I feigned drunkenness, mumbling, "Hey, don't sleep, get up and keep drinking!"
Long Yue didn't respond.
I got up, swayed over, climbed onto the bed, and patted her delicate little face. "Get up! Get up!"
Long Yue reacted, but only lazily pushed my hand away and mumbled.
I believed she was truly asleep.
Looking at her partially revealed collar, my heart surged. How could I miss such a good opportunity!
Slowly, I retreated, got off the bed, and tiptoed to the door. However, it was still locked. When Long Yue came in earlier, those two cooks had locked the door from the outside. Perhaps Long Yue had a key to unlock it from the inside? Because I saw a keyhole next to the doorknob!
So, I returned to the bed. Fearing Long Yue would wake up, I picked up the half-cup of wine left in my own cup and helped her sit up. "Come, Little Yue Yue, open your mouth, good girl!"
Long Yue slightly opened her mouth. I used the rim of the wine cup to pry open her teeth and poured wine in, continuing to coax her, "Have some, this is a drink to sober you up, otherwise you'll feel uncomfortable later."
Long Yue squinted one eye and glanced at me.
"Drink it, good girl!" I said with a smile.
Long Yue's mouth and tongue were probably numbed by the alcohol, so she didn't taste anything and gulped down another cup. Only towards the end did she seem unable to drink more, or perhaps she sensed something was wrong. I cupped her chin and tilted her head up. Gulp, a hidden Adam's apple bobbed as she swallowed the last mouthful.
I wanted to pour more, but the cup and bottle were empty. She had only brought one bottle, of which she drank about two-thirds. I had sipped maybe one-fiftieth, and the rest I had poured out. After pouring the wine, I helped Long Yue lie down again. Fearing she wouldn't sleep comfortably, I straightened her out on the bed, placed a pillow, and helped her take off her shoes, socks, and outer clothes. During this process, Long Yue only grunted a few times and showed no other reaction.
After covering her with the quilt and ensuring she was sleeping soundly, I began searching through the pockets of her discarded outer clothes, even checking inside her shoes. Apart from her dead phone, I found nothing else. Could it be inside her inner clothing?
I lifted the quilt, but she was wearing a tight-fitting inner shirt and pants, which had no pockets. I felt around her socks, but nothing. Could it be even further in?
Further in would mean touching her skin directly. I feared my cold hands might wake her, so I warmed my hands inside my own chest for a while. Once they were warm, I reached for her. After searching around, I found nothing. It seemed she truly didn't have the key.
What to do then?
I activated my Qi sensing technique and found those two cooks with red Qi were indeed next door, sitting opposite each other, seemingly playing cards.
Two red Qi, and they're cooks. Their combat power should be quite average, right?
Long Yue was sleeping so soundly, and there were no other masters of the Mohe tribe within several kilometers. This was a golden opportunity that wouldn't come again. I decided to take a risk. I got off the bed and rummaged around the room. Finding no suitable weapon, I broke off a small piece of a chopstick, using its sharp edge as a weapon in my left hand, and carried the empty vodka bottle in my right, then went to the door.
"Two masters?" I called out softly.
Perhaps due to the two doors between us, they didn't hear me. Fearing Long Yue would be woken up and call me, I gradually increased my volume. On the fifth call, they finally heard me, and their auras moved towards me.
"Mr. Wu? Is that you calling us?" one cook asked.
"Ah, well... Miss Long Yue is drunk and asleep in bed. I was thinking, it's not appropriate for us to be alone like this, and if others found out, it would harm Miss Long Yue's reputation. Could you two possibly come in and help her downstairs?"
"This..."
The two cooks whispered to each other.
"You don't have to open the door, but if Miss Long Yue wakes up in my room tomorrow morning and blames me, I won't take responsibility. I'll have to tell the truth – that I asked you to come and take her away, but you refused. If Miss Long Yue punishes you, don't blame me," I added fuel to the fire.
"This... alright then, Mr. Wu. Please step away from the door," one cook said cautiously.
"Okay," I replied. A fool would obey you!
