Cang Jing initially persisted, but when Lao Ba truly opened his mouth and bit down, tearing off a piece of flesh with a single bite, Cang Jing let out a scream and immediately caved. Trembling, she stood up and retrieved a key from the nearby safe.
"You refuse a toast only to be forced to drink a forfeit. Take me underground," I commanded sternly.
"Baka! Look at me, can I even walk!" A layer of fine sweat appeared on Cang Jing's wrinkled forehead; she must have been in real pain!
"Fine, then I'll go down myself." I sneered, moving behind Cang Jing, intending to imitate the fox demon and knock her unconscious.
With one palm strike, President Cang Jing cried out, "What are you doing!" holding the back of her neck and turning around with displeasure.
"Uh... nothing." As she turned, I struck again, this time with greater force. I could hear the bones cracking, yet still, she didn't fall unconscious, earning me another curse.
Lao Ba couldn't stand it anymore. He transformed back into human form and knocked Cang Jing to the ground with a single palm strike...
"Was there a detail I missed?" I asked, confused.
Lao Ba showed me his palm. "Nothing more, nothing less, just sheer power."
Embarrassing!
I shook my head. As I led them out, the fox demon had already come up. Damn, I only got the key and forgot to ask for the entrance. The four people on the third floor were all unconscious. I asked the fox demon if he had left any survivors among the other three on the second floor. The fox demon licked his lips and shook his head.
"Never mind, let's go to the first floor first," I said. There was no elevator in this building, so the entrance to the underground had to be on the first floor.
However, after searching everywhere, we found nothing. The other four demons had completed their tasks. They lacked my intelligence and simply dealt with the people, asking nothing. Even with eight of us searching, we couldn't find it.
"Why don't we just smash through the lawn outside?" the tiger demon suggested.
I shook my head. Observing with my Qi sensing technique, I could clearly see a gray, blurry object beneath the surface, likely a concrete layer. It couldn't be smashed. Helpless, I had to take the fox demon back to Li Xiao Jing's office on the second floor. Because the fox demon's palm strike on her had been relatively light, after shaking her head for a while, he splashed water on her face, finally waking her up.
When asked how to enter the underground vault, Li Xiao Jing said the entrance wasn't in this company but in an unmarked company across the street, at their parking lot entrance.
A brilliant move, it could easily be overlooked.
My soft heart couldn't bear to knock Li Xiao Jing out again. I led the demons out, scaled the wall, and met up with Yao Yao and the others, reporting our progress.
Meanwhile, Ya Nan had flown into the dilapidated, dark company across the street and directly into the underground parking lot. Soon after, Ya Nan flew out, saying there was indeed a passage leading to this side of the road, but there was an iron door with a copper lock.
I handed her the key. "This should be it. Go try it. We'll be right there."
As we were talking, Yao Yao suddenly turned her attention towards the main building.
"What's wrong?" I asked, activating my Qi sensing technique as well.
Bad! My soft heart had left a hidden danger. In a moment of carelessness, Li Xiao Jing's aura was no longer in her office but had moved to Cang Jing's office on the third floor.
"Kun, go again. Third floor. Finish off that woman who's still alive!" Yao Yao commanded sternly, clearly dissatisfied with our failure to tie up loose ends.
The fox demon immediately transformed and sped away.
"Sorry... it was my softheartedness," I said.
Not long after, the fox demon returned, transformed back into human form, and shook his head. "She's already made a call. She used a landline, a local number."
Li Xiao Jing's own rank was not high, so she likely couldn't contact reinforcements directly. She went to the president's office to find a reinforcement number.
I was careless. I didn't expect her to be of any use.
Yao Yao looked around, chose a building, and then glanced at Di An Na. Di An Na understood, grabbed Yao Yao's arms, swung her, and tossed her directly onto the rooftop. From the height, Yao Yao activated her Qi sensing technique and immediately shouted down, "Hurry and move the treasure! The enemy is arriving soon! There are too many experts, we can't fight them!"
