"Beyond the sea."
"It's still the sea?" I feigned ignorance.
"It's Sanyang Town, where your three old flames are, aren't they?" Xie Bi'an said sarcastically.
"Are you jealous?" I asked.
"Not at all, I'm just annoyed you're late. I've been waiting for you for over an hour!" Xie Bi'an pouted, then whispered softly, lowering her head, "I specially bought a new set of underwear..."
"There's still time, how about..." I pointed behind me at the heel of the ancient Yin general, which led to a large cave. There was no one inside anyway.
"You go quickly! Business is important!" Xie Bi'an pushed me towards the beach.
"Aren't you coming with me?" I asked.
"I have something to do, I need to go back." Xie Bi'an whistled, and her horse appeared from behind a large reef not far away, galloping towards her.
"Go through the Yang Realm, it's closer," I reminded her.
"No need, it's not far," Xie Bi'an, small as she was, mounted the horse. "See you again, it won't be too long, will it?"
"What, you miss me?" I laughed.
Xie Bi'an pouted, "Not at all! I'm leaving!"
With that, she rode her horse into the white sea. I didn't know if it was Xie Bi'an's magic or the horse's, but wherever they went, the water parted by about two meters, forming two water walls on either side, revealing the seabed, and thus they galloped away.
Could this be the legendary Shui Jing Beast?
Then last time, we weren't having horse sex, but beast sex!
I didn't have such abilities. I had to summon the Gale Art and tread on the waves. As I entered the misty sea fog, I activated the Qi Sensing Art and about five kilometers ahead, I spotted a lone ghostly figure, presumably Meng Po from the Bridge of Helplessness.
Ten seconds later, I arrived. It was a small island. On the beach by the island, a set of Yin realm standard railway tracks lay across, like a tangent cutting through the edge of the island. The rest of the tracks were laid on the milky white sea, one end leading to the Three Yin Palace, the other leading to the depths of the sea, to a place unknown. Looking with the Qi Sensing Art, it was a vast expanse of white, as if reaching the ends of the world.
I stopped on the beach. The island wasn't large, only about three hundred meters long and wide. There were no mountains on the island; it was more like a sandbar. I also didn't see the River of Forgetfulness, only a solitary stone bridge stuck in the sand. Meng Po's tea stall was at the other end of the bridge.
The shortest distance between two points is a straight line, so I prepared to teleport directly across the sand, saving myself the climb over the bridge, as the Bridge of Helplessness was very steep.
The moment I stepped, I felt a soft give beneath my foot. I reacted quickly and immediately withdrew my foot, looking down, I saw that the sand beneath my foot had sunk, forming a small footprint, but the sand beside it immediately filled the pit, restoring it to its original flatness.
No River of Forgetfulness, but quicksand? Otherwise, why build such a bridge?
I picked up a reef from the shore and threw it. As expected, the stone sank and was buried by the sand!
Meng Po hadn't come out yet. I didn't know how wide the river was, so I could only honestly walk across the Bridge of Helplessness. Arriving at Meng Po's tea stall, I could sense her steady breathing inside; she was likely napping. On the tea stall, there were several large bowls, and next to them, a large copper teapot. This was rebel territory, and I didn't know Meng Po's political stance, so I decided not to wake her. Having traveled for so long, I was extremely thirsty, so I poured myself a bowl of tea. Just as I was about to drink, a young girl came out from inside and quickly stopped me, "Hey, don't drink it! That's Meng Po's soup!"
"Ah..." My lips had already touched the tea. Hearing her words, I immediately put it down.
"Are you Lord Wu?" the girl asked politely.
I nodded.
"Lord Xie has already instructed me to guide Lord Wu. Are you thirsty?"
I nodded again. There was no Honey Snow Bingcheng sign here.
The girl turned and went back into the room. After taking two steps, she looked back and warned me, "Don't drink it secretly, you'll forget everything. I'll go get you some water."
I didn't even dare to lick my lips, which had touched the water, and wiped them with my sleeve. This was the real Meng Po's soup. I had gotten used to drinking beverages at the Honey Snow Bingcheng store of the Meng Po I was familiar with in Shengjing, and I almost forgot their true occupation.
A moment later, the young Meng Po came out with a cup of water and respectfully handed it to me. Since Xie Bi'an had arranged it, I had no reason to doubt her. I took the cup and drank it down: "Thank you."
The water was sweet and tasted very familiar.
"Is this water from your Yin realm?" I asked. Water from the Yang realm could be simply called Yang water, but this one couldn't be abbreviated.
"No, it's Nongfu Spring," Meng Po said with a smile.
I glanced behind her into the small room and indeed saw a familiar splash of red – a ten-liter large barrel.
"When you make Meng Po's soup, don't you use Nongfu Spring too?" I asked with a frown.
