Chapter 234 Deer Blood

"Stop pretending, we all saw Mengmeng's actions. Right, Bingbing?" Chen Lu pulled someone else in.

"Hee hee hee," Zheng Bingbing handed me a very thin twig with two oval-shaped meat balls skewered on it. "Brother, eat this first. What you eat is what you get."

"What is this thing?" I asked. It was a bit charred from roasting, sprinkled with a layer of bright red chili powder.

"Rabbit kidneys. They're delicious. Neither of us could bear to eat them!"

What you eat is what you get?

Mengmeng's actions?

Three people?

I think I'm starting to understand...

Yao Yao was too weak to receive treatment actively. Mengmeng acted as a relay, using a move like "a lump in the throat" to transfer it!

Oh my god, such a thrilling event, and I wasn't even told! If it weren't for Bingbing and Chen Lu's "kind reminders," I would have been completely kept in the dark, thinking it was a dream!

But I didn't want to reveal it myself, so I pretended to know nothing and ate heartily. I really did need to supplement.

After finishing one plate, Chen Lu cut me another. Just then, a girl walked in through the door. It was Lu Yao, the cold and aloof deer spirit.

"Hey, Second Sister, come eat rabbit!" Zheng Bingbing greeted her.

The deer spirit smiled faintly. "I don't eat cooked food. Boss, this is for you."

Saying this, the deer spirit took a cola bottle from her clothes. It looked like the same bottle I had used to give Yao Yao water earlier, but it wasn't filled with water. Judging by the color, it looked like juice, and there was only half a bottle.

"What is this?" I asked.

"A nourishing drink. It might taste a bit unpleasant, bear with it. It's good for you." After handing the bottle to me, the deer spirit left. She lived to the left of Yao Yao and had to continue guarding Yao Yao in her own cave dwelling. All eight cave positions were indispensable.

Holding the bottle, my hand felt the liquid inside was warm. I unscrewed the cap, and a strong smell of blood wafted out!

"What the hell!" I frowned, almost throwing it away from the smell!

However, after the pungent odor subsided a bit, I tried smelling it again. The scent had improved considerably, with a hint of "sweetness." It wasn't that I was using the wrong word; "sweetness" could usually only be tasted with the tongue, not smelled with the nose. But the aroma of this liquid, when smelled, could only be described as sweet, akin to the faint scent of osmanthus flowers.

I took a tentative sip. The liquid's temperature was the same as my oral temperature. It was very smooth. Before I could swallow, it slid down my throat.

I smacked my lips. It was still very fishy. Oh well, Second Sister said it was good stuff, so I'll drink it, even if it's tough.

I downed the entire bottle in one go. Just as I was about to put the bottle down, the deer spirit turned back and said calmly, "Oh, Boss, I forgot to tell you, this half bottle is a twenty-four-hour dosage. You were only supposed to drink a quarter of a quarter... You drank it all!"

"Uh-huh," I showed her the empty bottle and smiled. "You meant well, how could I let your kindness go to waste? Do you have any more? It felt quite comfortable, my stomach felt warm, as if a little person was massaging it inside."

The deer spirit rushed over, looked at the red residue on the bottle, grabbed me, and placed me on her lap. She then started patting my back.

"Hey hey, cough cough cough! What are you doing, Second Sister!" I shouted. Her patting was making me want to vomit, no, not want to, I could clearly feel the meat I had just eaten in my stomach surging upwards, I couldn't hold it back. "Ugh..."

The meat was digesting slowly. Pretty much all the meat slices Chen Lu had cut for me earlier, along with those two rabbit kidneys, were brought back up. The texture of the meat was still clearly visible.

However, the deer spirit looked down at my vomit and patted my back even more vigorously!

"Oh no, Second Sister, you're going to beat Brother to death!" Zheng Bingbing said anxiously.

"We have to induce vomiting, otherwise he won't make it through the night!" The deer spirit, in her desperation, looked up and shouted, "Mengmeng, come down and help!"

Mengmeng slid down the ladder. "What's up! What happened! Why are you hitting him?"

"He drank too much deer blood..." the deer spirit said miserably. Deer blood? I hadn't heard that Zheng Bingbing and the others had hunted a deer, and this was the suburbs, not a primeval forest. Where would they get deer?

Could it be the deer spirit's own blood? But she wasn't injured in the previous battle, so where did this blood come from?

Could it be that extra blood that was discharged every month...
