Chapter 452: Sol Vs Rasha.

Chapter 452: Sol Vs Rasha.

"Come, come and meet me head-on, Sol Vestic!" General Silva, as if she had gained her footing, stepped on a pocket of space propelling herself even faster and leaving a burst of mana behind her in her race towards Sol.

She was in his sights, he could have sworn she was, but in the blink of an eye the Third General was next to Sol with her fist descending and a crazed expression etched into her eyes. "Come and meet your doom." She spoke calmly before her mana-coated fist left a dent in the armour of his raised hands over his torso.

"One punch?!" Ikaris exclaimed in shock watching the white mana explode with the energy of a small star sending Sol out of sight in a matter of seconds, leaving the General again standing and shaking her fist with a grin.

"Impressive," General Silva’s smile widened a little more while she looked from her hand to her leg which sported a tear in her uniform skirt and stockings after Sol had found a way to counter with a kick despite being completely blindsided and sent flying.

"You..." Ikaris made to attack in her approach but flinched when Xie stopped before her with his back turned, staring at General Silva seriously.

"Please reconsider your disposition, My Lady," The Man continued glaring at the General. "This woman has the ability to kill you with a medium amount of difficulty at the least," He warned her, causing the goddess to gring her teeth and release a long breath of mana.

"Am I supposed to sit idly by then?" She asked, watching Silva slowly crane her head and look around at them.

"Ikaris, of the House of Ikaris," General Silva slightly grinned again. "The Master will be especially pleased seeing your head in a bag I am sure." She chuckled. "But wait your turn like a good little girl, I will find you after I deal with Vestic."

"As long as I am here no harm will come to you, remember this." Xie declared, causing the woman’s eyes to shift to him annoyed while the ship in the distance behind them shot off several simultaneous bolts of cannon-fire at the new ships emerging from the additional wormholes.

"Positions!" Dr’ul called from a launching platform of the great ship, setting off towards the first emerging ship in the multitude of wormholes with a crusade of warriors at her sides and heels. "Take them down!"

"In my presence, how dare-"

"What the heavens was that?" Ikaris froze again after the General vanished mid-sentence, leaving a small piece of her cape behind this time before Sol’s mana appeared and vanished and an afterimage of himself slightly flickered and then vanished just as quickly.

"You have spent so much time close to the Sovereign that you seem to forget the monster he is, Lady Ikaris," Xie chuckled setting his sights on another emerging enemy ship. "The best way to help him currently is to not overreact and let him handle the enemy general on his own," He turned and smiled at her, causing just a little of her worries to be sated as she thought of his words.

It was less of her being too worried and more of the fact that she could not sense General Silva’s mana, and then the fact that this woman was using mana in the first place; mana was a choice for the emporium who had become this powerful already with the use of LAW.

"I..." Ikaris slowly balled her fist, summoning her sword from her Soul’s Garden in her grasp. "Very well, Xie, I will trust in your confidence, I seem to have insulted my beloved unknowingly by feeling this way."

"It is understandable," Xie turned a single finger to the closest ship yet to be engaged and flicked it, causing a wave of red and black mana to emerge in the form of spades and tentacles ripping it to shreds in a matter of seconds, revealing the few who survived and continued to persist towards them. "When you love someone, you tend to make silly decisions and have distracting thoughts seeing them in the path of danger."

"Master needs no such distractions now, if he sees you passively watching him he will grow concerned." Dina took Ikaris’s side with a hand on her arm and nodded at Xie who let out a sigh of relief and turned away from them once more. "Ikaris, we await your orders." She watched the Mad Raven slowly drift away before vanishing from their sights.

"The longer we persist the more casualties we might incur, form groups of sixteen and stick with your teams," Ikaris shook her head staring at several dozen more wormholes as the chaos around them grew. "We have enemies to fell."

"Tesseract formation." Dina calmly ordered through the system while Ikaris clenched her teeth and held her hands forward.

[Unknown Tier: Bolt]

In a single motion Ikaris took charge firing off several small bolts of blue mana pistols, each growing exponentially greater as they cleaved their way through the void opening chasms of manaless lanes as they ate the very space they traversed in. By the time they reached their destinations each of them carried their own gravity, drawn to the first and largest as it crashed into a ship imploding and taking that part of the ship with it.

"There are no more wormholes," Alpha appeared at Ikaris’s side while she was traversing the debris towards the destroyed ship where again the strongest aboard had survived and opted to charge rather than retreat.

"How many do we face?" Dina who was right behind them asked.

"The enemy outnumber us three to one, but we have more potent power on our side." Alpha answered briefly before vanishing and being replaced by Jena who waved at them silently having diverted all of her processing to comms unlike her mother who was dealing with weapons and the ship security.

"Initiate the plan, Jena." Ikaris made first contact with a man who seemed to be a lesser captain, parrying several of his punches before sweeping under his guard dragging the cape on his back and slamming her palm into his chest while Dina’s palm crashed into his stomach.

[Combined Tier: Dominion]

In a single breath the man was left with a gaping hole through his person and a wave of destructive cosmic fire tearing across the people who were following in his wake, from those though the strongest emerged again, with several of them seemingly unscathed from their AOE attack.

-

"We will sift through their numbers, be careful, a lot of the enemies are willingly hiding their power from us, and with our inability to properly sense LAW we’re prone to sneak attacks!" Cecelia Riared, waving her hands and summoning a miniature sun above her head, attacking the last ship that had come through.

[Ikaris has ordered the initiation of terrain, all forces prepare for rupture and brace for the shift]. Everyone heard Jena’s voice simultaneously and braced themselves before the space arounf them began pulsing with wild mana being forged at the base of the sector as a massive body began forming.

[Creation Tier Magic: Plane.]

Jena appeared in the midst of the battlefields with her eyes closed and her hands spread wide in an almost divine gesture while solid ground began forming beneath them, the once void space suddenly flashed and then expanded twofold, creating an artificial atmosphere throughout its entirety while the bottom became a solid base and everything that had remained static because of a lack of gravity began falling downwards.

"What is this sorcery?!" General Silva who was also caught up in the sphere of [Plane] staggered before regaining her footing in the air, watching as the millions of stars began gathering above forming a grid that drew closer and brought light with them, forming day over the course of a few seconds.

"Have I been fighting the wrong person?" She asked, watching Sol flash his hand and clench his fist while she wiped the trickle of blood from her nose. "Whomever is responsible for this is demonstrating powers unlike anything we have heard of this man."

"That would be my subordinate." Sol smirked seeing the General’s confused and doubtful expression taking a deep breath of the new atmosphere and raising his chin as if he had smelled paradise. "It truly feels different fighting under the sky and feeling the wind." He released his breath, and with it a hiss of mana.

"This is much better."

"You-"

[GODSPEED]

Silva blocked a punch she hadn’t known had been thrown and then raised her knee to deflect a kick directed at her abdomen as Sol vanished for a brief moment. "Wh-"

The General made to move again but jerked in the opposite direction when Sol caught her by the cape on her shoulders and spun with a roar using all of his immediately accessible strength to throw her downwards, creating a thin line of fire as the atmosphere ignited with her and she was left at the mercy of inertia and momentum for several minutes.

Eventually the woman found her balance, and as she did, she found herself softly landing on solid ground, looking at the barren terrain and then forward as Sol landed before her violently.

His hair ablaze with gold and the Halos humming menacingly, causing the ground around them to slightly vibrate.

"It seems I have gravely underestimated this man if this is the power of one who fights as his subordinate." She mused, watching as the smaller halo on his chest vanished and appeared inside of the larger one on his back and his eyes began crackling with golden electricity.

In response to his Godslayer mana her hair began slightly floating and the mana within her began to stir like a furnace.

"I must end this fight before he displays any other such feats-"

"Are you finally taking this seriously, Godslayer?" Sol asked, and the General flinched before him.

"How did you-"

"Rasha Silva, once under the employ of the house of Ikaris deflected with Zan’el when he betrayed his people, You are Zan’el’s Godslayer, much like I am Ikaris’s." Sol stared at her, with an increasingly deepening frown.

"I never expected that the remaining Generals and even the Emperor himself were all traitors, no wonder the Vatui lost the war."
