’t some love-struck fool. That matter had nothing to do with his true self.

But still, in the end, he was Shen Wuxiao.

“It went like this…”

Shen Wuxiao began recounting everything he remembered.

From being a carefree young master to someone who fell deeply in love, he had chased Liu Qingqing all the way to Zhonghai.

He’d helped the Liu family in many ways, which led to the wedding banquet—and everything leading up to it.

As for what happened during the wedding, he left those parts out. It was too bloody.

As she listened, Jiang Huaiyue grew both angry and jealous. That Liu Qingqing… why?

She also wanted to scold Shen Wuxiao for being foolish.

But the most disgusting one was still the Liu family—greedy, shameless, and Liu Qingqing herself was downright filthy.

If she didn’t love him, why pretend to be so noble?

While thinking about other men, she took everything Shen Wuxiao gave and played along. She clearly wanted to benefit from his identity and status, then kick him away once Lin Chen returned.

If it were someone else, Jiang Huaiyue would’ve just felt contempt. But since it was Shen Wuxiao, it made her furious.

“You actually let a b**ch like that go?” she asked coldly. Jiang Huaiyue, after all, was a battlefield soldier with a strong killer’s aura.

And as a fighter, she believed in action—not empty words.

She wanted Liu Qingqing to learn what it meant to get slapped hard enough to lose all her teeth.

“Let her go?” Shen Wuxiao laughed. “Do I look like the saintly type?”

Jiang Huaiyue paused. Maybe she really was overthinking it.

If Shen Wuxiao were soft-hearted, he wouldn’t have set Lin Fan up or killed the young master of the Haisha Society.

Looking back, he was just blindly in love and got tricked by Liu Qingqing.

“Now that everything’s out in the open, there won’t be any more misunderstandings between us,” he said while gently fixing her messy hair. “Be good. Your man loves you.”

Jiang Huaiyue pouted. “You lied to me so much. How can I just let that go?”

“You need to be punished…”

Right after she said that, Jiang Huaiyue suddenly pushed Shen Wuxiao down and kissed him deeply.
