Chapter 398 Warming Up

The boss has big aspirations but isn't overly greedy. Besides the fixed cost of the water truck every three days, he only charges us 150,000 for rent, which is 5,000 yuan a day. It's practically the cheapest spa in the world. I quickly called Chu Qi to ask for instructions, but it seemed neither she nor Yao Yao had their phones. I couldn't get through, so I had to wait outside.

After waiting for half an hour, the two girls finally emerged, their faces flushed like peaches, clearly having enjoyed their soak. I told them about my discovery and asked Chu Qi if this could be a substitute for "Dragon's Pool." Chu Qi thought for a moment, "It seems like it's not impossible, I just haven't tried it before."

"Are there any requirements for the depth of the pool?" I asked, as this was the only difference between a hot spring resort and a natural pool.

"No, no need to practice diving. About two meters is fine."

That made it even easier. I directly sent the boss's number to Chen Lu and told them to coordinate.

By the time the three of us drove to the hot spring center, the boss was already out with the keys. He cheerfully handed them over to me and then left with his three employees.

The three of us took a walk around. The scale was naturally much smaller than at 'Shui Yi Fang', otherwise, it wouldn't be so cheap. However, the 25-meter standard swimming pool inside was still very good. The deepest part was exactly two meters, while the shallowest was 1.2 meters, suitable for beginners who can't swim. I wondered if any of my group, whether human or demon, couldn't swim.

I tested the water temperature. It was actually hot spring water, just not as hot as at 'Shui Yi Fang'. The electronic thermometer nearby showed the water temperature was thirty degrees, which I thought was sufficient.

Yao Yao wasn't particularly interested in the water. She had her eye on a sunroom outside the swimming pool. The room was semi-open, facing the forest plantation directly. Inside the sunroom, there were tents and quite a few barbecue grills, which could be used for a BBQ party.

"Why don't we have a barbecue party here tonight?" Yao Yao suggested.

"You decide," I said. Whether we had a barbecue or not was irrelevant, but a party by the swimming pool would likely mean they'd have to wear swimsuits, which was a pleasant prospect for me.

Yao Yao took a video with her phone and sent it to the fairies, asking for their opinions. She also added that there were plenty of wild animals in the large forest plantation next door.

I saw Ya Nan's reply in the group chat, saying she had been here when hunting in the morning and knew this place was indeed good.

With a single call, everyone responded. Only Whale God, who had joined the group last, hadn't replied, likely still sleeping in bed.

I asked Chen Ke to wake her up. A short while later, Chen Ke replied: Diana says she wants to make Siberian grilled fish for everyone!

Born from the same root, why must they torment each other? No, whales are mammals, and fish are fish, so it's still frying. I still remember the grilled tuna I ate at that rich person's house on Cui Ping Mountain in Jinling; the taste was amazing.

Finally, we agreed that everyone would go out to get their own ingredients, while Chen Ke and Diana would buy spices. We would gather at the hot spring center at 4 PM to start the festivities.

The three of us didn't need to go back. It was almost noon, so I casually ordered some takeout. After eating, the afternoon sun was just right. Yao Yao carried a lounge chair to the sunroom and lazily reclined on it, basking in the sun. After I rested for a bit, Chu Qi invited me to go into the water to try practicing my skills.

By the time I changed into my swimsuit and came out, Chu Qi was already in the water. To my surprise, I found that she had chosen a bikini set (there was a small shop in the hot spring center selling various swimwear, and the boss was generous enough to give us some for free, as they weren't expensive). What surprised me even more was that despite her weight of only about 70 jin, she had a curvaceous figure, with all the right proportions!

Chu Qi frowned, "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing," I said with a sheepish smile, "How about we warm up first?"

"Warm-up... Oh, okay." Chu Qi didn't understand my meaning. "How do we warm up?"

"Swimming is the best way to warm up," I said seriously. "You swim first, and I'll follow you, but you'd better be prepared, my swimming speed isn't slow."

"Heh, really?" Chu Qi pouted. "Then come on!"
