The Mountain King of the Kindergarten

Chapter 298 The Wrath of the Deep Sea Merman King

The Azure Dragon Blood Pill, entirely blue with flecks of black interspersed, indicated its origin from a dragon that was not a pureblood.

Lin Yu had his clones present the pills. He counted them, noting that a barrel of Azure Dragon blood yielded only seven pills. The success rate was somewhat low.

He took the pills and glanced back. The Azure Dragon flinched, its eyes wide with terror as it looked at Lin Yu.

Lin Yu smiled, "Rest assured, I won't kill the goose that lays the golden egg. Alchemy ends here for today."

Hearing this, the Azure Dragon finally relaxed, its fear subsiding. Its greatest fear was Lin Yu getting carried away with alchemy and draining all its blood. Now, with Lin Yu voluntarily stopping, it had escaped a disaster. However, the thought of its future life filled it with despair.

Seeing its dejected state, Lin Fan chuckled and tossed three Blood and Flesh Pills into the air. The aroma instantly captured the Azure Dragon's attention. Its eyes lit up, and it eagerly pounced towards the pills. Lin Fan chuckled. From a distance, Lin Yu also shook his head with a smile.

Lin Yu then turned his gaze to the one hundred idle clones and commanded, "All of you, refine Blood and Flesh Pills!" The clones nodded and joined the other one hundred clones in the task.

Just as Lin Yu returned to the reef to rest, a message arrived from one of the clones: the sea beasts beneath the seabed had been wiped out! Lin Yu glanced at his upgrade points, noticing they were close to accumulation. Excited, he immediately ordered the clones to move to a new hunting ground. He, however, forced himself to calm his racing heart, sat cross-legged, and began meditating.

His side was peaceful. Yet, on the other side, a bitter battle was raging.

At this moment, thousands of miles across the sea, a human clad in armor and wielding a spear was engaged in combat with a giant kraken. This person was none other than Fang Jin, who was searching for a demigod artifact. He had expected the undersea kraken to be weak but found it incredibly troublesome. Having fought a fierce battle the previous day and suffering the loss of his son, his condition was far from optimal. Now, facing this colossal squid, he felt his strength was of little use.

"Beast, die!"

"Flame Dragon Stab!"

"Frost Phoenix Stab!"

"Hundred Insects Stab!"

...

Instantly, he unleashed dozens of piercing attacks, raining down on the monster.

"Roar!"

The monster let out a hideous roar, raising its tentacles to shield itself.

*Boom, boom, boom!*

The stabs shattered the kraken's tentacles, but to his astonishment, the tentacles regenerated instantly. This terrifying regenerative ability was what made Fang Jin's task so difficult.

"This enrages me!"

"Hundred Earth Consecutive Slashes!"

In his fury, he unleashed his ultimate move, fusing hundreds of slashes into one. His spear transformed into a weapon that was neither sword nor spear. The weapon in his hand emitted a dazzling light, illuminating the surroundings, appearing from afar like a colossal sun rising into the sky.

"Die!" He raised his weapon, and a massive slash surged towards the kraken.

The kraken roared, and hundreds of tentacles surged forward.

*Boom!*

The colossal slash met the tentacles head-on.

"Roar!"

The kraken roared loudly. In moments, its severed tentacles were restored, and it lunged at Fang Jin. Fang Jin, unable to evade, was struck by a tentacle, his body convulsing and his internal organs sustaining minor injuries. He quickly retreated but was soon pursued by another tentacle.

*Slap!*

Dozens of tentacles descended instantly, lashing down like whips from the sky.

"Vile creature!" he roared in anger, fleeing into the distance. Once he regained his strength, he charged forward again, resuming his fierce battle with the monster. The two engaged in a back-and-forth exchange, their strengths seemingly equal, neither able to gain a decisive advantage.

Meanwhile, beneath the vast ocean.

In the abyssal depths, visibility was extremely low. Sunlight could not penetrate this far down, but countless bioluminescent fish and plants served as the deep-sea light sources, illuminating the otherwise dark seabed. In this profoundly deep ocean, a rather magnificent and towering structure stood. The building, hundreds of meters high, was constructed entirely from some unknown, exotic stone found in the sea.

Inside this grand palace, a deep-sea merman sat on the throne, gazing down at the mermen below. "Any news of Jiaoming?" he asked sternly.

The mermen below looked bewildered. In their eyes, Jiaoming had only departed less than a day ago. Such a short time meant they hadn't bothered to track his whereabouts.

At this point, one merman reported, "Reporting to my King! Jiaoming met his end yesterday."

As the words fell, an eerie silence descended upon the palace, broken only by the gentle flow of water. The Merman King's eyes widened. "Are you speaking the truth?"

The merman replied, "My King, what I speak is true!"

"I believe you. Tell me, who killed my brother!" the Merman King demanded, his face contorted with rage. A few days prior, their father had died, and he and Jiaoming, as brothers, had begun vying for the throne. He had won; Jiaoming had lost. According to tribal custom, the loser had to be banished and establish their own lineage. But now, Jiaoming had died out in the world. Yet, he found it hard to believe that Jiaoming, with his Dragon Whale, his Soul Devouring Worm followers, and his command over countless sea beasts, could be killed by anyone.

The merman respectfully answered, "My King, the one who killed Jiaoming was a human!"

Humans? All the ministers looked astonished. They were aware of humans, of course, but that was a race that inhabited the land. Why would Jiaoming engage in a fight with a land-dweller?

At this point, a merman explained: "My King, from what I understand, a few days ago, humans clashed with an alien realm that had recently entered Blue Star. The two sides fought a great battle in Guixu. Although the human race emerged victorious, they lost half of their elite forces. Perhaps this was Jiaoming's plan, but unexpectedly, he was killed by the humans instead."

Upon hearing this, the mermen understood. In essence, Jiaoming had attempted to profit from the chaos but was instead killed. Many mermen inwardly sneered, grateful that Jiaoming had not ascended to the throne, lest their Deep Sea Merman tribe be annihilated one day. The ministers, each with a calm demeanor, felt no sorrow, as it was not their kin who had died.

However, the Merman King's face was flushed red, and his rage burned. "Damn humans! How dare they kill my brother! Guards, mobilize the troops against the human race! I want the human race to be buried with my brother!"

As his words echoed, the mermen looked utterly stunned. The Merman King surveyed the surroundings, and seeing their inaction, he let out a cold snort. He struck the ground sharply with his scepter.

*Buzz!*

A strange wave of light swept across all the mermen. The next moment, all the mermen were filled with terror and prostrated themselves.

"We obey our King's command!"

"Mobilize the troops, annihilate the human race!"
