Chapter 65 You Owe Me Guan Erye

"Kill this brat for me!" Tang Ruotong, abandoning any pretense of a one-on-one duel, snapped in a fit of rage.

"You've disrespected me countless times, and even dared to order your subordinates to kill me. Not crippling you already is a show of mercy!"

"You ungrateful wretch!"

Chen Jie's expression turned cold.

"You punk, let go of the young lady!"

"Trash! How dare you touch our young lady's hand? Chop it off yourself!"

A group of henchmen rushed towards Chen Jie.

Chen Jie had no choice but to release Tang Ruotong. However, he kicked her squarely in the backside, sending her flying away.

Simultaneously, Chen Jie began to deal with the Tang family's bodyguards.

Meanwhile, Tang Ruotong shrieked and landed in front of Tang Wenwu.

"Ah! Sister, this scoundrel, he actually kicked your butt again! How detestable!" Tang Wenwu was fuming.

Tang Ruotong, however, looked embarrassed, her expression a picture of awkwardness as she hesitated to cover herself.

The pain was immense.

Chen Jie's last kick had landed on a sensitive spot, causing her to endure pain ten times greater than before.

Yet, her face was flushed crimson, and with so many people watching, she dared not cover herself.

A series of piercing screams drew her attention away.

In a mere few seconds, her entire group of bodyguards had fallen to the ground.

"This... how is this possible?" Tang Wenwu exclaimed.

"How can he be so strong?" Tang Ruotong was also stunned.

Standing nearby, Zhang De merely sneered.

His master was a cultivator; if ordinary people could defeat a cultivator, then their title would be utterly meaningless.

"How could this happen?"

The fallen bodyguards could hardly believe it.

"All of you, get up! You useless bunch! Hurry and take him down!" Tang Ruotong insisted, unwilling to accept defeat.

Thus, the bodyguards scrambled to their feet.

Just then, a minivan drove towards them.

It stopped beside them, and a middle-aged man and an elder emerged from the vehicle.

"All of you, stop!" the middle-aged man commanded loudly.

"Dad, why are you here? Has your episode passed?" the siblings exclaimed with surprise and joy.

This was their father, Tang Hai.

"What's going on?" Tang Hai asked urgently.

As Zhang De was about to explain, Tang Wenwu quickly interjected, "Dad, this is Zhang De's master. We originally intended to bring him back to treat you, but this brat completely disregarded our Tang family and even assaulted me! He even kicked my sister's butt twice!"

He then turned to the elder beside Tang Hai and said, "Old Mo, hurry and vent our anger, cripple that kid!"

"You are Tang Hai?" Chen Jie looked at Tang Hai, his brow furrowed.

"Damn it, how dare you address my father by his name? Call him Grandpa!" Tang Wenwu glared at Chen Jie.

"Silence!" Tang Hai ordered.

"Dad, this kid doesn't put our Tang family in his eyes at all. If this gets out, won't we be a laughingstock? Hurry and let Old Mo take action!" Tang Wenwu fumed.

Chen Jie looked at Tang Hai with a cold gaze.

He was waiting for Tang Hai's reaction.

If Tang Hai was willing to antagonize him to protect his children, then Chen Jie wouldn't hesitate to deal with him as well.

Upon hearing Tang Wenwu's words, Tang Hai was enraged.

It wasn't because of Chen Jie. As the father of Tang Ruotong and Tang Wenwu, he knew his son's character well.

With a swift motion, he slapped Tang Wenwu across the face.

"Dad, why are you hitting me?" Tang Wenwu asked, holding his face, bewildered.

"Beast! How many times have I taught you? Don't act arrogantly and imperiously outside. What have you done?" Tang Hai roared.

"Dad, our family worked hard to build this massive enterprise. What's the point of not using this enterprise to our advantage? We have status and power, so naturally, we should enjoy the benefits that come with them!" Tang Wenwu argued.

"Still trying to quibble! With your character, how much wealth could possibly be enough for you to squander? We could pay a heavy price by simply encountering a significant figure!"

"Your mother is gone, and I've been too lenient with you, which has made you so arrogant! I'll deal with you properly when we get back!" Tang Hai yelled furiously.

Tang Wenwu still harbored some resentment but dared not retort.

Tang Hai, however, approached Chen Jie proactively and asked politely, "Young friend, may I know your surname?"

"Chen Jie."

Chen Jie was somewhat satisfied with his attitude.

It seemed Tang Hai was a reasonable person, and Tang Wenwu and Tang Ruotong were merely spoiled children.

"Young friend Chen, my apologies. My children are accustomed to their arrogance. If they have offended you in any way, I hope you can overlook it," Tang Hai said.

Tang Wenwu and Tang Ruotong's eyes widened.

In their eyes, their father usually doted on them greatly and would retaliate if anyone dared to bully them.

Yet, seeing Chen Jie today, he was so courteous, which was utterly baffling to them.

Chen Jie replied calmly, "Since you have said so, I will not pursue the matter with them."

"Brat, I don't agree even if you don't care!" Tang Wenwu declared.

"Silence!" Tang Hai's expression changed, and he shouted.

"I won't! Dad, if this kid had only disrespected me and my sister, I might give you face and let him off. But he damaged my Guan Erye!" Tang Wenwu picked up Guan Erye and tearfully approached Tang Hai.

"What happened to Guan Erye?" Tang Hai's expression flickered, as he clearly knew the miraculous nature of Guan Erye.

"I feel like ever since I invoked Guan Erye against this kid, I've lost contact with him. It must be this brat's doing! I intended to pass Guan Erye down as a family heirloom, but how can I do that now?" Tang Wenwu complained.

This…

Tang Hai took Guan Erye in his hands, his expression shifting.

Then, as if recalling something, he asked, "You used Guan Erye against him?"

"Yes! I kowtow to Guan Erye three times every day. I've worked so hard, and now Guan Erye is broken. I absolutely cannot let this slide!"

Tang Hai, however, looked at Chen Jie in astonishment.

Initially, when Tang Wenwu mentioned Chen Jie was Zhang De's master, he hadn't thought much of it, assuming it was a mistake.

Now, knowing that even Guan Erye couldn't do anything against Chen Jie, he immediately realized Chen Jie's extraordinary nature.

"Kowtow? Do you know what the so-called Guan Erye you speak of is?" Chen Jie asked with a cold smile.

Tang Wenwu retorted angrily, "Of course I know what he is! He's something that can save my life! In my heart, he's like my own second uncle. You broke him, which is equivalent to killing a relative. How can I possibly let you get away with this?"

Tang Hai didn't take his words seriously, instead asking Chen Jie, "Do you know the origin of this Guan Erye?"

Chen Jie replied calmly, "I'm not entirely sure of its origin, but I know that this Guan Erye is filled with malice towards your family; it's definitely not a good thing."

"Before you appeared, I wasn't certain, but now I know. Someone in your family died recently, right? It was all done by this so-called Guan Erye."
